Reviews of On Your Bike
A. P. V.
Staff and friendly and were very helpful in getting me a rental bike with my difficult schedule. Was very impressed with the rental bike as well, it was well maintained and serviced.
Such an underrated company that deserves more attention. Its difficult finding a place to rent a road bike in February in London!
D. I.
Very friendly service! I lost a fixing plate on my rear derailleur and was trying to get a replacement everywhere. Most shops didn’t even want to talk. A very friendly mechanic in On Your Bike not only offered me help, but did a crash course on indexing! Would recommend this shop to anyone, and they do excellent weekend rental deals as well!!
B. C.
Absolute legends here. Let me borrow a hammer to fix my bike even after the shop had shut on a Friday night. Brilliant service, would highly recommend. Also avoid the Evans cycle next door at all costs, they are rude and unhelpful (expletives)!
G. T.
Great, fast and attentive service, very helpful in picking out a bike light to replace one that had failed on my way home.
D. S.
Took bike in for first service and all went well. Got a call saying it needed certain new components before they fitted them to get my ok. Good service for a service!
C. F.
Super friendly shop, I loved these guys. If you can’t find it you’re probably underneath it as it’s on the pedestrian walkway above the street level.
G.
Great bikes, nice people. Responsive and helpful staff. Very happy with the advice and fast service.

Would definitely recommend. Full honestly from staff, no hard selling or trying to just flog you anything, which as I’ve found out lately is rare! Staff went above and beyond spending time with me. I was after a very specific model but not sure on size as I was bang on the line between two, sadly due to no fault of the store there is a stock shortage of the particular bike but staff fully sized me up, and happened to size me upto the size they couldn’t get hold of from the manufacturer quickly. They were honest about this and didn’t try and sell me the size they could get quicker. This is definitely a bike shop for cyclists, where you are seen as a cyclist rather than a sales quota.
Without doubt I will come here first for bike maintenance, accessory purchases and when it comes to buying a new bike.

What a great service I received last Saturday morning! My partner and my bikes were stolen on Friday evening, and we needed to rent bikes as we had plans cycling with friends for the weekend. Couldn't book online on Friday night and when I turned up the guy initially said there were no bikes available as his mechanic was not here. In the end, he kindly prepared 2 hybrid bikes for us, he was very friendly and he saved our weekend plan. The bikes were very good! Thank you again!

Broke my chain during lockdown and attempted to get it fixed by Evans who told us they didn't have a mechanic in despite being an essential shop (and tried to sell us a chain without a quick link which would have defeated the purpose of our intent to install it on our own). On Your Bike team were able to help me out even though they were really busy by installing a quick link to my chain easily. They're knowledgeable and actually care! Thanks guys
s.
insane quality of service, took bike in for 1st service done about 1000k on it, came away with what feels like a brand new bike and loads of advise and tips. Way beyond service i would expect. If there was 6 stars Scott gets that... i will be clearly using you guys again..

Great renting service, the staff was very nice and friendly, I rented a bike for a week and explored London for the first time on a bike: wow simple amazing as the city is very cycling friendly with proper lanes and so on! I also got a problem as somebody hit my bike near the chain and I got it fix it for free! 👍
P. “. S.
Had an issue where I needed a spacer for fitting the cassette to an indoor trainer and they were very helpful and had a look downstairs and found one and they didn’t want anything for it. Just fitted and every things running smooth. Will be popping there again next time I need something for my bike

OYB London Bridge actively and promptly liaised with Trek regarding a warranty claim for a bike I bought from OYB 10 years ago.
Great service and outcome, very happy

Since 2010 Robert and his brilliant team at On Your Bike has acted as a hub for our cyclists so that we can transport their bikes out to/from France for our cycling event. They have always been super friendly and very very efficient, welcoming our riders and taking good care of their bikes before our vans collect them - and the same on return. Many of our riders get On Your Bike to service their bikes before/after their cycle tour - and the feedback has always been excellent. They are an important part of our extended event team and we look forward to continuing to work with them in the years to come. Thanks for a great service!

