I was recommended this bike shop by a good friend. I also looked at the reviews.... All glowing and positive. So better late than never.... I rang first... To be told yes just drop yr bike and it'll go in the queue.... I took my bike on the Friday and had txt Monday morning at 11am to say All done ready for collection. Speedy service. Good price. And tbh would rather give the business to Perfect Balance than the likes of Halfords.... Thank you Perfect Balance Cycles..... Now enjoying bikes rides with my son.

I have been meaning to review perfect balance for a while. The guy who runs this bike store is a clear enthusiast who knows what he's doing and doesn't overcharge you too. No you don't have a flashy showroom of new bikes in his store. But you will have your bike repaired and maintained to great standards, at a great price with a quick turnaround. I made the mistake of giving another bike store a try as I had moved jobs and wont be making that mistake again.

I moved locally a few years ago & since finding Perfect Balance would not go anywhere else! Keith is superb & offers superb value compared to the other bike shops I used to use! If you need your bike repaired or serviced come here. You'll get truely honest advice & service.

He's a great chap. I bought a bike through Keith via a cycle to work scheme. I had around £50 in credit left over but didn't know what else to have so I said I'd be back and we'd sort it then. 18 months later my lad needed a few repairs to his bike and Keith said that the parts and labour came to around £50. My lad went to pay and Keith just said - "I owe your Dad something around that amount so tell him it's sorted" I had completely forgotten about it. I was so amazed that Keith had remembered, my lad was chuffed to bits and I was down £50 by my own lad!!! If it's honesty and great service you want then don't go anywhere else.

Keith is knowledgable and helpful. You don't get service like this from big business. Any work I need carried out on any of my bikes, from a small service if I don't have time, or more complicated jobs like gear conversions, will continue to be taken care of by Perfect Balance. You just can't beat a local bike shop run by a bike enthusiast. And this one is as good as I've ever found.

The owner of the shop is a true expert in bike mechanics. I walked in there in the after, about an hour before the shop shuts.. I enquried about the issue with my bike. The owner replies "when would you like it sorted by?" I reply, "this afternoon would be great". Out of nowhere he agrees the bike will be fixed and ready to pick up this afternoon just before 3:30pm. I walk in the store with minutes to spare before the shop shuts to find my bike sat in a stand all sorted and ready to be collected. The owner explains what he has done to fix my bicycle, I pay him for the price of the parts and a small labour fee and walk out the door within five minutes of being stood in his store. No nonsense, quick service and great prices. I couldn't ask for anything better, his service is beyond comparison to any other Southampton bicycle repair shop.

My mountain bike needed a full service,i phoned Hargrooves in Totton I asked if i could talk to a bike mechanic,the sales assistant on the phone said he will answer any queries.I wasn't happy with this as my questions were quite technical i would of liked talking to a bike mechanic because my questions were technical regarding full suspension service. The assistant who was not allowing me to talk to a bike mechanic he also didn't know anything about bike suspension he wasn't qualified or experienced enough to answer any of my questions. I was not happy with the telephone conversation with him at all.I then phoned Keith at Perfect Balance Cycles. The phone conversation with him was totally different he was very polite very helpful and very patient in talking with me,his price for a full service was a'lot less then half what Hargrooves charge. The work Keith did was amazing he made my bike like brand new again and he did this within 2 days as i was in a queue. Anyone wanting work done on their bike would be wise to go to Perfect Balance Cycles in my opinion. Keith is the best, a true expert an elite when it comes to bike repairs. Keith treats every customer in a way like if it were him wanting bike repair's and walking into a repair shop he treats you like how he would like to be treated in reference to customer service skills he is 100% the best person to see if you want bike repairs or help in any bike issues. I've worked in retail for 30 years I've worked in 20 different retail shops' in my experience you can not get better service from anyone else. Keith is the best person to see. Perfect balance is a small business but it's fact the bigger shops are not always where you would get 100% Excellent Customer Service. Well done Keith for making me happy and servicing my bike to the highest standards,and talking to me on the phone very politely very patiently and with interest.Thanks for doing the full service in an amazing speedy time frame. 5 stars to Perfect Balance Cycles Totton

This is now the only place I want to take my bike to be serviced. Not sure if I've been unlucky but have had a fair amount of bad service from bike shops over the years. Perfect Balance Cycles has always been brilliant in it's service and value for money.

Very fast, quality, no nonsense service. Needed hydraulic brakes topped up - did it with only 30 mins notice, and once I got there - did it whilst I waited. It took 5 mins. Good value for money. Other places wanted bike left for 24 hours, and were predicting potential requirement for new brake system etc (mine is OLD). I suspect that they might have found extra unnecessary and expensive work - only a suspicion, but something that you do not need to worry about at this place. Highly recommend.
