Fillet steak was nice, tender. Bought six sausages and they were appalling.Tasted of paper mache. Service was OK, but for a local butcher I would of expected a little more care for us newbies. Dont think ill be coming back. But hope ya improve your sausages for everyone else sake :)

Just recently moved to the area , as someone who grew up in the country I'm used to high quality meat , this really hit the spot . Listened on several customer conversations before mine and the guys definitely know their stuff . They have a decent range and nice accompaniments to go with such as sauces , eggs , etc . I got some sausages , rashers , pudding and eggs and thoroughly enjoyed it . I'll definitely be back again

It’s places like these that deserve a lot of praise, not only for their service but also because of the quality of their product. Every time we get produce from here it’s always top notch. I’m not going to post end product (dinner plates) until my playing skills get better 😁.

Brilliant butcher offering great selection of meat. Very friendly and helpful staff. Since a few years we're buying our meat almost exclusively here or from their stall on the Brockley market. Love their sustainable approach: they buy whole animal carcasses and are using every piece of it. And we've never been disappointed with the quality so far. Also, their selection of sausages are amazing. Can't wait for BBW season to start again!

Good to have a local and knowledgeable butchers on your doorstep. Good selection of meats - they even have beef bacon, which I had not come across before. I can however say that it is very tasty. As well as that, they have a range of condiments and sauces for sale too, all of which look very nice. Some craft beer, spirits and wine sold which is useful. Would recommend to anyone, every time I've had meat from there I've never been disappointed. A wonderful addition to the shops in Forest Hill.

Excellent quality meat and an eclectic selection of drinks and preserves. I Have found the service quite perfunctory on every visit, which is a shame. I work all over London and always make a point of trying new Butchers and Deli's as I enjoy supporting independent businesses. What keeps me coming back to various ones across London as opposed to supermarkets is the superior quality of the meat and the welcoming atmosphere that the best offer. A smile, rather than a scowl, and a simple "Hello" is all I'm after and a surefire way to guarantee, not only mine, but other people's repeat business. Maybe I've just been unlucky.

it's a great thing to have a local butchers, and even more so when it's a fantastic one, which this is. Not only is the quality of the meat brilliant, the staff are also incredibly helpful, and will recommend cuts you didn't even know existed. When I went in to buy pork chops, they only had huge ones left, so the guy dug me out some spare rib chops, which were delicious, and about half the price of the other chops. I can't recommend this place enough - for the quality of the meat, it's incredibly well priced too. Obviously not as cheap as Sainsbury's over the road, but then with meat, you get what you pay for.

My favourite butcher in the area. Selection of meats is great, staff can always give sound advice which piece to use. Love the way they pack meats in the old fashioned brown paper as well. Recently they've got a great selection of beers as well, which is great to pick a can for a yummy sausage roll or a pork pie for a quick picnic in the park nearby.

Recently moved to Forest Hill, I was impressed with the quality of the meat and staff is friendly quick and professional, I remember on my last visit I asked if they had pork belly with a little more fat than the one on the front shop counter and the lad didn't even hesitate, he went to the back and got me exactly what I was looking for. In these area they were the first shop to implement the policy of one costumer at a time inside the shop and two meters apart queuing outside the shop during covid19, way before government imposed social distancing measures. It's a bit pricey but it's worth every penny, being a foreigner I have perhaps a strange/different way of asking for what I want but they are never fazed and go the extra mile to understand what I want and make sure I'm satisfied with my order. I highly recommend this butcher.

One of the best butchers in Se London. All the staff know there stuff and the selection of different cuts of all types off meat is vast selling beer and wine to go with it. They also do classes in butchery and is an amazing experance and really good fun and value. Huge asset to Forest Hill. PS. Dont judge this place from the stuck up 1star review from the ladie below.
