Joe did a brilliant job in making the necessary adjustments and talking her through the bike and the Everards Meadow site was superb for a test ride. Cannot recommend this store, its staff and its location enough :)

The guys in the shop were friendly and helpful, and Callum had a new inner tube fitted in no time! This weekend a link in my chain broke so took the bike over one lunch time as Rutland is close to home. Ciaran was really helpful, got the bike up on the stand and fixed it straight away. The team here have always been really helpful and friendly.
P.I went into Rutland Cycling today on the advice of my walking stick manufacturer. The central connector had separated and I had lost the nut which held it together. All the staff were SO very helpful. They took the time to repair my stick seat, and they did so with thoughtfulness and a smile. I am very pleased and very grateful. Extraordinary customer service . A. P.I was cycling back from Leicester yesterday when I developed a problem with my front wheel meaning the bike became too difficult to ride. As I was in the vicinity of Rutland Cycles, I dropped by on the off-chance they might be able to help as I'd received great service in the past - and my suspicion was well-founded. Mark was incredibly helpful, finding and fixing the problem in no time at all. And, if that was already fantastic service, when I asked how much I owed them, I was told there was no charge!
Thanks to Mark, I was able to complete my journey as I'd started, rather than trudging home in the wind and rain. Many thanks once again.

d.what an amazing service from Mark and Ciaran at Rutland Cycling fosse Meadows Leicester. I phoned up at 16:55 the day before the bank holiday as my gears needed indexing and I had made a failed attempt to sort, bring it down Mark said, we can sort it, 10 mins later I was in the shop and Ciaran worked his magic and my bike was all sorted for a bank holiday full of cycling, absolutely fantastic
P. T.We visited the Rutland Cycling store at Fosse Park Leicester on Sunday 24th April as we could not get the rear tyre to seat on the wheel rim of my son Oliver’s Santa Cruz Megatower.
We were greeted by Kieran who did a really brilliant job for us in getting the tyre to inflate on the rim within minutes.
He was a really friendly guy who was kind enough to do the job free of charge and he even gave us tips on how to get it to inflate for next time .

S.I visited Rutland Cycling at Everard's Meadows this morning because I wanted some kind of pannier bags for my bike, I found the Topeak bag that slotted on to the correct rack, which I didn't have, but they also had had an attachment to accommodate the bag, which didn't fit on my rack, it turned out to not be a problem as the kind gentleman who served me made a bracket, and painted it to suit my rack, I received excellent first class service and would not hesitate to return in the future.

E. I.Took in my son's bike for adjustment and general health check. The staff in-store were extremely helpful and gave a prompt service. Also helps that there is a cycle track behind the store and you can test your bike out immediately. A 100% recommend for me.
D. P.My wife and I both bought two new e-bikes from Rutland cycling just before the end of November. Stef Brooks, the deputy manager, dealt mainly with our purchases. (With other staff being involved at certain points.) His advice invaluable. He was really knowledgeable and the service he provided was extremely professional. Nothing was too much trouble. Anything that we did not understand was explained fully and very patiently. We were never rushed into making a decision. There was always time to reflect and I really appreciated being given the time to think things through.
The Aftercare service is also fantastic. We had a slight problem with one of the bikes. When it arrived we found that we couldn't remove the battery from the bike. It was jammed. The problem was soon resolved by the team without hesitation. A new catch was ordered and replaced very quickly.
I am really happy with our ongoing experience at Rutland Cycling, Leicester and would suggest that if you are looking to purchase a new bike then try here first.
J.HUGE thanks to Ben at Rutland Cycling Leics. As a 50 something (lol) woman who hadn’t cycled for 20+ years, I fully expected to be talked down to by a young, trendy cycling fanatic but Ben had all the patience in the world and answered all my questions and more. He understood that I had once been a serious cyclist myself and wanted to get back into it. With his help, I purchased a Haibike HardSeven 5 and it’s PERFECT! Just got back from my first serious ride, incorporating trails and road cycling and I couldn’t be happier. thanks again to Ben - whatever they’re paying him, he deserves a raise!!!
A. M.I have purchased a few parts and accessories from here and have had few minor repairs made. Today I popped in as I had a wobbly headset and they guys were more than happy to take a look and pretty much repair on the spot, they even fixed another minor issue I hadn't noticed. Off on my way in less than 10 minutes. Tightening a few bolts and adding a spacer was light work for them but made the world of difference to my bikes performance. Staff are always very welcoming and friendly, the service is always above and beyond and the pricing has always been more than fare and on the occasion a quick freebie . Special shout out to Ciaran for the quick job on my bike today! I will definitely be back - Highly recommended!

