Had a pleasant experience at the Nissan showroom, when buying the Leaf. Even though they were busy and understaffed over the Easter bank holiday weekend, Chris Makariou was courteous and friendly. He patiently answered questions and spent a lot of time explaining all he knew about the car during the demo and test drive. I can definitely say he is the most honest car salesman I have ever met. He regularly was in touch and followed up on the other documentation/payment before handover. He is a smart bloke and didn't let internet glitches delay the transaction by turning on his phone's personal hotspot to get things moving. This is our first electric car and having driven it for a day, it is the future of driving. glad I made the choice

I went to multiple garages looking for a new car recently, and all those garages had that very 'salesy' vibe that you may stereotypically associate with car sales people. That was, until I walked in to Wessex Nissan and was greated by Ian Peters. I told him I preferably needed an automatic due to ongoing joint pain. He was so thoughtful, knowledgeable, friendly and genuine. Not once did I feel pushed or 'sold to'. The entire time I was there he made me feel that he had my best interests at heart, even if I walked away without any of his cars. He could have tried to sell me anything, but he was discounting cars based on MY needs. I left the garage with no pressure to return, but after visiting more garages, with more pushy sales people, I rang Ian back up and said I wanted to come back for one of their cars and I'm so glad I did! If they offer this kind of commendable attitude to a customer for just an MOT, then they're the kind of people who would undoubtedly not let you down when purchasing a new or used car.
I cannot talk for every member of staff but for those I met and had dealings with, their attitude ,honesty, friendliness and politeness were second to none. After all, what should a customer expect - tea in bed and / or champagne on arrival!!They are a business - they deal with hundreds of customers both pleasant and often, I'm sure, very unpleasant.But their outstandingly first class attitude needs to be documented.

I was shopping around for a specific vehicle and had been for several months. I looked up Nissan garages all across the South West checking reviews and pretty much 80% of the time ended up coming back to Wessex Garage in Bristol even when the vehicle I wanted wasn’t available. I was always put off by the fact that it meant I had at least a two hour journey to get to them from where I live to go check out the vehicle I was interested in.
Less than two weeks ago I checked again and found that the vehicle I had been looking for was now available. I sent a message on Friday night thinking I wasn’t going to hear back till the following monday… to my surprise at 09:24 the next morning on Saturday I got a call from a very helpful young man named Chris Makariou. He answered all of my questions and gave me his availability so that I could decide when it was best for me to visit for a test drive.
I had a few contractors to deal with that morning so I had to tell him I might not be able to view the car till Sunday to which he was very accommodating. It later turned out that the contractors sorted their stuff out and I was now free for the afternoon on that Saturday so I sent Chris an email, after initially informing him that I can’t view till the Sunday, asking if I could travel up to view and test drive the vehicle that afternoon - to which he was delighted to offer his services for the afternoon on the premise that I give him a rough ETA.
I drove for 2 hours and 40 odd minutes to get there and upon my arrival I asked for Chris Makariou. I was pleasantly greeted by a vibrant well presented young individual who welcomed me in and made me feel comfortable. I got a few looks from a couple members of staff because unfortunately I was dressed rather shabilly in shorts and a ripped T-shirt and actually looked like I was a lost holiday maker, but he saw beyond that.
After a very accommodating test drive and lots of questions answered, (poor guy, I literally asked so many questions that if I was him I would have been really hacked off by the end) he was still willing to answer more.
My experience at this garage was above and beyond any previous experiences elsewhere because this guy is so patient. He knows about the vehicles he is selling and any questions you have - he has the answers. If he doesn’t it’s not long before he finds those answers for you.
Wessex Garage made my day, I bought the car, I’m so happy with it and I’m so happy I got to ask every question I needed to without feeling like I was being judged like I had been at those other garages previously.

Upon initial discussions with him he helped to get me a reasonable rate on the finance when I explained my credit rating wasn't great, so friendly and understanding and willing to go the extra mile when things didn't initially go smoothly through no fault of our own.
We agreed a good deal and he even provided me with top after sales support when I had a little issue after a couple of weeks.

I was delighted when Wessex opened at Cribbs Causeway due to the added convenience, and booked the car in shortly after Christmas. The service I received was exemplary from start to finish - with excellent and frequent communication throughout, including a video of my car being serviced to outline all the points made. All the staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble and I left the garage feeling valued and thoroughly looked after. Buying a car can be a daunting experience, however Chris John made the whole process easy and in fact enjoyable. The showroom is immaculate and the customer service received from Chris was second to none. Nothing was too much, including a test drive after the closing time to suit our work needs, searching through possible cars for affordable options, offering up best advice on cover packages and all without the stereotype of a pushy salesman.
Chris had excellent knowledge of the car industry and his products and gave us all the information required to make our own decisions. The extra mile was also met when we picked up the car and it had been made ready in immaculate condition, fuelled up and a few extras thrown in. While I am sure Chris and the garage as a whole provide this service to all customers, it is fair to say that we felt like the first customer they add ever had and were treated to match.

I often shy away from main dealers due to their pushy sales nature but this time I knew what I wanted and asked Wessex to source it for me. When buying the car the service was excellent and I love my new car. The aftersales not so good. When I collected the car which was sat in the showroom there was a large nail stuck in the back tyre, it was also missing the comfort pack that I had paid for. I was told I would have to come back another day (70 mile round trip)to have the pack fitted and they would also change the tyre. I phoned twice to confirm the day I would be coming and was assured it was all booked in and they would do it straight away as I was taking time off work. When I arrived no one had any idea why I was there and my car wasn't booked in. When I spoke to the manager and said this isn't my fault his reply was its not mine either !!!! The car was eventually sorted but not impressed with the aftersales team !