Always the best experience. I bought my first proper road bike here and I'd been a couple of times more to fix flat tyres for an older bike that I previously had (which size was not usual and only them had!). Very helpful and friendly staff and prices not expensive at all. I would recommend this place to any bike lover.
M. H.
Had a lovely experience buying my first bike for cycling in London. Great and knowledgeable staff who answered all my questions. The relaxed atmosphere made me feel like I could really take my time to make up my mind. Absolutely thrilled with my bike!

I bought my brompton bike here during 1st lockdown. Excellent service throughout and very helpful aftercare. I cannot speak too highly of this great shop which I'm fortunate to have in my local neighbourhood.

I required a hybrid bike rental for a week while I was in London, en route to Paris.
My reservation and every question was handled perfectly online and the service I received when I arrived was exactly what was expected. Everything was sorted out for me in anticipation of my arrival and I cannot say a negative thing about the London location of On Your Bike. Thanks to the staff for making a crucial part of my trip, seamless and enjoyable.
The bike I received ticked every box, a pleasure to ride and suited the terrain I was to travel perfectly.
M. G.
Friendly people, great service, no issues - listened to me when I explained an issue with my bike and then fixed it with the service. Repaired a cable one day before I had a multi day ride. Recommended.

Visited London from the US in Aug 2019. I have rented bikes before but this was the best experience. Michael was extremely helpful. I had called before arriving and the bike was ready. I needed to install my bike computer and Michael found a mount for me. In addition, he swapped my pedals but since I took the wrong pedals, he replaced them again and installed another set of pedals. Not only the work was prompt, but the helpful attitude was wonderful.
Finally, Michael loaned TWO locks to my sister to ensure that her bike will be safe and came up with a creative solution to lock her personal bike in front of the shop so that we can keep it there even after the shop closes and return the keys.
I am customer for life whenever I visit London.

I got a flat tire on the road so I brought it into On Your Bike. I was helped immediately. I asked if they could teach me how to change the inner tube and they explained each step and answered all of my questions. They even adjusted the alignment of the handlebars for me. The labor was 10 pounds. They are located above another bike shop and are a bit hard to find since they moved location, but the help I got made it well worth the search!
B. B.
Rented a deluxe road bike for 3 days. Better value (cost, bike quality) than my experience in Monterrey CA and Vancouver. Emailed close of business one day, they emailed back first thing next day, and had bike ready 1 hour later when I arrived. Locked bike outside, so they gave me 2 locks, bike was safe. Well maintained bike, no mechanical issues. Riding London is a little hectic, but great way to see and experience The City.
D. W.
Short Version - if you want to rent a bike in London this is the place to go; friendly, helpful, responsive, economical.
Long version - I was coming to London from Seattle to do a weekend ride (150 miles, nothing too heavy) with some old college buddies. From some quick searching, On Your Bike seemed the cheapest place to rent a fairly decent road bike. The only hiccup was their web site didn't accept my US phone number, but they responded quickly to an email, so I was all set.
They have a range of bikes for all budgets and purposes, including high end at reasonable prices. If you are coming to the UK this is a much better option than bringing your own bike. The bike I rented was in the kind of condition you'd expect for a bike that had been well maintained while being in continuous use over a season. The bike gave me no problems at all, and performed as well as my own (after a few miles to get used to differences in the way it rode).
When I came to pick up the bike they were super helpful - fitted my pedals (the bikes otherwise come with regular flat pedals) and offered me a couple of inner tubes which could be (and were) accepted back for a full refund when I returned the bike. Also offered other useful accessories, but I'd brought my own. Pickup took less than half an hour, and on the return I was all done in about 10 minutes.
Overall a very good experience; highly recommended.
L. e.
I had a very positive experience renting a hybrid bike for the weekend. The hybrid bike is excellent and comes with a lock/helmet (if you ask for it) - all for a great price! Staff is very friendly too
M. B.
Rented a bike from On Your Bike for 3 days of cycling around London. The service at the store was pretty good, but the bike was not that well maintained. The rear derailleur cable broke when I was in Windsor (50km from home) leaving me to limp back in the 11 sprocket. The gentlemen said they'd sort me out with something when I returned the bike, but it's been a week and I haven't heard anything.
My recommendation would be to check over the bike thoroughly before taking it. I thought the shifter was just indexed poorly, but I think it was due to a fraying cable that eventually snapped.
B. L.
I recently rented a bike from OYB for the weekend. Unfortunately, the bike had a mechanical issue at the beginning of the second day of riding. The shop not only paid for the cab back into town with the bike, but refunded well over half the cost of the rental. Excellent service.
F. C.
What a wonderful bike shop! The workshop is fantastic, and all the staff are knowledgeable and approachable. No one tries to sell you anything you don't need, but instead they listen and give the right advice, which means you get exactly what you needed. The shop staff are great too, and all share their own experiences and opinions. I've switched a number of products (lubes, nutrition, etc.) on the recommendations of staff, and never been disappointed. I started visiting because I live nearby, but now I'd come from miles away; I'd never trust my bike with anyone else! It can be a little hard to find first time, but persevere and you'll find a gem that you'll be glad to have on your side.
T. A.
They were very insightful, I missed my first check due to injury and they showed understanding, even calling to fill me in on repairs necessary. Bike runs good as new now, class acts!
A. S.
I had a puncture on my way home last night around 8pm. Having used On Your Bike before I took my bike there in the hope that the shop would still be open. To my delight I can say that, although the shop was closed a member of staff unlocked the doors for me and booked my bike in for me, which I was able to pick up this morning ready to go back to work.
The staff is great, the advice they give is accurate and I feel as though the customer comes first.
Will definitely go again after this experience and would recommend this shop.

