Reviews of Blairmains Farm Shop
A. U. (. r.
As you arrive at Blairmains farmhouse you are guided firstly into the furniture shop of the store with tables and chairs that I could only ever dream of owning.
The whole place is very well presented and perhaps due to the low roofs when ypu arrive in the cafe it can appear to be rather loud.
We were seated quickly but having been here once before it does.get very busy. To avoid disappointment I would reccomend booking a table. My friend and I opted for a breakfast each. I had a the full scottish and he had the Vegan breakfast. There were no complaint about the Vegan breakfast and the scottish breakfast was delicious but I just wasn't a fan of the Bacon.
2 meals and 4 drinks came to roughly £35. A wee bit pricey but definitely value for money.
They have a fantastic map in the shop showing you where all the produce they have in the shop and cafe has come from. Well worth a look.
On leaving you can make more purchases in the shop which has lots worth taking a look through.

Very clean throughout. Lovely friendly Staff. Only 6 mins drive from Stirling University, makes a few hours seem like a day out in the Countryside, with amazing views & very close to all amenities.

The farm shop has recently expanded. There is now a larger area devoted to furniture and a larger food section. We we looking for edibles. A nice and varied range of produce of better than supermarket quality with an emphasis on the local. (Lots of ready-made meals too but we haven't tried them.) The shop is worth your while if passing under the Ochils. Lovely scenery's a bonus.
V. M. (.
Nice Farm Shop, they have a decent furniture section now (not the cheap and nasty stuff), frozen food section as well with quite a decent variety of products and fresh produce too (meats and fruit&veg) and two coffee shops within (one is the Coffee Bothy) great food, and don't forget the cake's, especially the Banoffee pie and the Strawberry Cream Roulade, Coffee☕ is nice as well (Brodies of Edinburgh).
Lastly the landscape surrounding the Bothy is great too. After the cake's you could go up the Hills for a ganter.

I was impressed by this place. Great brunch and not all expensive. The staff were friendly and helpful too.
There’s a good shop attached with lovely looking food to buy although I didn’t buy anything on this visit. There are actually two cafes / restaurants which I found a little con two fusing. It seems they’re two separate businesses

