I have high standards for sausage rolls and this certainly met them. Generously portioned with an emphasis on the quality meat and buttery pastry. Worth the visit to Borough Market for, definitely coming back to try the other flavours.

We had the traditional sausage roll and the spicy lamb sausage roll and both were excellent. Each sausage roll is a meal in itself. I enjoyed the spicy lamb sausage roll best because I didn't find it as dry as the traditional. I would recommend some tomato sauce for the traditional one as it was a little dry.

I do a large haul at the ginger pig every couple of weeks to stock up meat in the freezer. the sausages and pies are really good for freezing. not had any issues, meat is very good quality. depending on the cuts of meat it can be cheap, so not too dear on the pockets when mixing other more expensive cuts like steaks. only thing that could be better is plucking the poultry, had to spend a bit of time cleaning up chicken wings, or turkey.

Yummmmm!!! We tried the traditional sausage roll, its amazing!!! Another amazing point was that we bought it at around 1pm… took it home after 3 hrs, it was still warm!

Bought a tradiional sausage roll and a traditional scotch egg. They offer a choice between cold or warm sausage roll although not for the scotch egg, still a nice service since you can walk the market or join in a long queue while enjoying the hot food. The pastry is a bit disappointing and not flaky an buttery enough but inside is the main character, a very filling and meaty savoury treat overall, it definitely worths the £4.75. I find myself enjoyed the scotch egg more than the sausage roll, the soft boiled egg inside is cooked perfectly too.

Fantastic butcher. You obviously do pay more than in the supermarket but you very much get what you pay for, the meat is of a far higher quality. Staff are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions or give advice on what cuts / amounts of meat to use for things.

Best sausage roll ever! I bought the traditional and the spicy lamb. Loved both! The meat was very juicy especially the lamb. The pastry is so delicate and flaky, and it absorbs all that oil and lamb juice. Not to mention there is definitely alot of meat!!

I tried the sausage roll which was good but not incredible. This will perhaps be hard to believe but the meat filling was too much, the meat:pastry ratio was off, if there had been slightly less filling it would be five stars. I guess this is a preference thing. I would recommend it and was nice served warm. Second best sausage roll I have tried in London.

Ate the famous sausage roll here. Fantastic quality (no rusk, full of flavour) but be warned this thing is hugely filling. If you're planning on eating loads of other stuff at the market then this sausage roll might scupper those plans. One thing I would have liked to go with it though was brown sauce which they didn't have. That's a shame.

They aren't telling porky pies about the quality of the sausage rolls. They really are something special. Full of flavour, a jucy middle and crisp pastry.

Grab a hot sausage roll - they are the best! The actual butcher side is fantastic. Top quality meat, professionally prepared. Yes, you'll pay more for fillet that at the supermarket, but the variety of cuts means that you don't actually have to spend a fortune.

Great butcher with high quality and animal welfare meat. Can get a bit pricey but the quality is top notch. The steaks and some of the prime cuts are absolutely gorgeous. Delicious bacon and sausages as well. That being said you can frequently find great deals like 2 ham hocks for 8 quid

The Ginger Pig has a great reputation and it supplies the meat for a few of the best burger places in London, so it's not surprising that its own food lives up to the hype. I tried their sausage roll – not only was it huge, but the meat was delicious! Will be back to check out their other meats.

We always stop here when we are up at Borough and eat your sausage rolls they are to die for. The meat is fabulous too. Today we have bought some pig's cheek pate for tea and we are looking forward to it. The service is always good and the staff are always ready with advice and help on how to cook and serve the meat too.

This location of the Ginger Pig chain is my least favourite. Having tried most of them this unfortunately doesn’t deliver on consistency. I’ve give this location a go every once in a while when I’m in the area and have been disappointed most every time. They have a high turn over of stock so the meat isn’t aged as long and loses that distinctive GP taste. The steak cuts aren’t as varied and not cut as well. Shame.

This branch of The Ginger Pig is in Borough Market, so it gets insanely busy in the late mornings / early afternoons. It's pretty pricey too - the stuffed breast of lamb I bought was £8, and apparently that cut normally goes for half that in even the fanciest of butchers. Still, it was really very good and I didn't feel short-changed.

my favourite butcher shop in the whole england ! many types of meat you can find in here , fresh steak with your choice of cutting, mince meat that is not too much fat but still have enough flavour in it , my most favourite is beef ribs that you cant find in anywhere else if you love pork ribs you will love this one as well, tasted just like steak and in this summer will be another good choice for BBQ
