We'd heard good things about Collins so bought a couple of large bbq boxes for a birthday celebration. Quality was excellent. Nice variety too so all (carnivorous) tastes catered for. The bbq bangers were a revelation. Very tasty!

A great Scottish butcher that delivers all over the UK. Easy to use website with a great selection of Scottish favourites. Well packaged and iced food. Nice to fill your freezer for some Scottish favourites when you are craving some home food (i’m London based)

I have been to this butchers twice and have had no problems getting served, I was in last week with my wife and was served by Dotti who bent over backwards to please us, her knowledge of the products was 1st class. The shop is immaculate, well stocked and well run by a 1st class team. I would highly recommend S. Collins & Son and will definately be back, keep up the good work team collins👍.

Items could've been better packaged. Bought Scotch pies, square sausage, sausage rolls black pudding, potato scones, etc. But when they arrived couple of the pies where squashed and the sausage rolls had come out there packaging, flakes of pastry all over the place. Sent an email to the butchers but the silence has been deafening. Will I use them for an online delivery again? There produce is top notch but there customer service could do better.

Best butcher in the district. The place is always busy with people queuing up. Top quality meat products fresh fish and veg. Lots of choice on offer. There is a wait but the service is good and the staff will tell you about any deals and offers available. Can seem pricey compared to other outlets but you are paying for quality and service.

I've got to be honest; I'm not the one that goes in. I place my order with my mother, tag it on to her order and get my butcher meat that one. This place is a cut above the rest, and honestly, the steak pies are the best I have ever tasted. You only need to see the queue outside to see how popular this place is...but don't be put off by that. You will love the choice and quality they sell.

We arrived and there was no queue and we were straight in, but it does get busy. The food is great, we’ve had steaks, burgers, mince, steak bakes, garlic chicken the lot, it’s the proverbial “sweetie shop” if you like meats. Go with a list or you’ll get distracted by the goodies!

Got my order delivery yesterday and I was delighted with the way it was hand packed by Catherine. Everything was neatly packaged and wrapped and I had everything I asked for. Great butchers shop. Some great deals to be had on special offers and family packs. They make all their own sausages, juicy burgers, kebabs and freshly baked products. They also sell fresh fish, have specially selected meat and BBQ packs, as well as a slimming and ready to cook range. Well worth a visit.

It is just impossible to find fault with S. Collins & Son whether it be quality, customer service or delivery. Every single time we order from them the delivery arrives as expected, when we go direct to the shop the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful, and O have never had a product from them that I wasn't over the moon with. Found this place on Google and had no idea what it would be like before turning up. The choice was absolutely outstanding and all the meat looked so fresh and healthy. The girl who served me was really lovely, helpful and chatty. It seemed like a very professional, well organised operation. I'd also called up beforehand to pre-order some chicken breast, which was an easy process. Ended up buying loads of extra stuff because it all looked so nice. I went to collect a pre-order and service was excellent. I was served by a very happy welcoming and polite assistant. Debbie. But what sold it for me was an old man lossed his glove. She came from behind the counter and patiently helped him look for it ..now thats customer service in a world that has no patience for its elders..id go back just for that kinda service ..credit to the shop Debbie

Pretty good , I placed my order online having never used these butchers so order included an array of around 30 products . I will say there range and variety of products is probably up there with the biggest and best iv seen , a big plus there . Packaging was ok the turkey mince I ordered leaked everywhere so I would recommend they vacuum pack (it was in a white paper bag ) but I do live down in Kent so not majorly bothered about that . Cards and rosemary a nice touch . The quality of produce is pretty good up there with the higher end of the market sadly thou I feel the prices are just too high on some things that I felt disappointed . For example there beef wellington at 8.48 looked like it had 3 oz of steak in it I would never order again and wished I had not . On the flip side things like the Persian market chicken and ultimate burger were exquisite and left me feeling satisfied and at around 2 pound each a fair price . I will use agAin at some point sadly the price point is a bit high but the deals they do help . I order once a month from online butchers and have tried many around the U.K. that offer nationwide delivery and in terms of variety of items s. Collins are probably a 1 . In terms of quality easily in the top 10 and to be fair in terms of average price there not the most exspensive. I’d recommend giving these a go thou there delivery cost of 10 pound even if I’m spending 80 pound seems high . There are other Scottish butchers that do nationwide delivery for free when you spend 40 pound .

A fantastic, modern butchers with great staff. It’s always very busy but they are well prepared for it. The only thing I’ve not liked is their meatballs in sauce. The sauce is super weird.Everything else is spot on. Usually I stick to the unprepared foods anyway. Honestly it is a bit pricy too, but probably worth it.

I Asked for shoulder steak for steak pie and instead was given the mixed stewing steak. This butcher seems to tell you what you want rather than giving you what you asked for. The meat was cooked for over 4 hrs and was still dry and chewy. I normally buy shoulder steak and without fail after 2.5 hrs it melts in the mouth. I specifically asked for shoulder steak and instead they gave me cheaper meat they obviously had to get rid of. Ive also asked them to mince me some rib eye for burgers and was told that the mince they had was better. My point is, give the customer what they ask for. In the interest of fairness there sausages and breakfast meats are amazing. If it wasn't for that it would be 1 star.

Bought the steak pie from Scotmid Collins butchers it stated feeds 3 to 4 so was a bit worried there wouldn’t be enough.It fed 4 comfortably and although it was £9.50 it was worth every penny it was full of great quality meat the crust was beautiful will buy it again