Very impressed this morning when we visited for breakfast. Lovely view of the Ochill mountains. Not that far from the Wallace Monument. From the outside I was impressed by the wooden carving of a wolf and eagles. It was fantastic. We went to the coffee bothy for breakfast. Food was fantastic and reasonably priced. I had a milkshake and felt like a kid drinking it out of a glass milk bottle. Its little things like that that make a place stand out and be remembered!! The farm shop itself was lovely. There are some fantastic pictures for sale and local meat. The staff were friendly. It was very clean and smelled fresh. I would definitely go back there again. Even loved the cow on top of the roof!!
C. R.
Nice, interesting stuff in shop, but a bit too busy for getting food. Probably wouldn't go again as it is a fair distance for me and getting a seat for a snack a bit of a lottery.
E. J.
Seated straight away. Order taken after we had a few minutes to check the menu. The staff are fantastic . So helpful and friendly. Ellis Jones
S. B.
Lovely atmosphere and great food. We had a tiny visitor while having lunch too!
J. M.
Great to get into car park, hard to find a table. Good food, good service and good food. I visited at 11am on a Tuesday. X
D. G.
Good food, great stuff. Love the view.
S. C.
Good for coffee/Tea for a quick snack or they have a good range of homemade food on offer, weekends can get fairly busy though. Also have shop that sells a range of local produce & a range of furniture & gifts.
R. J.
Amazing produce and gifts range . The food in both the bothy express and the restaurant are great quality and worth the price
s. o.
Good selection of produce, lovely looking cafe, clean toilets and excellent car park
A. G.
Family run and very friendly business. Best in the area for a hot filled roll - we go every week..
V. H.
Sometimes you need to take a buzzer and have a look around the shop before eating. That is not a problem, as all those people can't be wrong, the service is great and the food delicious.
M. D.
Excellent. Lovely food and lovely people.
F. B.
This is a must. Stubbled apon this place whilst out cycling. Food excellent. Fresh cream cakes and coffee not to be missed. Superb will def be back. Thank you!
L. F.
Blairmains is a lovely farm shop with a great selection of food, drink and home goodies. They also have a lovely cafe and the food is delicious. We also get our christmas veg from here every year and it is always fresh and tastes wonderful!
J. W.
We went for lunch as our youngest daughter was through for a visit. What brilliant meals we had, the food is first class, it was piping hot & cooked perfectly. Staff were very friendly & helpful. It was our first time here even although we've stayed in Stirling for over 12yrs. Will definitely be back.
A. P.
Elegant presentation, tasty nutritious menu, first class customer service, combined with eclectic delicatessen and farm shop with everything from books to furniture. Great day, thank you 😊
J. D.
Brilliant breakfast in the cafe and a farm shop with locally produced food/furniture etc!
Y. (.
Tucked away from the main road, it could easily be missed. But what a shame to miss this place!!! First of all, some home furnitures were so gorgeous. Second of all, the price was so reasonable. And thirdly, people are amazing and so helpful. In the end, I went back to get some Harris Tweed products there (like the bag for my mum's Christmas presents 🎁). Highly recommend this place.
K. C.
Lovely place. Nice farm shop with Scottish fairs from all over Scotland (see the map on wall). Lovely tea rooms. Highly recommended. Easy to find with sat nav (as we came from out of the area)
L. l.
Visited the coffee shop today. We ordered sandwiches which took ages to come but were lovely.Quite expensive.Coffees and tea didn't arrive until we had finished our sandwiches and the coffees which were lattes had to be sent back as only half full.Ordered strawberry tarts which were made on the spot which were absolutely delicious.
Overall the food etc was good and staff pleasant but time delays and the coffee situation was disappointing. We have been here many times and not had these issues previously.
C. W.
What a lovely place cafe was superb really nice friendly staff good prices will be back.
E. W.
Coffee Bothy and shop are lovely. The food is really nice and service very good and pleasant. The farm shop has lots of interesting things and beautiful furniture.
D. C.
We had a wonderful lunch here today (Lamb curry highly recommended). The restaurant food was appetising and warm with good sized portions and service staff were pleasant, friendly and attentive.
J. L.
Friendly, good food. Not cheap. Beautiful view.
S. M.
I really love farmshops. This is by far the best I've been to. Lovely furniture, very good food and lots and lots of nice things. Had to leave soon otherwise would have spent far too much money. Will be there again every time when we are near by.
D. F.
Went in for breakfast before driving home. Vegan breakfast was awesome. Good quality vegan sausage and haggis plus all the trimmings beautifully cooked.
A.
A lovely lunch, nice staff a bit pricey but the food is good. Interesting gift and farm food shop, had a fair choice of food. Will be back.
r. c.
I always go here when i am at Stirling .nice ckffee shop anx lovely scones.
H. S.
We visited Blairmains farm shop today and had soup, coffee and a cake in this popular and busy spot. The soup was great and, as a dedicated scone-fancier, I can assure you I was not disappointed, though someone must explain to me why it always has to be strawberry jam?
Laura’s empire biscuit was likewise home-made and splendid.
The only down side is the noise level when busy. Bare walls and laminate flooring ensure that you can barely hear your own voice above the hum of happy conversation.
We will happily return but try to visit at a quieter time.
Parking, as has been mentioned, is first class.
P. T.
Sometimes a bit pricy, good for gifts.
C. B.
Had lunch today which was mostly lovely. Coffee great, platter great, cake great but soup was average. Decent portion but please don't sell it as pea and bacon soup when I'm then struggling to find the peas. Perhaps vegetable soup would have been more descriptive. However it won't put me off going back and I do plan to return. Lovely shop to wonder round after lunch.
d. b.
Best baking around its hard resisting that extra cake. Meals are pretty good too, especially the Shri Lankan curry. Friendly and super clean. Highly recommended.
