Met Nick who was lovely and sorted out an order for me ahead of time. Meat quality looks very good, all locally sourced. Looking forward to trying the British wagyu steaks when I get the excuse to buy some!
N. A.I really love meat. And I’ve loved all the meat I’ve bought from here. Wagyu steaks were worth the extra, delicious ribeyes too, excellent burgers, sausages, goat and rabbit. In the deli section you’ll find among other delights lovely lamb samosas and scotch eggs with runny yolks!
B. H.Visited Hen and Boar last Saturday to buy a steak for the weekend. They have a fabulous selection of steaks and I opted for the Rib Eye and the Butcher cut it to the thickness that I wanted, then vacuum packed it in a waxed paper bag to keep it fresh which I hadn't seen before. Cooked the Rib Eye on Saturday night and it tasted great, one of the best steaks I have ever had. Highly recommend this place, much better than pre packed meat from a supermarket. The staff were super friendly and helpful and the place looks very modern and clean. Highly recommend
M. P.A modern butcher on Henleaze high street - a welcome addition amongst the local deli, greengrocers and bakery. Great selection of meats and some nice condiments on offer too. The service is very good and the butchers are extremely knowledgeable and able to advise on quantities and cooking times. Highly recommend.
J. J. D.A wonderful new addition to Bristols food suppliers! Nick really knows his onions when it comes to meat, service and quality second to none. Handmade sausages and koftas delicious, treacle and ale smoked bacon amazing, and though we didn't try them this time there's a fantastic selection of interesting pies. The dog is very pleased with his proper bone as well!