P. “. W. R.I think it's always better to buy local rather than over the internet because face to face customer service goes a long way, especially when buying a bike. I was not disappointed because Callum @ Rutland Cycling Leicester was really helpful and knowledgeable. Because although I am an old roadie with lots of experience I haven't been following new bikes for over 10 years and it was super useful to me to be able to ask Callum the odd question about, through axles, tubeless tyres and such, the new developments that I have no experience with. So all in all a great friendly service, and a big thumbs up. Oh yes and a great bike too.

R. H.Please read whole review. So....Back in about June 2020 I was lucky enough to find an E bike still in stock at Rutland Cycles. After purchasing it online and told that it would be here by the following Tuesday I waited with excitement. Tuesday came and went and no bike. I called them and was told something had gone wrong and that someone else had got it. How could that be? I bought and paid online!? They seemed pretty rubbish to be honest and I was not impressed. After some telephone call and emails of disgust I had a call to offer me a similar bike that had been awaiting hire but with pandemic this had not happened. It was held for me for 24hrs. I viewed and rode one, and decided to buy that instead. They also gave me free rear mudguard, water bottle and a service plan for their error. They redeemed themselves a bit with that. However, since then it has had a service which was performed quickly, and they fixed a gear fault it had had from new. I also recently had a little 'off' and the gears were again not quite right. Booked in for the following day they took it, repaired it and lubricated chain. Cost? £12!! Absolutely brilliant! So, I actually recommend these guys for all your cycling needs. They came good!

Mark even went above and beyond with a quick tighten up all round so I can keep riding while I wait for parts without causing more damage. J. H.Recently bought a Giant e-Road bike and had fantastic customer service since day 1 from Mark and the team. Had to go back a few times just to get it right, but nothing was ever a problem and their willingness to help me every time has been excellent. Needed 2 new tubeless tyres after a puncture which knackered one of the tyres. Mark sourced a pair from one of their other stores and fitted them the same day. Definitely my first choice bike shop for customer service.

D. H.I went into the Leicester branch after having chatted with staff at the Whitwell branch when hiring a bike on two very recent occasions to cycle round Rutland Water. In Leicester, I met Callum who was great to talk to about what I was after and we very quickly found a bike in the shop that fitted the bill.
We also chatted about helmets (my last one written off in a crash!) and a security chain, so I added one of each to the purchase. Visiting the shop near the end of a busy bank holiday Monday, the bike would be ready for collection after its service on the Wednesday. I was very pleased to receive a text message at midday on the Tuesday that the bike was ready! I then took it for a ride around Rutland Water - it seemed a fitting first ride. When I collected the bike, Callum was there again to meet me.
I also asked him about jackets and again appreciated his candour on the products available and purchased what I thought was the right thing. I didn't need to wear it during the ride, but it was good to put on straight after to keep warm - a good addition to the cycling wardrobe now it's getting cooler in the afternoons.

D. K.Updating my review, Nice range of bikes, poor range of accessories. Apparently this is due to global shortages, yet you can buy most things from the Rutland cycling online shop. Id sooner see the items in the shop to be honest. Anyway the staff member i spoke to today was helpful enough. Ill give 4 stars when you have more stuff in the shop rather than online.

I liken the experience to shopping at an Apple store . Steve Jobs would be impressed.

