Reviews of The Gourmet Goat Farmer

Thanks to the flyer left on our windshield at Avebury car park, we happened to visit this lovely place! Food was just great- never had goat burger before and it was excellent! Staff were nice and lovely !
Also nice collection of locally produced soaps and chutneys was a great bonus! Surely will let our friends know about this slightly “hidden” place. But so well worth a visit!

Lovely little place, fab coffee and salted caramel brownies served with a smile. The goats are nice nice to see too

A lovely experience. The decor is beautiful and there is a nice selection of coffee and cakes.
We were given goats milk to sample which was delicious and I very much recommend trying this in a coffee!
Also it's great fun feeding the goats. Well worth a visit - especially with kids!

Great local produce and friendly staff. Third visit now and each time left with a smile on my face. Feeding the goats can be fun and everything is decently priced - could be considered a bit pricey but it depends on if you are happy to pay for higher quality, more environmentally friendly produce and support British farmers.
Had a strawberry milkshake and an espresso from the cafe and the cost is comparable with National Trust down the road at Avebury but Gourmet Goat Farmer quality but much better! And this time, we went away with two adorable goat shaped and decorated biscuits which we're looking forward to having with our afternoon tea!

Great place for a snack including goat cheese or meat if you fancy.

Excellent and so informative. Beautiful goats and gorgeous kids.
And after a great visit I'm looking forward to my goat noisettes and cheese.

Lovely little cafe selling high quality coffee, brownies, etc and other things, not all goat-related. Well worth a visit.

Brought some lovely hard goats cheese, for pizzas. I have a adverse reaction to bovine whey protein. The supermarkets goats cheese sometimes list cows milk in feta. The gourmet goats cheese is gorgeous and last two weeks when opened.

Fresh local goat with lovely service from a great looking little cafe. Not tried the cafe yet but definitely will soon.

The inside is very cosy and it's a lovely place, but when I ate there there was only 2 foods to pick from and someone I went with didn't order anything because there wasn't anything she liked. Not to mention the food was really expensive for what you got, and there was no chilled meat. This sounds like a really bad review, but other than that it was pretty good. Loved the goats there too! It's definitely something new to check out!

Have come here a few times when in the Avebury area and it never disappoints. Came here in the summer and enjoyed a brownie and coffee sat by the goats. And today I have enjoyed a goat cheese Panini with hot chocolate sat in the warm cosy cafe. Excellent staff and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend 👍

We visited with our two grandchildren on 26.8.21 lovely coffee and milkshakes we tasted the goat milk , then we visited the goats , we would love to use the indoor pool but I think it is for lessons it looked beautiful, met Chloe and her animals too. Stayed for lunch this was smashing our grandchildren had lunch bags which were the right size ,lovely fresh ham and melon in fruit pots , the goat burger I had was such a good size and lovely salad too .we bought some frozen goat and a jerk curry seasoning plus some goats cheese . Altogether a brilliant educational experience thanx goats larder xx

When in the Avebury area I always stop by the Gourmet Goat Farmer, which is just to the north of the village.
Great coffee, hot chocolate and brownies . But if I'm really hungry I'll have one of their lovely fresh sandwiches.
While I'm there I usually buy some goat meat or burgers for my freezer.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff.
You can even eat in their outside seating area which is beside the cute goats.
I've also tried various items of goat produce off the Gourmet Goat Farmer market stalls. Cheese, milk, burgers, curry are all excellent. But the spicy Merguez goat sausages! They are amazing !!

Great find and had a lovely lunch. Only popped in as we wanted to get some Goat meat. Will try and visit when it's not pouring with rain next time, as it would be good to actually see some Goats.

Dropped in having been on site and popped in to the Larder. I came away with delicious looking goat burgers and steaks. Yet to try either but have tucked into the ghosts cheese straight away. Smooth deep flavour I kept going back for more. Delighted they do deliveries 😁

I have found recommendations on some Facebook page about this place and went there last Sunday with my 2 year old boy, we both really enjoyed it, goats are very friendly,, the place is clean and quiet, you can buy their own products like milk, cheese or meat, there is also a coffee shop if you want. Definitely will return :)

Thanks Laura and the team, prompt service both chatting and online and really quick delivery! Such a delight to find a local business offering excellent quality food during these times. The goat was delicious, burgers on the bbq made a lovely treat! Looking forward to the leg to roast! Would recommend and will use again! Give it a try!

Lovely little cafe with tea & cake plus a selection of gifts to buy. The goats had given birth to kids this week - so sweet

A wonderful couple of hours at the Gourmet Goat Farmer’s immaculate farm...
First, a Private Farm Tour with Chloe’s Mobile Farm (checkout her Facebook page) which the children loved; they fed goats, held guinea pigs, rabbits and chicks, groomed the gentle Shetland ponies and raced around the enclosed yard on an impressive range to pedal power farm machinery; the icing on the cake was being allowed to sit on Chloe’s vintage little grey Fergie tractor. Chloe was wonderful with the children and had taken great care over virus precautions.
Then a visit to The Larder, a recently opened cafe with a deli counter and a small range of lovely products also for sale. After chatting with the knowledgeable staff, I came away with a range of scrumptious goat cheeses, goat soaps, and some goat meat on the bone which made the most delicious, melt in the mouth slow cooker curry.
The cafe menu looked wonderfully fresh and tasty; I’ll be going back for lunch and more goat produce soon!

Always try to support local producers where possible. Their goats milk is only 20 pence a litre more than the supermarket.