Looking for a road bike to rent in London, I came across On Your Bike. Online process was super easy, bike was ready when I arrived, guys in the shop were fantastic and the bike itself fabulous. Always going to use the service whenever I am back home in London. Can only recommend.
F. A.
I rented three hybrid bikes for myself and my parents for the Prudential Freecycle event. I was pleasantly surprised with the top quality service and hardware I got for a very decent price! The bikes were modern, light-weight and perfectly maintained. This is also definitely one of the best placed bike shops in all of London for that event.
S. H.
By far the most helpful workshop staff in any London bike shop I have come across over the past 5 years. It's now the only workshop I go to.
I have stopped in a number of times looking for parts, or for maintenance only for a mechanic to either remedy an issue there and then for free, or take time to show me how to fix the issue myself.
When the work required is more involved I have always received speedy service, and very fair pricing. The workshop have even ordered parts in for me at cost.
You couldn't ask for better. #1 LBS in London.
F. S.
We have hired two Trek hybrid bikes for a week with a friend and the bikes were perfect. Well maintained, very good brakes, gears working perfectly and even the seats did not cause too much pain after a week of every day cycling. We have took the bikes from London all the way to St. David's on the west coast of Wales. Even though the bikes at first sight may not look appropriate for that sort of distance especially with the bags, they proved to be more than fit for the challenge (definitely more so than our legs at some moments). And all this for a price of 45 pounds. If that is not a bargain, I don't know what is.
On top of that the staff is very friendly and cool. I highly recommend them.
J. F.
I visited this store for the first time today but it will not be my last visit! I need a brake service but other issues arose and were sorted easily! They were amazing! Super kind, thorough, patient and informative. Thank you so much.
S. M.
Good bike rental service. Good response time by email for details. The bikes I rented came with a few items missing and they supplied these on the spot. Still, the bikes needed another check-up - we had small problems with the breaks, a dry chain and gears for one of the bikes. It would be helpful to have some space outside to test the bikes...
G. D.
Very professional hire service. I hired a Trek Emonda 105 thru the London Bridge shoppe for 3 days and cycled to Box Hill for some training rides. The staff we very helpful and fit my cleats and pedals, seat height perfectly. the bike was in great shape and never let me down once during the time I had the bike. I would highly recommend this shop for cycle hire if visiting London.
I. S.
An excellent bike shop with a good range of products and very helpful staff. They are very accommodating when it comes to booking repairs and ordering parts. Mikhail in particular has been very helpful towards me on a number of occasions. Give them your custom and not certain other bike shops nearby.
L. H.
Great service from the guys here - took a Brompton in to have mudguards & rack added and they were very quick in getting it done.
Really helpful with my questions about accessories etc too, couldn’t recommend more.
J. K.
Came in with a 3 day old but poorly prepared 1500 quid bike. Ben and Amy did a fantastic job in sorting it out and made it what it should have been when it left the manufacturer. Can't rate them highly enough. Professional, honest and trustworthy. Never used them before - will always use them from now on. Openlate until 7.30pm most evenings. Excellent. Use them.
F. N.
Went there after being disappointed by Evans Cycle again. They took my bike immediately and fixed it in half a day. Great service, great staff, decent prices... my new favorite bike shop
J. R.
I rented a bike there for a day's ride. Lots of choices, and friendly, knowledgeable people eager to get you on the right bike for you. The bike was nearly new, and they throw in a helmet and lock. Less expensive than the competition. Montague Close is just barely a public passageway and you have to walk around a restaurant's outdoor seating area in a tiny courtyard to find the shop but have faith, it's really there, and it's kind of fun to be shopping in a vault under the street.
J. H.
Excellent bike shop and very happy to help with even minor issues. I lost a retaining bolt coming over London Bridge, dropped in and they found me a new one and had me on my way in minutes and didn't even charge me for the privilege! Good stock of Brompton parts and accessories too.

