The staff were patient and did not push. I was able to come back a couple of times to look at a bike and even try and fit a bike seat to the back. They were friendly and responsive and had good communication on email.

Very nice bicycle store but I’m here to compliment them on the pop up coffee machine outside
Simply the best Cortado coffee I’ve ever tasted
Really really good on par with illy cafe round the corner but cheaper.
If your nearby and fancy a good cup of take away coffee try this place

I had the unfortunate experience of having my saddle and seat post stolen from my bike and had no way of getting home. After Evans had told me that they had no seat posts and that there was no other bike shop nearby (and generally not helping!), we stumbled across Velorution and popped in, probably with a look of desperation on our faces. Thankfully, the staff were amazingly helpful and for an extremely good price fitted a new seat post and saddle! Can’t thank them enough for helping us out in our hour of need!

I cannot recommend Tom highly enough. Having decided with my sister and brothers to buy our Dad a Kalkhoff electric bike, where no other bike shop in the UK managed to locate one, Tom accessed one of 8 left in the Kalkhoff factory in Germany and ensured we had it in time for Fathers Day. Very knowledgeable, helpful and accommodating. Thank you

Great store. Excellent service, everyone in the store shown high level of understanding, competence, devotion and very freindly. I was well taken care of by Mr. Bradley who helped me pick the right bike that fits my purpose and witnessed how his collegues deal with the other customers with atmost care and attention. If you look for a bike thats definitely the place to be

I just bought a superb bike there (which you can only find in their shops).
I visited the store last minute on a Friday evening, and the staff went the extra mile to get it ready even though we were dangerously nearing (/ exceeding) closure time. They were patient, helpful, and very nice. This is proper service. Congrats and thank you.

I had a good look around various places, online and in store before purchasing two bikes and was impressed with their pricing and more so availability at what I was looking for.
Evans and the like do have more bikes, but they are a bit same-same with no difference in pricing.
The store itself is very well presented and they cater for a wide range of prices from about £400 up to the £000's. All the staff I met are very courteous, knowledgeable people who also have their own opinions about various products and aren't at all one-directional minded (say, like in an Apple store).
Their 0% finance was also really quick to set up and useful as was purchasing two bicycles with accessories and what-not.
Highly recommend visiting and trying out the various models of bikes, you'll probably end up walking out with one.

You can really tell how good a shop is not when things go right, but when they go wrong.
I had numerous issues develop with a custom build just a week or so after purchase, but these concerns were immediately taken seriously and rectified by the store as soon as I brought it to their attention.
They were also very good in building the custom quote for the bike.
A big thanks to Miranda and Tom in particular!

Velorution have a great selection of bikes, mainly sourced from smaller independent brands. The shop is like a gallery and so worth visiting even if just to have a cup of tea and admire!
I'm surprised at some of the comments below as I loved the service and advice I was given. I haven't cycled in years but after borrowing different bikes and speaking to the guys I settled for what has quickly become my most prized possession. It fits me perfectly and no doubt will give me many years of joy.
Overall 5/5. Thanks.
To add: they have a great blog. Worth checking out.

A funky urban orientated bike shop full of interesting goodies. As overseas visitors we stumbled across this shop in our 'visit bike shops' expedition. The customer service was exceptional and very friendly. Would love to revisit and try an electric bike but our plane leaves today.

Bought a Brooks saddle here and enjoyed ogling beautiful, custom, and funky bikes. For what it's worth, they have the biggest selection of Brooks saddles here and carry almost every make and model in multiple colors and different rail versions (steel, copper, ti).
The staff that helped me out was very friendly and happy to talk all things bicycle with me.
Seems to be bit on the pricey side but the gear and bikes they offer for sale are sufficiently upscale as well.

Small store with a fine selection of great bikes and accessories. Highly competent and friendly service (thanks Steve!). Bought my new Brompton today and felt very well adviced by the staff - unlike in Evans bikes which is just around the corner and which I left after wasting 1 hour of my time.

Back in September 2015, I was unfortunate enough to get a puncture. As I was walking home down Great Portland Street I stumbled across a few guys sat chilling outside a bike shop called Velorution. The shop was closed but they didn't hesitate in helping me to the point of repairing the whole thing with a new inner tube and rim tape. I only had pay for the inner tube and they did this in their spare time at the drop of a hat!
Very nice staff and a very nice bike shop!

Bought my bike from here over a year ago. They've got a really nice, eclectic range of bikes, makes a pleasant change from the same-same range you get in most of the big chain shops. I got a Van Nicholas Ventus SE from there, really lovely bike. Enjoyed rising it a lot for a year, then had a problem with the frame. Velorution sorted a replacement for me (VN offer a lifetime warranty on the frame), and swapped over all my bits to the new frame (giving it a full service in the process) all for free. Cycled home, bike feels totally new. Good shop, great bikes, fantastic service. Thanks to Jay for looking after me. Andy

Just a great service, fantastic staff and honest sales people who know about what's going on in the world of bikes.
Have purchased bikes, had services and at every stage been impressed.
Nice to deal with people who care and are passionate about what they do.

