First heard about Francis here on Google. Very impressed with his service. Came round to my flat and fixed my road bike. Seriously recommend. Very pleased with the service. Gone are the days of taking my bike to a shop and having them replace nearly every part in the bike without explanation.

Francis gave my bike a full service with just a couple of days' notice, whereas other places I'd tried couldn't fit me in for weeks.
He's reasonably priced, friendly, extremely knowledgeable and works evenings and weekends, which is very handy. Will definitely be using him again

I recently moved to the area and arrived back home one evening with a puncture. I didn't have any tools or a tube to fix it. I found Francis on google maps looking for the closest place to me that would be able to help and would ideally let me buy a tube and use their tools to fit it as I'm short on cash at the moment. Francis was super helpful. The place can be a little hard to find but once you are at the address just call the number on the listing and he will come in and show you up to the workroom. He helped me change the tube and gave me really good advice, without any hard sell on some other things I had questions about regarding the maintenance of the bike. This is a small operation by a guy who is super helpful, friendly, knowledgable and passionate about what he does. It's always nice to be able to give your custom to people who really care about what they do. I would def take the bike back in future if I need anything. I have never written a review on here but he was so helpful that I want to help a new you business in any way I can. Also, there's a great coffee shop just below the workshop! Happy cycling and do head there. Can't recommend him enough.

Francis no longer rents the workspace above Craving Coffee - but will collect and return bikes on his custom built trailer.
He collected my rusty old Shopper, and returned it a week later - looking (almost) like new! He agreed on using recycled/spare parts to improve my bike, which is just what I wanted.
Very reasonable - good at communicating via text and email. Will recommend.

My tyres were deflated and he very kindly pumped them up for me and gave me advice on which locks to purchase. Just a genuinely super friendly, super helpful chap. If I have any issues with my bike, I would 100% come back. Thank you so much!
PS: do call in advance to make sure he is in the workshop

This guy restored a vintage Raleigh for me for a great price. The bike is beautiful, the personalised fitting has changed the way I cycle, and I felt very looked after. Good service and he's really passionate about bikes.

Took a chance based on the reviews - did not regret it!
Ok, so the place could be off putting if you didn’t know where to go. The address and location is correct. It’s a red gate, but the company name isn’t on the front, best advice is to give him a call/text when out front.
His workshop is situated within a larger building, well equipped, organised and professional with touch payment card machine and email receipts too.
I dropped my bike off for a tube-up, he told me the scope of the works and what he thought was needed, all sounded reasonable and well priced. A text later in the day to confirm everything - awesome.
Will swing in again next time I’m passing through along the canal, great guy/service. Would definitely recommend.

Fixed some issues with my brakes and wheels immediately, with basically no notice on a Sunday afternoon, despite having a steady stream of customers popping in and out. I'd also installed some new wheel skewers the wrong way and they'd got stuck (because I'm an idiot), but he managed to get them off and showed me how to do it correctly. Really nice and knowledgable guy, cool little workshop space too, I would definitely return.
