Friendly, honest and thorough; all you could ask for when buying from a car dealer. We bought a 13 year-old Vectra (yep, we’re on a tight budget!) and were very happy with the service we got from Noel at Calibre. The car looked immaculate, had a couple of mechanical issues spotted by Noel and dealt with prior to purchase, and came with a 12 month MOT and a 3 month warranty. Recommended.

No pressure sales given the keys to look round as long as I liked and I was allowed to test drive alone. A shame all dealerships couldnt be like these!

I purchased a 57 plate Peugeot 206 over 2 years ago as my daughter's 1st car .. after spending a fair bit on it on different things the clutch went. After explaining all we had spent previously we were delighted that Noel offered a solution to the clutch repair/renewal.... what a fantastic business and if Carlsberg did after sales service.... probably...... 5 STAR firm... 5 STAR owners.... highly highly highly recommend this superb business model. I've recently moved back to Colchester after 8 years living in London, where I did not need a car. I decided on Calibre Cars as my first port of call, and I'm really glad I did. The guys are friendly, knowledgeable and professional, the process of buying my car was a piece of cake. With regards to the car itself, I couldn't be happier. If I were to need a second car or an upgrade, I'd use Calibre Cars. I've already recommended them to a family friend who quickly purchased a car herself. I googled cars for sale in my local area and Calibre car sales came up. I was impressed with their selection and a lovely red Citroen Ds3 caught my eye. We phoned to arrange a viewing in a couple of days time. On the day of viewing we met Noel who was happy to give me the keys to look at the vehicle and test drive. The vehicle was immaculate inside and out. Noel invited myself and my other half in to the office, social distancing followed at all times due to Covid-19, where he readily answered lots of questions I had around service history, parking sensors and part exchange. At no time did we feel pressured to complete the sale, it was a very relaxed atmosphere. Having decided we had found exactly what we were looking for we paid a small cash deposit to secure the citroen. Noel then arranged for the citroen to go to a local garage to be checked to then have a new MOT issued. We returned to Calibre cars the following day to complete the sale. The process was so easy, I paid by bank transfer and all documents were ready for me to take away. Calibre cars even registered the car tax for me there and then whilst I swapped my insurance to the new vehicle. Overall, what fantastic, friendly professional service from start to finish. Very fair prices and great part exchange offers available, seriously people theres no need to go anywhere else. 5* service.

Bought a super little Honda from Calibre Car Sales last week and I'm totally delighted with it. Having recently purchased a used vehicle from Calibre Car Sales I cannot reccomend these guys highly enough. The vehicles available were presented impeccably, both Edward and Noel spent a great deal of time in understanding our requirements in terms of functionality and budget and recommending suitable vehicles accordingly. On collection of the vehicle, a full run down of controls and features was given which was incredibly helpful, personal and far outweighed the level of detail that I have previously experienced from main dealers. Quality, integrity, and superiority are some of the words I would use to discribe this family run business and clearly customer satisfaction is key in the service they provide! Went here after a call to set up fiance first. Very easy to set and had a call back from fiance within the hour. Had an appointment at 2pm they were helpful and friendly took details down of the type of car needed and spec, and had a few cars that were suitable, went for a 2009 Vectra cdti as needed big boot and wanted a diesel with sat nav. Purchased a Vectra sri 150 cdti at calibre cars We live 150 miles from Colchester ,dealt with a guy called Edward, He was so helpful, sent me lots of informative photos and gave us a very accurate description of the car, lots of emails , telephone conversations etc. , knowing we were so far away, I was very interested and he even took the car off sale to save it for me, giving first refusal upon viewing, Jobs on the car were carried out ,windscreen , clutch ,flywheel ,gear selector cable, and 12 months mot, Nothing was to much trouble, if it needed doing it was done , Very good preparation to give the customer , a car that's right . And warranty on car included . We travelled down after a week of conversation, to view and purchase the car. Met his brother Noel , and his dad , and it was a very good experience, tea on arrival, There is no pressure sales ,we were allowed to look at the car in our own time , and even took it out on road test ourselves ,on our own, getting lost and doing about 14 miles lol . After 10-15 mins of dealing we bought the car , and was very happy. In the next few day I noticed a suspension knock at the rear ,I had it checked out at local garage ,and some bushes on the rear had some general wear and tear, I informed Edward , Now this isn't a mot failure ,just wear and tear, This is where Edward shown true customer service , he priced the parts and agreed to send a cheque to that value to get the job done, that's more than just a good will gesture That true service from a small family business , Cheque arrived very quickly I would like to say thank you to calibre cars ,and especially Edward for all his help I would not hesitate buying from them again. The Vectra is running great .Very Happy customer

Sold our car to this dealership as saw their "WeBuyAnyCar" sign. They say they can beat their price so we visited them afterwards and they did by £400. Would recommend trying them if you want to sell you car at least to compare the price. (They originally offered £375 more that WBAC but said £400 if we wrote a review which we were happy to do).

Drove past this dealership and popped in as have been visiting most of the dealerships in Colchester. They are priced on a par with most other garages but the reason i bought from here is that the mileages on the cars were lower than what i had been looking at for similar money. By the way I had to come back before they let me out in the cars as they wouldn't let me drive the cars without a driving licence. Thats my only quibble as they should have said before-hand.
