Bought multiple cars from Arnold Clark and always had a good experience. No exception at this branch. Martin was great, he spent time tracking down the car I had my eye on from the website (it hadn’t yet arrived at the branch), and updated me on its progress throughout the week. Test drove the car with no pressure at all, and he took the time to explain the extra things Arnold Clark provide. Whole process was thoroughly explained, no pressure to buy the car or use the garage finance. The car was ready for me collecting it on the day and time agreed and delighted with it. Would recommend this branch and would use again.

Just collected my new car through Martin Syme this morning at Arnold Clark Bathgate. Such an amazing sales man, very friendly and down to earth guy to speak too. I usually don’t like going car hunting because a lot of sales reps just try and grab you and don’t let you away however Martin was so good at what he does in every aspect of his role. I had my little one with me last week while in to look at cars and he straight away kept her entertained for me while I looked around a car. Even inside Martin got a little activities pack for her to keep busy with while we did the important stuff. Martin kept her involved in everything as she was so excited about picking a new car that he told her she had the most important job to do and that was to put the ‘sold’ sticker on the window. This man deserves a huge reward as he just went above and beyond for us to make the whole process so much less stressful. She went above and beyond to make sure it was rectified and I was provided with a courtesy car as I stayed miles away. I'm a returning customer to this branch of Arnold Clark, I had previously purchased a VW Passat Estate from here in 2018. As my previous car's PCP was coming to an end, Natalie Simpson from this branch proactively got in touch and inquired if I required a new vehicle. From that moment onwards, I found Natalie's approach to be professional and polite at all times. I didn't even need to reach out for a new car, even that part was looked after for me. I find this to be an amazing initiative. Natalie was very knowledgeable in her role and made the whole end to end process of part-trading in my previous vehicle and purchasing a new one as seamless as possible. Natalie assisted me in every way I required, making the whole process of driving away with a car that I wanted as hassle free and easy as possible. She was attentive, took note of every minute detail that I requested for in a new car and made sure this was delivered as soon as possible; in this case, within a few days as it required it to be sent up north on a transporter. There was no hard sale involved by Natalie, just a hard genuine effort to give a returning customer what he wanted. Natalie did all the paperwork for me, and what little I had to to myself, she guided me through this very with great knowledge. Natalie kept me updated regularly regarding the car being delivered to the branch and sent me 2 separate videos, one making sure it had all the features that I requested and the second with a detailed breakdown by a product expert on how to use the features in the vehicle. Natalie had the car valeted, polished and sitting in the showroom. Upon my arrival to pick it up, she finalised the sale process, and once I signed off all the documentation, she drove the car out to the foyer for me. Never have I been more well looked after, respected and treated so importantly in a car dealership, I now know what having a red carpet treatment feels like. To Arnold Clark HR, in the hands of very capable staff like Natalie lies your future leaders and senior managers, she is one of those rare gems who can train the trainer, ensuring every customer leaves with such a satisfied experience as I have. Simply putting 5 stars here doesn't do her justice. I had my previous car for 3.5 years and only needed to take it to the garage twice, for a scheduled MOT. The car was so reliable that it never let me down once. It drove as well on the day I, very sadly, handed it back, as it did 3.5 years ago when I picked it up. On the new car, from what I've seen so far, I have have no doubt about having the same as the Merc E220 AMG that I bought this time is the best car I've ever owned in my life.
