S. M.The best butchers shop in Walthamstow bar none, selling everything from rabbit to fillet steak. They stock fresh and frozen produce across the board at reasonable prices. My dad has been a regular for over 40 years, when they laid sawdust on the floor, the neighbouring Rossi's ice cream shop was open and The Chequers was a real market traders' pub, rather than a boring Antic dive bar as it is today. I have been coming here most weeks since moving back to the area 12 years ago. Great staff and service.

The meat was tender cooked in no time at all and was lovely.
I was so surprised that I had to phone and tell the manager how good his meat was. And not expensive either.
Well done. That's why they have been buying from the same suppliers for over 30yrs!! he told me. Definitely buying my meat from there now. Worth the journey.

E. S.One of the last true butchers in Walthamstow, and an absolute godsend for anyone who cooks seriously.
There is nothing I've needed in years of cooking that I've failed to get here, from huge racks of beef ribs for proper barbecue, to obscure bits of offal for medieval dishes I've cooked at historical reenactments. They don't bat an eyelid.
Their meat is top-notch, much better than supermarket standard and a fair bit cheaper as well. They're also perfectly happy to cut, trim, mince and do whatever else you like with your purchase which is a great service, and a real time-saver.

P.I’ve been buying my meat from them for over 10 years, they are one of a kind butcher shop where you can find whatever you imagine in terms of FRESH MEAT, if you don’t find what you’re looking for in there (hardly to believe), ask any member of their team and they will happily and immediately order it for you, to come and collect it asap. When you’re talking about freshness and tasteful meat, they are the people you should look for all over east London. There is no chance that you’ll leave that shop unhappy for any reason, IF is not busy they chop, slice, mince, they give you friendly advices on how to cook, what is good and what’s not for your desired outcome. They got, on some products better prices even than Farington meat market. Starting from egs, rabbits, piglets (hog) chicken, duck, goose, turkey, lamb ...smoked or fresh...the list of all you can imagine they will have It there, and because lots of people’s know about them, they have significant sales (so the meat doesn’t remain in stock to get old) that’s the reason is so fresh every time. Now don’t think that I’m one of their staff leaving a good review for a pay rise. I’m just a happy customer that says thanks every time someone really deserves it. And they earn every single character of this review in 10 years time, since I’ve left their shop happy every time.
