Solved a mechanical problem on the spot, allowing me to continue working as a courier on my bike rather than booking in for a service. Nice bike shop and staff but ordered my son's bike for Xmas and it never arrived until the 15th of Jan . I did expect something in good will even something for the bike but never got nothing so when you want a bike for Xmas think about this.

Excellent customer and bike service at the Byker store. Good chat with tech staff who gave sound advice and had a bit of banter as well. The work the lads did on the bike was spot on, new weels, new disc rotors, break pads, bled breaks. Did a decent discount for the package and had it done a day earlier than scheduled collection. Couldn't have asked for anymore. I've used other bike shops in recent times but I'll be going out of my way to use CJ when needed in future.

The service I received here was top drawer! I spent hours getting the support I needed and nothing was too much bother. I cant recommend them enough! DO NOT buy elsewhere or online. This place actually worked out considerably cheaper overall once I took advantage of a few deals when buying a bike and all the trimmings. The manger was first class. Cheers CJPC!!!

Amazing service! I live in Perth Western Australia and couldn't find the bike I was looking for anywhere in Australia. I found CJ Performance Cycles online who stocked the bike, however, they didn't offer international shipping on the website. I asked if they would allow me to purchase the bike from them and arrange my own courier and they were more than happy to help. They sent me all dimensions, weight etc to assist me with all the information needed for the DHL to collect the bike. Once I had arranged the courier, Stephen notified me of its departure and he was as helpful at the end as he was at the very beginning. I just can't fault the service this company provides. Thank you for all your help and my son loves his little bike!

Fantastic service at the Newcastle branch, I wanted a new road bike and after talking to and receiving great advice from Sophia I settled on a Giant TCR. They even had one in my size in stock, which a lot of cycle shops don't have. The workshop gave it a PDI, fitting pedals and accessories while I waited. Really friendly atmosphere and a great team, CJ's will now be my go to shop and I would definitely recommend.

I rang CJ Performance Cycles with a very specific bike request, which wasn't helped by the fact I'd made a mistake on my Cycle to Work scheme application. Not only were the staff extremely helpful, but they made sure I had the bike within three working days! As a comparison, when I previously ordered a bike from a large chain, I had to wait three months for the bike, and it was impossible to actually talk to anyone! I cannot recommend CJ Performance Cycles enough

Great service from CJ Performance Cycles and really pleased with the bike! I ordered online because we live down south. The bike came within a few days, well packed, protected and basically fully assembled. All I had to do was fit the pedals and straighten the handlebars. Amazing service! I needed a bike rack adaptor inside 5 days but no one could guarantee delivery. Called CJ Performance and got straight through to Stephen in their Newcastle office. He thought it would be no problem so I ordered online. I sent him a quick email to confirm done, he replied immediately saying it was all ordered and it arrived midday on day 4 (notified 1 hour delivery window with DPD). Helped me out of a spot. Will definitely use again and would highly recommend.

Stephen @ CJ Performance Cycles has been a real delight to deal with. I purchased a Giant bike from here back in June. I knew the exact bike I wanted and, the giant website was showing the last medium frame in the country was located here. I am located in the midlands so I called the store to confirm they had the bike in stock (after a horrible experience I had with a different bike chain a few days prior) and if they would send it out to me, which they confirmed. 20 mins after placing my order I got a call from Stephen to confirm he had received the order and not to stress as it was being handled and would be sent out to me ASAP. Unfortunately 2 weeks after promptly receiving my bike the frame had cracked, and as per the Giant warranty rules I took it to my nearest Giant store. 14 weeks later I still had not received my bike back from Giant, I made a call to Stephen at CJ Performance and told him about the horrible experience I had been having with Giant, 1 week later Stephen had got me a full refund and resolved the matter for me, without even an ounce of stress. When it comes to buying my next bike I will defo be buying from here again! Thanks Stephen!

I managed to lose one of the rubber fill covers on a hydration system last Saturday while out on a test ride one week before my only race of the year (don't ask) rendering it useless. I contacted CJ Performance Cycles on Saturday and they promised to do their best to get me a replacement in time but it would need to come from the manufacturer so they couldn't guarantee anything. I placed the order within minutes, the item was ordered immediately by CJ, was delivered to them Tuesday, turned around the same day and dispatched to me by courier. They then phoned me to let me know it was on its way and it arrived with me today at the other end of the country. Absolute life savers and worthy of more than five stars for customer service for a £2.99 item (although i bought two to cover any repeat incidents). Thanks guys, simply brilliant.

This bike store I visited had friendly staff who were very helpful and replaced my bearings from taking old ones out putting new ones in and did the job perfectly. Never used this bike shop before but will pass on my experience using word of mouth with the mountain bike community. Giant vt 2 owner (2003 model) and the side linkage needed replacement bearings. Can recommend this bike shop!

At last bike shop who are friendly, welcoming, and experts at what they do. Great independent shop and easy to get to in the Byker area. They have so far fitted a new bigger 11-40 cassette to my road bike (was 11-30) with a Shimano GRX rear mech when other places including Evans said it couldn't be done! Ive had a mountain bike in for new rear hanger replacement also. My experience so far is that CJ Performance in Newcastle is my very very strong recommendation to use as your go to bike maintenance/repair place. Very friendly and hugely knowledgable with great advice also. They are Shimano certified so what they don't know about group sets/drive trains probably isn't worth knowing. Great guys and I will certainly be using them from now on.

My rear axle bearings were wearing out. They provided sensible non-condescending advice on whether I should replace the bearings, the hub or get a new wheel. There was zero sales pressure. I ended up getting a new wheelset that they were happy to fit within an hour but I only wanted for the next day. The fitted the new wheels and advised on how I can keep the old set as spares by replacing the bearings. Fantastic service most importantly no condescending up-selling or bike snobbery. I will always go back there.

Many thanks to Ben Reeve who's always been quick to solve my bike issues, often at short notice. The fact that they carry just about every single last bit of Shimano gear means that you're not waiting for external deliveries before your bike work can proceed. Called in today for my new rear axle that they ordered for me it didn’t have the right fittings so the guy took the parts from my old one and put it together and fitted it also sorted out my chain and my clanging disc brake there and then these guys are great good service reasonable prices and very professional staff
