Dropped in to pick up lunch. Even though it was rather early, there was a queue already. But it moved quick enough. Loved the Jerk Chicken Burger lunch deal (with roast potatoes). No wonder people were queuing up. Hope to be back soon to try some of their baguettes. EDIT: Their baguettes are fantastic as well. And very reasonably priced

Have been a regular over the years however the last few times I’ve been over the past month or two they have been quite stingy on the chicken in the baguettes. I can understand covid has had an impact and therefore prices had to go up, but the lack of chicken in the lunch baguette has been pretty disappointing.

The selection of cooked food well meat is amazing, it is definitely not for vegans or vegetarians. The ribs are my favourite follows by kebabs or sausages. They are very tasty and they can make a bag full of meat from 5 to 7 pounds or with roast potatoes etcetera. You really get value for money. Sometimes if you are regular they can be very generous. I have never left here thinking I don't have enough food. The lines used to stretch around the block but due to covid19 it's quick to be served. I love it here and if I lived and worked nearby I would probably drop by daily. Enjoy.

I used to love this place. A multi loyalty card holder. The full deal. I was such a huge fan and told everyone. The quality. The price. The honest to goodness feel. The not mucked about with-ness. Pricing. Corona has *not* been kind. So so sad. Returning to the city I find the bread poorer quality. The chicken poorer quality, less tasty. And, less of it. And, prices have gone up by 10%. The latter might be justified if the rest had stayed the same. (And my fave local sandwich shop has permanently closed too😏) The prices pre covid were £5 for hot chicken baguette. Now £5.50. Absolutely no question prices have increased.

Well I think this is a gold mine of a place for City folk because here you can fill your face with every flavour of meat on the planet here from Wagyu burgers to Carribean Chicken to Ribs and much more! My fav so far is the Philly Cheese Steak baguette, but I'm gonna commit to work my way through the entire food chain, yep all that starting from £4...

My wife and I visited as she said when she pass by there is always queue... We visited at Fridays around 2pm and not much selection left, we got the managers special Caribbean Chicken baguette and Ribs baguette, no sauce. Very tasty ribs, and the chicken a bit spiced, amount of filling is abundant! Recommended, looking forward to go next Friday

Like me, you'll probably find this place because you were following your nose. You see, not only do they sell some of the finest cuts of meat in the city, they also season and spice the meats on site too. They even sell it cooked, in sandwiches, baguettes or just boxed. Imagine the finest meat, with the best flavour you can imagine, I'm Caribbean, I know flavour, not put in your sandwich by the slice but by the handful, American deli style. Words cannot do this place justice, its pricey but worth every penny. Be prepared to queue if you visit, they do National delivery now which is very handy.

Open during lockdown and just what the remaining office workers need given almost everywhere else is shut. I usually have a pork and crackling baguette with onion and garlic mayo. But have had various types of lamb, philly cheese steak, jerk chicken, burgers etc. All of them good. At £5-6 just fantastic value. Keep bringing friends here. Always a queue around midday but worth the wait, and never too long (usually less than 5 minutes).

A great place to get lunch but you have to be quick and get there early! I arrived at 2pm but unfortunately they were sold out of most of the lunch food. Nevertheless the man behind the counter sorted me out with a sausage and hash brown baguette and also through in a few roast potatoes! The full lunch selection from the pictures looks great so I'll definitely be back.

I have been buying from Porterford due to the supply situation at my local supermarkets. I have really been enjoying the high quality meats, reasonable prices and quick delivery. I will keep buying my weekly meat shop from them even after the lock-down ends just because I have enjoyed the product so much! They also do a great selection of very reasonably priced and extremely tasty hot food at lunchtime if you can get to the end of the queue.

I've been using Porterfords for years now. Their pre-packed meat is only slightly more expensive than a supermarket but world's apart. The staff are friendly and helpful, and if you want something nice or special they will always help out. Spend a bit more and get a world more !

Meat heaven. Just had fantastic chicken on its own. Well marinated and will cooked. At peak time I queued for 8 minutes but it's worth the wait. It's also gives you time to look at extensive menu and the food awaiting for you. All the food at a great price.

They sell hot meat at lunchtime (with potatoes or in baguettes/burgers) which is the only food I bought from them. The food is good and cheap - you can have a decent lunch for about 5-6 pounds. Also, they have 4-5 people serving food, so you get your food pretty quick. There are quite long queues after 12:00, but it moves fast.

After visiting infrequently for the last 6 months here is my view: Local trader and not a chain name. They make amazing meaty food. Some products are double value for money. Wagyu burger is top on my list. What I didn't like: A good 15-20 minutes weekday queuing time anytime between 12-2pm. There is one staff who is already popular is other review for his rude customer service. Some products value don't add up. Two pieces of chicken on its own cost £3.50(Oct 2018) but when it goes into a baguette costs £5. So £1.50 for the bread and effort to stick it in. I still do visit occasionally. This place is a winner of you get the right product in short waiting time.

Far and away the best hot grab and go lunch in the city. Basically a meat heaven. They have everything from Wagyu burgers to Sausage and Black pudding baguettes. All are very reasonably priced at under £5 and served hot. There is a queue but it was only 5-10 minutes. Best 10minute queue and £5 lunch that I can remember. The Wagyu burger is truly delicious and will hold its own against some of the best burger joints in London.

The staff are exceptional at producing arguably the finest meat filled baguettes in London, or possibly the world. Not only that, but they offer scrumptious side pickings ranging from roast potatoes to 'the meatiest ribs in London' just to make sure no one goes hungry. Recommended for breakfast, lunchtime and dinner. You are simply missing out if you have not experienced Porterfords.
