R.Love that this is the kind of place that proudly writes up things like the names of the farms their meat is sourced from on any given day, and the age of the chickens on a blackboard, which signals both that they are aware and care about how their meat is raised, and they want to help customers do the same.
If you do not have recent experience of buying high quality meat, and can afford to pay the higher prices relative to cheaper meats in supermarkets, try this. Try buying here and cooking the meat using very simple recipes, which leave the flavour of the meat intact rather than being overwhelmed by herbs and spices and sauces. What you will likely find is that the flavour is utterly different to that from supermarket sourced meat. It really has flavour, of its own.
Service here is fast and friendly. Hygiene practices appear robust. Love that they are sometimes playing Vengaboys songs whilst they work.

H. W.Good customer service! I called up to check closing times and spoke to a very helpful boy on the phone. When i arrived, i was in a long queue, so called and asked if they still had what I wanted as they were running out of stuff. Just shows how popular they are. The same young chap I spoke to on the phone came outside to let me know he still had rump steak left🤣 he knows who he is, I didn't catch his name.. they are a few things that make me happy, and one is excellent customer service!

It is a place where the home cook can get the highly educated advice they need for that special recipe. It's an excellent place for ordering turkey and goose at holidays. Pro tip: If it's not open when you're around, the Giddy Grocer on Bermondsey Street usually has a small inventory of products. They also have a good online delivery service.
N. e.Excellent service and fantastic quality meat! I love the lamb chops. The kids love the reduce salt pork sausages. I also thought the steak was great value and tasty. I ordered (x 1) rump and (x 1) flat iron steaks and one pack managed to feed the whole family (2 x adults and 2 x children). Mind you; we don't eat much meat.
