A. W.Really good value, more variety would give them 5 stars. Price was really good and of course as good salesmen I was enticed to buy more and what I got (sirloin, belly pork and pack of 24 sausages) came in about 30% less than a major posh supermarket starting with W and was similar quality.

The service was great - Daniel got a fresh goose for us then froze it so we could take it to France a few days before Christmas. I think we often forget how good personalised service from specialists is compared to the very impersonal service and mass products from supermarkets. Definitely worth a visit ... and a purchase!
T. L.I used this Butcher for the first time for a large order as my ex neighbour and sadly now late great mate used to get his Meat from there. I had previously bought the odd bit here and there but decided that it was time to kick the Supermarket into touch and use a dying breed namely a Butcher.
I ordered a Chicken,wanted Mince Meat,Roast Beef and Pork Joints too.
What I got was first class value for money,was able to select lovely lean Beef of which there was no wastage and the Chicken was stripped bare. As for the Crackle on the Pork,to quote David Jason lubbly jubbly.
Stannards will be seeing me soon at Croydon Market and have already alerted 5 friends to pop by and see them at Croydon Market