Not bought any products or services but for sheer exclusivity value this place is worth a visit. Two floors of beautiful looking bikes and accessories that you won't find at the chains. Also the staff there clearly love what they do and were happy to chat about the bikes on a wet Sunday.

Since ownership and location have changed, the focus of the bike shop is different. No more kids' bike ! For people in West London I would recommend There cycling for quality bikes (including kids' stuff).

Unique selection of bikes and great service.
We wanted to get a bike for my daughter (6 year old) that she can use all year round (i.e. with mudguards) and in most shops only mountain bikes style stuff was available.
There we found a good selection of Puky bikes. The owner (Andrea) was really helpful and quite patient as we tried a couple of bikes. He had no problem to let us go out for a spin.
Finally the price was quite ok, at least in regard to the quality and level of equipment of the bike.
One thing we really like is that the bike has lights and a dynamo hub. That means no lights that she can forget or battery that ran out. As long as she doesn't forget to turn on the lights, she is visible.
We're quite happy with the bike as now we cycle to all her activities. Surprisingly enough her friends also do like the bike (I thought that the mudguards/rack stuff would put them off).

It’s a great-looking place, sparsely decorated and with some of the prettiest bikes I’ve ever seen. The downside is that everything seemed pretty pricey – there weren’t many budget options for items I wouldn’t want to spend loads on – and the guy I spoke to wasn’t all that friendly. Still, good to know there’s somewhere in Central London to go to if I ever need something fixed.

I happened to find the Velorution store by accident - and I'm sure glad I did.
What I like at Velorution is their impeccable service. The guy who manages (perhaps owns?) the store is passionate about bikes. The advice I receive has always been first class, and the guys (and gals) downstairs have always been friendly and keen to assist.
The only negative point I can raise is that sometimes they do not repair your bike and have it ready for pick-up the same day (I love my bike and hate not having it). This is, however, obviously the same at most places.
Velorution is the only workshop I trust with my bike.

For all manner of two-wheeled delights. I bought a bike from these guys over 5 years ago and returned today to look at a folding bike for the commute. After several test rides around Oxford Circus I ended up riding away with a fabulous Strida. Great shop, very knowledgable staff and one of the finest collections of off-centre bikes in the UK.

I've bought a couple of bikes here and the service is really good.

I used their services today for a small repair on my electric cargo bike and the staff was really helpful. I would like to thank them for their help and I will surely go back there when needed.
Cheers!

It's a shame about some of the very old negative reviews here - it's under new ownership since then. I've been in three times and bought a bike with my wife and have had great service every time.

Great Independent Bike shop with some great brands. Just bought a belt drive which is outstanding! Steve was very helpful and very Knowledgeable, I strongly recommend purchasing a bike here for a city commute!!

Amazing trendy bikes, and unique items for bikers, such as foldable helmets. A must go for anyone commuting by bike; I'm puzzled to discover this shop only now!

Had a very positive experience getting a service for my ageing steed, excellent workmanship and communication from the friendly mechanic, and surprisingly good value. Will definitely use again for my servicing needs.

Excellent service and selection, very knowledgeable and took time to give thorough advice regarding my specific needs. Would recommend.

I'm surprised by the comments below about customer service - just bought a bike there and Zulfi's service was so good that it prompts me now to write my first google review... enthusiastic, knowledgeable and eager to help at all times.

Fantastic quirky 🚲 shop stocking some very unusual 🚲's & you can even grab a decent ☕️ while browsing😜

A fine selection of bikes, particularly folding and city bikes, foot-bikes, all the favourite brands. Staff are friendly and knowledgable - 5 stars!

2014 -15 i have bought a bike , taken others for servicing and bought other products from them .. found them always to be helpful, kind and curtious and pretty fun if you hang around and talk to them, people can only try , i have experienced nothing negative worthy of comment ... will continue to use them , apparently making a coffee stall for us bike riding folk.. can only be a good thing ...
o any one interested in a decent electric bike with a retro minimalistic fixie look .. can recommend a momentum upstart ... had one for a year almost ... no problems so far

Great curation of high quality products for city fashion focused cyclists. Amazingly well trained and attentive staff.

Quality of stock and merchandising is very good but the customer service couldn't be more pretentious, just ruined the whole experience.

Arrived in a panic with a train ticket and glass in back wheel. Despite being busy they fixed me in the spot and were exceedingly helpful and understanding.

Looking for a tricked-out (i.e. 'Advanced Projects') Mission Workshop pack in London, this store is your best bet!

I love this shop. They have had some changes recently but the feel of the shop has remained - friendly staff and nice (quirky) range
P. D. P.
Pretty bad attitude and only offer servicing on the bikes they sell
T. C.
Great service - needed axle mending; done on the day at a modest cost. Thanks, Guys!

Why can't every bike shop be like this!! Never seize to be amazed!

I don't normally post reviews but these guys were so helpful, thoughtful and informed I felt compelled to write. Thank you!