Hard to find at the moment in their temporary location but worth seeking out. Really great service, popped in on a Saturday with my back wheel unannounced – a failed self-repair. Helped me out of a tight spot even though there wasn't really any money in it for them, in the end I had actually pinched the tube, so had to be replaced and they had the right one in stock and left it with them for a couple of hours, all done, only charged me for the tube. Everyone I dealt with was helpful and informative.
J. F.
I popped in here yesterday, it's quite hidden, i've never noticed it before. The staff were extremely helpful, they stock some good bikes and components. They do have more MTB than most London bike shops (usually mainly road bikes) but these are pretty much all hardtails with one exception on the full suspension front. Nevertheless I enjoyed my visit and it is definitely on my list of good bike shops that I will make use of. They stock and lot of Whytes. if I was after a road bike would probably have given 5*
J. K.
Ben is the most helpful and knowledgeable Brompton cycle mechanic. I was thoroughly impressed with his dedication to sort out my recent Brompton related issues. Also supplied me with a loan bike while mine was being fixed. This cycle shop is not the easiest to find but so worth it when you do. I cannot recommend highly enough.
A. P.
Not cheap and constantly busy but welcoming and cheerful. Good technical knowledge, bike fits look thorough. Good across road, off road and folders. Clothing range has attractive discounts and the odd special ends up in the bargain bin for a rummage.
S. W. M.
The service can be slow at times and the price for parts can be pricey. But, the 5* rating is for their workshop. Whenever I've had problems with my bikes, they're always on hand to help and make little fixes. This is my go to place for all my bike servicing needs.
D. W.
The difference between good service and great service is the response to remedying a problem with a purchase. Top marks fixing the issue I had with a new bike I bought from them quickly, efficiently and without fuss.
S. G.
Excellent service when I called regarding a problem with my Brompton. Firstly, the phone was answered almost immediately, secondly there was the option of the technician talking me through what I needed to do but I decided to go along to the shop and immediately someone fixed the problem. Everyone I dealt with was extremely helpful. Worth the trip from Canary Wharf to London Bridge. Hugely impressed.
K. 0.
I stumbled upon them during my commute to work and having had few super bad experiences at Evans I gave them a shot.... This was about 8 months ago and since then I have had a full service, a massive help service before a 500km charity bike ride and they just put the bike back into commuter mode. Cannot recommend them enough! It's worth the slight price difference you will notice if you compare to Evans.... ignore that and go to OYB Thank you Team!!!
S. W.
On Thursday 11 June I had a chat with staff about changing the cassette on my bike and adding shims. On Monday 15 June, I collected my bike with new additions and am very happy with it. I was treated very well by the staff and all my questions were answered without the hint of condescension, I've had elsewhere in the past.
10/10 - would use again.
J. X.
An amazing experience all together with On your Bike, an affordable trip wherein I selected my own mountain bike and then visited the streets of London with my own pace and style.
The best part about On your Bike is their helpful staff and their online reach that helped me a lot during my trip and most of all the convenience to return the bike.
J. R.
Great service and will certainly rent a bike from them every time I'm in London.
£12 per day after the first day is very reasonable for a hybrid rental but the team are all very friendly and helpful
J. W.
5 star service from these guys. I rented a bike just before the country was locked down and they could not have been more helpful (especially Mickael). I have no hesitation in recommending
K. S.
Rented deluxe and got me all the way from London to Bristol. Really good bike! Accidentally gave it back one day late but no extra charge. Great people. Keep on cycling!
C. F.
An excellent all-round cycle shop. Well-stocked, friendly staff. Well worth visiting if you're in the area you need d cycling related. Bike hire available as well.
C. W.
Such a great bike shop, so helpful, friendly and efficient. I have used the place recently for parts, repairs, accessories and a return and they have been so easy to deal with. Highly recommend.