The level of customer service that I have received is outstanding, nothing was too much trouble for the team, I spoke to a few of the team on the phone and all were super helpful, even when I could tell that the shop was very busy. They took the time to listen to a very specific problem I had with picking up the bike as originally agreed, and because I couldn't pick it up, they agreed to personally deliver the bike to my house.
The bike was delivered by Mandy who was fantastic, and called just before setting off to let me know an approximate time for delivery.
The bike itself was set up professionally and I could talk to them about any set up issues I had, as this is my first E-Bike.
To summarise, it is so good to know that there are shops out there that still offer such good customer service, I am more than happy to give a five star review to this outstanding team. Many Thanks.

Today I needed a small replacement bolt for a seat clamp and Mark could not have been more helpful, supplying a new bolt FOC, thank you Mark. whether I have used the Leicester store or any of their other shops the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Team in store very helpful and knowledgeable, and level of customer support excellent. I ordered a bike that wasn't on the company website, but this was not an issue as they knew exactly what to do and order was placed. Initially disappointed that order was delayed, but this was related to current supply issues from Gazelle, and nothing to do with Rutland Cycling. G. W.I visited the new store as i wanted to buy a decent commuter bike for my journey to work. On my first visit I was helped by Mark M, I really appreciated how much he listened to what I felt i needed, and offered very practical advice on the areas I was less sure about.
As the bike we felt was best wasn't in store he ordered one in for me to test ride and that came very quickly. As I was purchasing the bike through a Cycle to Work scheme I made a few visits to the store. It was Mark who helped me on each occasion and his communication via phone and email was fantastic.

A. M.I had a ride ending bolt blow out mid ride on Sunday. Called the team at the Leicester branch to see if they could fit in a repair so we could carry on the day, “No problem, bring it in” they said.
When I arrived they took the steed off to surgery and came back 10 mins later with 2 surrogate bolts in the frame to get me going again.
They wouldn’t even accept payment. Proper gents.
I will be back in the week to get my first mountain bike from there.

The service I received was that good that even in these crazy times we are all experiencing I still needed to find the time and express my gratitude to the whole of the Rutland staff in Leicester. In particularly Ciaran, whom dealt with me in a manner that was most professional but more importantly in a way that made me feel welcome and at ease. I have had many problems with my bike (manufactures problem not Rutland's) and on every occasion the staff have always been top notch. Credit to you all in these most trying times.

s. p. s.Rang the store to get some advice re a repair following what seemed to be a serious mechanical while out riding. Helpful from the off, with Mark telling me to bring the bike in to assess what needed doing. Half an hour later and the damage wasn't quite as bad I first feared. All that was needed was a new chain, the wheel needed "true-ing" and the mudguards adjusting for good measure and not long after I was on my way. Cost far less than I thought it would do and can't recommend the whole team enough. Polite, professional and helpful - and also very Covid-safe in these trying times.

Having had a new chain fitted elsewhere, I found out on today’s ride that there was an issue as it would click with almost every rotation and generally felt like the gears were covered in sand. And to top it off on the ride I had lost a bolt from my cleats and my shoe was stuck in the pedal (although that was my fault for not tightening it up enough). Despite showing up on spec, neither of these was an issue for Richard and Ciaran and I cannot thank you both enough for helping me out. If google would let me give you more stars I would!
Just wanted to add I popped down just over a month after my initial visit with (self inflicted) gearing issues. Ciaran sorted everything quickly and easily. Thank you once again!

I’m a disabled cyclist with a hybrid bike which attaches to a wheelchair. I took my e-bike into Community Bikes for a new tire. Upon picking it up, I found that my bike had stopped working. The owner washed his hands of it, saying he had only disconnected and reconnected one cable.
I took the bike into Rutland Cycling, and despite not seeing one of these bikes before (only one place in the UK supplies and fixes them), a gentleman called Mark took his time diagnosing and fixing the problem for FREE!
Today is Purple Tuesday, and as one of the ambassadors, my role is to encourage businesses to offer better support to disabled people. Rutland Cycling is a shining example of offering exemplary services to disabled people.
I wish more businesses would follow their example. Well done Rutland Cycling!