T. J.
Really great food and produce.
E. G.
Our of the way, hidden gem. Delicious food, good choice and exelent service
s. M.
We had a lovely breakfast in the cafe, real quality ingredients used for the rolls, staff are very friendly and chatty. Great atmosphere in the place and has a lot of regular customers. Attached is a shop selling fantastic food. They also sold oak furniture and we even found the perfect tv stand that we had been hunting for. It was delivered by the owner that very same day. Such good service that we ended up going back two days later and purchased a matching unit.
Would highly recommend you pay it a visit.
E. M.
Excellent food and very helpful and friendly staff. Popped in for a quick lunch with my daughter.
C. G.
Always has lovely and unusual foods and gives. Also sells my mum's favourite whisky. Deanston's
S. G.
Always worth a visit on the way home from Stirling. Good for coffee and great frozen desert selection.
S. M.
Best in area, all food high standard.staff the best.
T. W.
We had a pleasant experience in the cafe; the vegetable and chicken soup was particularly good. Friendly staff, with a good selection on the menu. The farm shop sell some nice products, so well worth a visit.
B. W.
I visited here last week and will definitely be visiting regularly. The free range eggs from here are the best I've ever had! They also do a great range of fresh fruit and veg, lots of borders biscuits, loose leaf tea and also have a gluten free section. I found the whole place very reasonably priced and I was told the cafe also does gluten free cakes. Staff were also lovely and friendly, this place is a hidden gem!
S. B.
Great farm shop. Enjoyed a good coffee and bought some excellent free range eggs
A. M.
Malteser slice !!! Wooooow great treats. So many yummy choices, and felt safe and very clean. So this place has furniture, fresh and frozen groceries, pantry, dairy, pastries!! And gifts. Great place for treats.
t.
Hidden, local gem. Go here regularly for lunch and the food is fantastic. It's basic, honest food done really well, with quality, fresh and local ingredients. Would be one of the first places I'd recommend to someone visiting the area.
J. V.
Ample parking, very friendly and helpful staff with a lovely atmosphere inside the restaurant.
Good food and reasonable prices.
S. M.
Absolutely brilliant place to go for coffee and eating love it and recommend highly.
S. L.
It's a very nice place to have a coffee but there is food menu available. Has a shop in the same building for many things. Road in is single track but it has a substantial car park.
D. M.
Lovely farm shop in a fantastic setting. I treated my family to a gorgeous lunch in the attached restaurant, which was second to none, and bought a variety of produce from the shop. This included haggis, lasagne and tablet. All of a very high quality. Unfortunately my sister had to have the haggis as I travelled back home and left it in her fridge!
E. S.
Fabulous location great food homemade varied menu, very reasonable prices. Can't wait to go back
A. B.
A nice walk there, great coffee to go and a plesant walk home.
J. W.
Good food, good staff tremendous
S. K.
Went for breakfast, very disappointed. Husband asked for a breakfast bap and all he got was an egg in a roll, even though menu said various things in roll . Very expensive egg roll. £3.30.
C. S.
It was great we had coffee and l had scrambled eggs and avocado, sunblush tomatoes and bacon. My husband had a ham pickle salad sandwich. He said it was lovely. Would definitely recommend.
B. C.
Not particularly dog friendly which lets it down.
S. F.
If you are in the area then this is very much recommended. I wish I could make soup and bread as good as this. I've tried... really nice service, and you won't have to call the bank manager to pay the bill. Stunning views from the windows. Walkable from Stirling University or they have an ample car park. The farm shop, the same building is well worth a look, a room to the side with solid and beautiful furniture, pictures too. No negatives only huge positives. :-)
p. h.
Delicious high quality local produce and home cooked foods. Lovely people. Amazing views!!
What more do you need?
A. M.
As always the coffee bothy food is fantastic. Really well set up for the whole social distancing bit as well. Great to have you open again. 👍 👍
m. c.
What a great find . Plenty of tables and parking spaces available so there was no waiting. Wonderful food and a great farm shop to roam about in.
G. L.
Good food at better prices than most. Good service
M. L.
Lovely home made cooking and an interesting shop selling a variety of local produce including wine and art. Very clean with a large car park and fantastic view of the hills.
R. P.
Very nice cheese sandwich, pity they use grated cheese and not sliced from a block.
F. R.
Great place to eat. Be prepared for a wait, given an electronic device to alert you of a table whilst browsing the farm and furniture shops.
C. R.
The Coffee Bothy is often busy but was fine at lunchtime today. I had the Mediterranean Platter, my husband had the Ploughmans and we both thoroughly enjoyed our food.
J. K.
As a place to shop it has a great variety of food and drinks to choose from, we buy Subzi pakora in all its varieties out of their freezer. The sticky toffee cake is hard to resist as are the other bakery products that are made on site. You can buy their beef too. Fresh vegetables are a treat and plenty of stuff usually found in a deli. Cafe and restaurant are always busy because of the home made food.
S. M.
Good farm shop has usual selection of farm produce. Even some ready meals. Has a selection of cakes, greetings cards and wooden furniture. Bit of an unusual mixture maybe. But all seems to be good quality.
B.
Food and drink is always excellent.
I regularly attend blairmains and the staff always go the extra mile, especially for older customers.

Great farmshop/ restaurant in Blairlogie area of Stirling. John and Elma are very warm and welcoming , well stocked with fresh and frozen food also some beautiful furniture, and fabulous restaurant for a quick coffee and cake or a full 3 course meal. The building is a converted dairy farm with full disabled access throughout the building. A must visit if you are looking for that special present or special Christmas supprise snack or Turkey. 😀😀😀😀

Not really a farm shop, but then most 'farm shops' aren't these days. What it does sell seems ok, and it has a decent view of the ochils outside to look at while drinking a coffee.
