Car was in immaculate condition and we were allowed to test drive it so had a lovely run out to a nearby lake. Service from Steve Todd and the rest of the staff was excellent with no pressure and a very pleasant experience. All questions on the car and any niggles were dealt with before we returned to pick up the car. It was valeted, taxed, serviced, MOT'ed and ready to go when I returned.

I received excellent service from them on the 2 occasions I visited. I was able to test drive, see the service history, learn about the car's previous use, and discuss all options for warranty and add-ons. I would certainly recommend them, they are a local family dealership and clearly pride themselves on their standards. E. S.I bought a Cactus from Tolley's 2 years ago as I'd always had my car serviced etc. next door by Tolley's Express Service (Jay and his team are amazing!). The car had generally had no problems and was only 4 ish years old. That was until Tolley's Express Service spotted a problem with the timing belt. It turned out this was a problem inherent in the 2016/7 Cactus. I was advised to pay to have it looked at next door by the Citroen specialist team who would raise the problem with Citroen if it was what they suspected. I booked it in and was very kindly lent a courtesy car whilst it was being looked at. The only reason for taking one star off (it would actually be half a star if I had a choice) was that the people who booked my car in were incredibly worrying. I was told that it could be an expensive job (very expensive costing thousands if the problem has damaged other areas of the engine) and that Citroen may refuse to pay the bill. At times like this, that was really worrying. As it turns out, Citroen acknowledged that it was the same problem many Cactus cars had been experiencing with the timing belt much earlier than expected and covered the entire bill including the courtesy car!! I need not have worried so much. My advice is always to go next door to Jay at the Express Service if you want a more positive outlook on anything.
C.Today I picked up our new motability MG from the Colchester branch Andy and Steve were so helpful from start to finish I can’t thank them enough. Even received a bunch of flowers which really made me smile. Highly recommended great customer service.

I know little about cars , apart from what I would like in my car . Steve Todd welcomed us to the garage and went through all my options and explored each one with me , until I chose the car that was right for our family. Steve was very approachable and as my family all turned up together each time we went , he always made them feel very welcome too.
We were arranging our car through the mobility scheme and Steve couldn't have been more helpful, friendly, and informative. It was made so easy for me and leaving my previous motorbility car and picking my new was a smooth process , due to Stevs efficiency and knowledge.
My flowers were a lovely surprise and Steve made sure he answered any questions I had , and explained how certain things worked in the car . He made sure I felt confident with the car before I drove away from the garage. We now have a citreon C4 space tourer. Really lovely car , lots of space as a family car .

H. P.I highly recommend Roy tolloy, I use them for all servicing, mot and repairs on my citroen. Just got my car back after a fault that was a bit of a conundrum to repair! The whole time I had full use of a courtesy vehicle and whilst this was for quite a protracted period they kept me fully informed the whole time and kept cost and inconvenience to me to a minimum. I first approached Roy Tolley on a Sunday, at this time there wasnt a member of staff to fully help me. My number was passed on and I recieved a call the very next day.
As I couldn't get back to the show room again for a while Steve was very helpful over the phone telling me about my options. Each time we ended a call we arranged the next time we would speak. I would always get the next call. I never felt pressured or that I was being hounded. When I eventually got back to the showroom Steve was very helpful again. So much so I was very happy to pay a deposit that day, confident i had made the right choice.
The day of picking up my car was lovely, everything was ready to be signed, the car was ready and handing over my part exchange was easy.
Would highly recommend Roy Tolley and Steve Todd. For those that look for the little things, as i was handed my new keys i was also handed a bunch of flowers as a thank you from the company. This made my day that little bit more lovely.

R. D.Attended Roy Tolley in August 2019 to look at buying a used car. Met Steve Todd of Peugeot dealership. We discussed what I needed from a vehicle - good economy, boot space, running costs. Steve showed me a range of vehicles from Citroen to Peugeot. I booked a test drive on the 050919 to drive Pegeot 308 SW. There was some information which was not available at the time and Steve promptly emailed me the details I needed. Two weeks went by and I attended the test drive. I had at least 40 minutes in the car driving on the A12 and thorough town to get a good feel of the car. On the 14/09/19 I purchased the car.
Steve throughout was not pushy, did not hassle me and advised me what I needed to know when I needed it. Steve's customer service skills were relaxed, professional and friendly. Would recommend using Roy Tolley. So far car is an excellent, smooth drive.

Only days away from Christmas our car broke down and was a complete write off... after hours and hours of research and deliberation to find something that would be big enough for our family, stylish enough for my wife to be seen in and affordable enough to not make my eyes water we settled on the peugeot 5008, we were asking for alot for a little and didn't have much hope on many of these wishes to be met but Steve todd at roy trolleys was amazing.. he went over and above on everything, he genuinely showed care for our situation and genuinely wanted to help.. he searched high and low & found our car with as many bells and whistles as possible...as he drove it to us to see if we liked it he surprised us with the added bonus that the car actually had even more mod cons than we originally thought. He had given us hours of his time and shown genuine honesty and care...a very decent expectant father whom deserves everyone's respect so if you're looking to buy a car and worried about the "car sales man" doing your head in giving you the hard sale, feeding you a load of rubbish and taking up all your time then I strongly recommend you giving Steve a visit, a professional kind genuine bloke that I hope goes far... definitely going to be using him for any of our future purchases. Also to note, given the current situation this dealership is very responsible with its covid responsibilities, we were made to feel very safe.

Roy Tolley have consistently provided excellent service at very reasonable prices for servicing and Mot etc. We have found after sales to be equally good and its all very customer focused. G. A.The customer service for the service department is brilliant. Every time I go in (I’m on the privilege plan so I visit the service department at least 4 times a year) Nathan, Will and Sarah know who I am, if I call and say it’s Glen, they know who I am (and I know they’re not faking it because they will then talk about my car without me saying anything else). I work in an environment that is focussed on customer service so I’m very aware of what I would define as excellent, and these three definitely tick all the boxes. Working with the public isn’t always easy, always keeping a positive attitude, having a smile and greeting a regular customer like if it was the best thing that happened to you in the day can take a lot sometimes. I really hope Roy Tolley values the service department at the office in Gosbeck Road, because from at least my point of view they are an asset to the company, with incredible after care there is customer retention and possibility of further business.
B. T.Very helpful great staff. Tolley car sales are great with fantastic after sales relations. The service area is brilliant, tyres are a very reasonable price and staff are honest. Not a sucked tooth or "gonna be expensive" comment in sight.

G. B.We had a problem with our Peugeot 3008. We telephoned Roy Tolley of colchester who said just bring it down after 2pm. We arrived and within 10minutes a lovely man took a look at the steering of our car.
He said he just wanted to put it on the ramp to double check the problem.
15 minutes later the service manager came up and said they had bled the power steering which had air in it.
As the car had only done 19,000 miles he said no charge. We were really impressed with the service very helpful and on the ball. Well done Roy Tolley
I. B.Roy Tolley is a great place to buy your car. We recently bought a new C3 Citroen from them and the guys there are just amazing. Easy to talk to, no pressure, and you can have a laugh. The C3 is amazing by the way, drives beautifully and is soooo...comfortable! But professionalism is the name of the game, and helping you get the right motor is what it's about. Jack and Matt in sales go the extra mile to please. Got a great trade in price for my car too. Recommend anyone to go take a look at this dealer.
