Unique venue with a unique decoration. Expect a Portuguese wooden country theme. On arrival we weren’t greeted but sat ourselves to a table as the venue was very quiet. I had a chicken based dish and two sides, it was cooked to perfection and the portion was perfect. Everyone loved the food and I’d return again. Be careful of ordering wine, the house red is £14 and increases to ££££. Three mains, olives, calamari, and a bottle of red/ two martinis = just under £90

Very good food and nice atmosphere. I was in the back which was quite quiet, and seemed to be a lot of regulars. There was about a 45-50 minute wait for the starter but the main came quite quickly after. I would visit again although may eat a snack before.

Simply put... Amazing. The chicken was moist, yet perfectly cooked, in fact i just had returned from holidays in Portugal the previous week, and it tasted better in here than it did back home. The sides were just as good specially the Brazilian style beans were super super tasty and well worth the price. Will definitely come back again when next in Plymouth. Well done guys, you deserve 6 stars.

Our best dining experience during our two week stay in England Although it seems like a humble family restaurant from the sidewalk. Once inside, we felt like we were transported back to Portugal. If you like Nando's, get yourself an original here. Great service and food. Despite being a restaurant, kinda feels like you're going around someone's house. Restaurant to the rear, café up front, street side tables, too. If you're of a certain age you can sit outside and reminisce weekend nights of your youth. If you've been on holiday to Portugal, they also have a well stocked shop with all your Portuguese favourites.

Really great restaurant. Came to Plymouth for a break and wanted some real Portuguese food as my wife is Portuguese and we haven't been there for a while due to COVID-19. Fantastic food, great restaurant with real authentic atmosphere, staff very friendly and great reminder of Portugal.

Came here on a week day.. Walking into the restaurant felt like I was abroad in Portugal.. Friendly waiter.. there was no rushing for us to make our orders.. I had a lovely Portuguese wine which really was delicious.. Onto the food .. Had mixed olives for starters which which were in a lovely sauce .. The waiter yet again gave us plenty of time, I had a sirloin steak which was amazing … not over cooked or under cooked it was just right .. fries with their skins on were perfect and veggies perfect .. I wasn’t able to eat it all as I’m not a bit eater but it was cooked to perfection.. the person I was with had ‘Meat skewer’ with veg and fries which I’m told was perfect.. Hence the reason we will be back again this week. After our meal we sat outside and had a lovely coffee, yet again not feeling rushed to go. Looking forward to going again

Great local business run by wonderful people. Very authentic Portuguese dishes with fresh ingredients and nice charcoal grill. This is one of the very rare places that offers gorgeous seafood dish and as a Japanese, it's so precious! Staff are always welcoming and friendly. Owners couple are always fun, warm, hardworking and pleasant. Never had any disappointment and I always come back to enjoy special moment. During the first lockdown, they did coffee takeaway. I love their custard and cinnamon roll😍

Second visit in two weeks love this place the foods great the atmosphere is just like I'd imagine it to be in a village restaurant in Portugal, I've been a few times and normally have the grilled chicken which is always spot on but last tonight tried the pichana steak that was cooked just how I asked, my wife had the pepper steak which again was Cooked to perfection, great wine and sagres on tap, the owner and his wife are very nice people and very welcoming nothing is too much for them. If your in the mood for real authentic food then look no further than this place.

Good points: Every time we eat here, we get the chicken. It's delicious and very well wrapped up whenever we decide to take it home with us. Still piping hot after 20-30 minute journey. Very tasty coffee too, staff are friendly and professional. Bad points: Not enough cakes! Please bring more of those tasty Portuguese cakes!

Wonderful, service and food! We wish we had discovered this earlier in our trip to Plymouth. We arrived quite late (in the middle of a rain storm!) to the restaurant with our young son. The wait staff couldn't do enough for us. We had a whole chicken with sides and it was cooked perfectly. Would go back a thousand times over! Thank you!

What a great find. We had heard from friends that these guys had great cakes and coffee, and nice meals. We decided to come and see for ourselves and its all true. We had a fantastic meal, with great starters and the best ribs and chicken (all cooked over charcoal) we've had in town, followed by delicious deserts. We'll be back, very soon.

Our first foray into Portuguese food and a bit disappointing. If you want big portions then this is it but if you want tasty authentic food I'm not sure this is the best place to try something you don't know. The shredded bacalhau and potatoes was ok but huge and once you had a few mouthfuls the same taste every forkful after was just too starchy and samy. My wife had the octopus which again was huge but not tender and so tough was inedible. The open kitchen and friendly environment were very good and this made up bit for the food.