I rented a road bike to cycle to Paris in August 2016. All went without a hitch. The staff were very personable and flexible with regard to my needs. Highly recommend.
S. P.
Excellent service from friendly and knowledgeable people. They stock a wide range of products and give good advice, they've even helped me out a couple times when bits have fallen off my bike, free of charge. Thanks!
C. D.
Blow out on the way home..called on Your Bike London Bridge to see if they would do an emergency repair and fortunately they said YES! 5 minute walk there and 10 min wait and hey presto I was back on my way home again. All for a mere £15. Thrilled! Very pleasant, helpful and smiley staff, and exceptionally efficient service. Thank you!!!
W. V.
Great place. Out on a ride to surrey from East London- brake calliper spring popped out. The guys (before opening time) took it in, played around with it, changed the brake cable, put a new bolt and spring in and sent me on my way within about 20 mins. Great service - a million times better than evans across the road who were completely disinterested and told me I just needed a new calliper!
Would really recommend these guys - really friendly. Look out for the shop from street level - right by borough market!!!
C. P.
On Your Bike have saved me twice in two weeks! Both times the helpful and friendly staff have managed to help me out on there and then, meaning I've been able to cycle off again straight away. Particular thanks to Scott and Alex.
F. B.
I use On Your Bike regularly, they have a good selection and an efficient + reasonably priced workshop. Some staff are more helpful/knowledgable than others so If you don't get a helpful answer first time then try a different member of staff! On the whole a far better alternative to Evans.
J. W.
Blown back tyre in the rain late for work. Saved by early opening and friendly London Bridge shop. Open late too. Very reasonable prices too - and you even tightened up my brakes which needed doing. Cheers!
D. Q.
Friendly and professional. Got in touch when they said they would and even delivered the bikes to our offices. The bikes they provided were ideal for our ride to Paris and the hire charge was very reasonable.
H. S.
I'd recently bought a good road bike and after riding it a week realized the tires needed air.
During my coffee break took a ride to the shop the assistant was great, charged me nothing for the service
Really appreciated it
A. G.
Having had bad experiences with other workshops this is now the only place I will take my precious bikes to be worked on. The service is always excellent and reasonably priced.
S. S.
Prices are fair and service is speedy, very impressed! Had my rear wheel replaced well within 24hrs and a handlebar replacement turned around in 2hrs.

Great advice, fantastic service. My bike now rides perfect.

Rented a hybrid bike for a weekend trip with friends. Pick up and drop off were uncomplicated, and the bike was really great for the price!
H. I.
Highly recommended. Friendly staff and good bikes for rent.

My saddle fell of this morning... Evans were no help at all, but luckily I found these guys under the bridge by the cathedral. They were brilliant - helped me fix the problem and have arranged for their fitting expert to help me adjust my saddle to avoid it happening again.
T. R.
Excellent bike rental. Efficient service and the bike was well set up - it ran very smoothly. I would certainly recommend them.
B. H.
I wrapped my chain around my cranks (it was looking terminal for the chain) and Ben the mechanic sorted me out in rush hour: no appointment, 3 minutes and I was back on the road. Legend.
S. L.
Great service helped me understand what i needed and showed me how to use it in a friendly way without making me feel pressured to buy, which is not the case in alot of shops. This great service is why i will be coming back in the future good good good