R. D.I was so close to giving a 5 star plus review... Experienced a rear wheel puncture on my road bike on way to work at 5am yesterday. Worried about my 10 mile ride home after work at 6pm I called Rutland Cycling - the closest bike store.. Was warm welcomed on the call and put at ease in having it repaired whilst I wait..On arrival.. Again warm welcomed by Mark and having my bike taken away and returned not long after. I was provided what was sound advice on varying tyres suitable for comfort and less of a bumpy ride.What a great store and staff .. Rushed back to work thinking why am I feeling an intermittent bump on every rear wheel revolution? Must be this road... Nope it contined.. Hang on did my gears just slip? The faster I rode the bumpier it got.. What's happened here? Was the sound advice to a comfier tyre made to mask the bump that was known I would feel? Unfortunately I will take the bike to Evans or my local bike peddler to find out what's happened here. I thank you for repairing the bike so I could ride 10 miles home albeit uncomfortably (1 star) and the other 2 stars for how I was treated and provided great customer service but ultimately the the job in hand/ workmanship I cannot give. Gutted really.. Gutted even for having to submit this review.
S. C.The staff at the Rutland Everard store are simply brilliant. I entered the store as an extremely nervous 60yr old female cyclist, looking to buy an electric bike. I had a list of requirements, a step through with easy gears and something that would help me to ride with my super fit husband. Within minutes I was off on a test ride onto the Great Central Way being guided through the Scott bike set up. Really knowledgeable people who genuinely want you to enjoy riding. I've now had the bike for just over a month and I've been on numerous bike rides and just love it. I've been back to the store a couple of times and every time the service has been great. A. M.I've always been a fan of Rutland Cycles and used to travel 45 minutes to the Whitwell store for advice and purchases, but since the Leicester store opened now only travel for 10 minutes. The staff are fantastic, and I have received top rate help from the service mechanics Ciaran and Maddie, plus excellent sales advice, tips, and demonstrations from Clair, Dean, and 3 others who's names escape me for the moment, including a demonstration of how to use a simple thing like a small pump as I was having difficulty getting mine to lock onto the tyre valve. In this instance Clair used a pump from the display to show me its benefits as well as working out how to alter the components of the pump to fit a Presta valve instead of a Shrader valve which involved her getting on her knees to attach the pump to a bike and letting me try the pump out, such dedication! On another occasion I wanted to know how to attach a rear light to my helmet, and an employee let me know the tips for doing this and what lights would be suitable. A big thank you to you all for being such an enthusiastic team!
February 2021 UPDATE: They've done it again - beyond great service! Ciaran in particular gave me rapid advice on the phone and when I couldn't fix a bent jockey wheel cage, he sorted it out quickly. It's really worth getting to know this team at Leicester, they really look after you and it feels like a family rather than an anonymous attitude.

S.I placed an order last wednesday and received my bike prompt on the friday, it came pre inspected and almost fully built, all that was required my end was to put the pedals on and turn the handle bars. However to my disappointment the derailer had got bent in delivery, no fault of rutland cycles but these things happen, i returned the bike the following day (saturday) where i was greeted by stefan Brooks. The guy couldnt do enough and tried to fix it first however it couldnt be fixed so they ordered me a replacement no questions asked, i picked the bike up today to find theyd thrown in a complementary drinks bottle and holder and i couldnt be happier with my new bike, thanks to stefan and his team who turned a negative into a huge positive. Thanks again.

M. A.I visited Rutland Cycles at Fosse Park recently. I usually go to Evans for my cycling needs. I was looking to buy my first pair of cycling shoes with cleats. Richard, who served me was fantastic, extremely patient as I tried on a variety of shoes to get the right pair, explaining the nuances and subtleties of my first “clipped-in” shoes. He took the time to explain how to fit them, let me trial the new shoes on an in-door turbo and then even fitted the new pedals for me. Amazing! I’ll be needing a full service on my bike very soon and I won’t hesitate to take my bike along to Rutland Cycles.