Customer service was good , however was told my front brake pads were 90 % worn and needed new discs , also tyre tread was 6 mm all round . Well front tyres are new only done 2000 miles and brakes I went and got a second appion from halfwords and they gave me mm thickness of pads and disc and both are fine , pads are only 60% worn . Glad I didn't fork out all the money for new brakes when it wasn't needed

We visited Wessex garage cribbs causeway to look at the different models of qashqai. We were greeted upon arrival and then introduced to Ross who showed us the different models and was on hand from start to finish, but with no hard sell. We asked him to give a part exchange price for our current car, and then ordered a new car. This was completely painless, we could have had our car sooner, but wanted it about 10 days later. On the day of collection we arrived and after a bit of paperwork, the car was ready and waiting, shiney and in the show room ready to drive away. Ross showed us how to use the different gadgets, and followed it up with a call a couple of days later incase we had any questions.
I would not hesitate to recommend this garage/ show room and would highly recommend Ross. We look forward to them servicing the car in the years to come.

My review refers directly to the commercial sales department and directly to the young lady (Kate) I have been dealing with there.
We are now in ownership of our 3rd NV200 van and are looking to order 3 more in the next few months. Kate really bends over backwards to accommodate our needs which is greatly appreciated. A couple of things she did above and beyond for us. As a small company trading in an older van we needed a swap over period to get the new vans sign written, fitted out, stocked up and tracked which can take a few days during which time an engineer would be without a van. Kate gave us a overlapping period of a few days in order to prep the new van and put the engineer in it before handing over our old van as a trade in. Secondly our vans carry ladders on the roof and no other company has been able to offer a courtesy van (if needed) that could carry our ladders inside or out, Kate went out of her way to purchase a set of roof bars which she still has in her office ready to fit onto there courtesy van should we need it.
Now in my mind that is not only great service and customer commitment but its a great way to almost guarantee repeat business which is a hard thing to do these days with all the companies out there chomping at the bit for new business opportunities. A big thank you to Kate and the team at Nissan.

As an almost unfathomable bonus one of the vans had to go in with a minor fault and Kate ensured the van was given priority in order to get the van and the engineer back onto the road.

Another van with a minor fault and the engineer went in around 7pm and Kate made sure that a technician stayed on late to get the van quickly repaired and back on the road within 15 minutes so there was zero impact on the engineers working day.

The Cribbs Causeway Brand Centre is possibly the nicest showroom I have ever been to - not only is it wonderfully presented but the atmosphere is relaxing and inviting. It can often be quite daunting walking into a showroom with the impression that salesmen are like 'Sharks' however everyone I encountered were young and enthusiastic and I never once felt pressured.
I was served by a Saleswoman (notice 'woman'!!) called Emily who was fantastic from start to finish and made everything so easy for me. It was so refreshing being dealt with by a woman and automatically felt at ease. I recommend her to anyone, especially if you think you may feel slightly intimidated by a male salesmen.
She advised which vehicle would be most beneficial to me, took me for a long test drive and showed me every accessory I could put on my new Juke - I am now the proud owner of a '16 plate Storm White Juke, with a red Exterior Style Pack.

Yesterday I visited the Wessex Nissan Cribbs Causeway to see if anyone could assist me with my window panel on the drivers side of my Suzuki Splash. I bought my vehicle at a wessex garage so thought they might be able to help me with my little problem........ The bracket on the plastic panel that runs down the windshield had popped off and I was not strong enough to secure it back on. The panel was very loose and moving whilst i had been driving so I wanted it secured before going any further.
I was greeted by Conor upon my arrival and he immediately offered to take a look at it himself. After a few minutes we both agreed that we needed a technician as neither of us knew what we were doing and I did not want to break anymore parts.
Conor called upon Joel from the service department - this lovely young gentleman came out to assist and within a minute the panel was off, brackets swopped and all sealed back into place. I wasnt even allowed to pay for this friendly service.

Fantastic service from Wessex on my GTR. Following a problem I thought had been caused by them they showed that it must have been caused following a wheel change by a tyre company. No matter, they ordered the required part and did the work [a lot!] gratis.
My thanks to all of the service team and brilliant way they 'owned' the problem and dealt with it. Will definitely be returning for future service work

I was looking to change from a Peugeot diesel to a more modern petrol car. Nissan were promoting the Qashquai with an attractive financial package and I visited the Wessex showroom at Cribbs Causeway to investigate the model. The Sales Executive, Tony Joannau dealt with me in a thoroughly profession manner explaining other options that were available and the model variants together with a test drive.
The trade in offered for my car was in line with other manufactures models I had also looked at (Vauxhall Grandland, Peugeot 3008) and so after further options on body insurance etc were discussed, a sale was agreed. The car was prepared at an agreed time and Tony went through the essential majority of the huge number of 'widget' choices in any modern car. I also thought it was nice that Tony introduced me to his manager as a further contact within the Cribbs sales team.

Greg Guyatt was helpful, communicative and clear when I bought my new Nissan Leaf recently. Solme things they need to work on. A - I had to go over to Patchway rather too many times (at least 3 times), when these days it shouldn't have needed so many trips. B - I was never told that the new car I was buying needed a new home charger, which you would think was fairly crucial. I had to work that one out myself. C - the car I was trading in was with Nissan Finance and there didn't seem to be much coordination between Nissan Finance and Wessex Garages as a Nissan francisee.

He did sell me some incompatible floor mats but who am I to complain about £20 mats on an otherwise perfect £30k car?
