On a recent holiday to the area, we visited Ballater and headed straight for their butchers. No wonder this fantastic place was used by the Queen!!! What a fantastic array of fresh and high quality produce. It was a joy browsing round the shop and to decide on several items to choose from. Everything was so beautifully laid out and presented. So much care and attention taken by the owners/people who run the butcher. Staff were very jolly and friendly too. I highly recommend the pork and haggis link sausages - YUM, they were super delicious and cooked up beautifully with hardly a bit of fat coming out of them. Crispy skin outside and soft melty, juicy meat inside. We also had the plain traditional port link sausage which was bursting with flavour too - just as lovely as the haggis sausages. We also chose the haggis, cheese and beef burgers. They were MEGA meaty and of really high quality too. Very filling indeed. We will no doubt return to Ballater in the near future and I will be stocking up with lots of their wonderful produce from Sheridans and filling my freezer right up next time!

Excellent products beautifully presented. All the meat we bought for our BBQ was Very tasty indeed. Especially the hand made very thick beef burgers. We also bought two tasty relishes as well as some super ice cream. All products were local and traceable. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Ballater for a week and used this Butcher everyday, we even went in on our last day and took loads home with us. The Raging bull burgers in my opinion are best and the peppered kebabs. You will not not be disappointed

Used for the first time yesterday. Brought a barbecue pack from them. The staff were friendly and helpful the shop was very clean and well laid out. As for the barbecue pack, this was the nicest meat I have ever barbecued, it was so tender and the marinades were extremely tasty, the coleslaw was fresh and creamy. I found the whole pack very good value. When ever we have guests from now on and the sun is shining, I will be buying more of these. Sheridan's will be our go to butchers for all of our meat from now on!!

Can’t speak highly enough of this amazing butcher! We’re in Ballater for the week and ventured into HM Sheridan’s for some ideas for dinner, we left fully armed with the most amazing burgers, sausages and haggis stuffed chicken breast. Dinner for the last few nights has not disappointed, the meat has been incredible! We also grabbed the prawn salad today for lunch and it was awesome. If you are in Ballater and looking for some great, fresh and exciting twists on some classics then stop by. We’re planning on stocking up before we head home too!

Popped in for a bacon sandwich, whilst waiting I had time to look at all the delicious looking options. Fantastic range of meats (including venison), cuts and seasonings all at affordable prices. Unfortunately I wasn't going to be able to keep them cold so was unable to try. Bacon was fantastic though, only a shame that it came in a styrofoam box

Stopped by on a photography adventure for some energy, bought a bacon and cheeseburger. Service was quick and sanitary (during lockdown). The burger was gorgeous and not too greasy, totally fresh with good quality cheese (I know my cheese). Would recommend.

Look forward to my Scotland holiday each year and always go to Sheridan's. We run out of meals to have as they have a good variety of meats, burgers and sausages and we usually bring a few haggis home to. Sometimes order online too.

Don't go anywhere else for your haggis..!! They sell both clockwise and anti-clockwise varieties, so bought one of each on my last visit. They were very fidgety until I got them into the car, then that calmed down... (Seriously, they are awesome..!)

Ballater is the nearest little e town where I can go shopping 12 miles from where I live. Occasionally I go to Sheridans. Not very often, quality is ok but the service and the friendliness of their staff should be improved.

Wir haben für unser Abendessen im Wohnmobil 3 verschieden zubereitete Burger gekauft und alle waren hervorragend! Sehr gute Qualität und köstlich gewürzt. Würden wir in der Nähe leben, würden wir nur noch zu diesem Metzger gehen. (Translated) We bought 3 different burgers for our RV dinner and they were all outstanding! Very good quality and deliciously seasoned. If we lived nearby, we would only go to this butcher.
