Purchased a 2019 MX5 and delighted with the car and the service we received. Philip Joy was extremely helpful and accommodating. He made the trade in of our old car and the purchase of the MX5 hassle free. I would definitely recommend Underwoods.

I was in the market for a Lotus Elise S3 when I decided to pop into my local Mazda dealer to have a look at some MX5s. At the time I was fairly certain I would get an Elise but thought I had to at least consider the MX5. So far I had owned five sports cars and never driven the sporty Mazda, it's incredibly popular, so what's all the fuss about? There was a white one with a red roof on the showroom floor which kept catching my attention and the more I looked at it, the more I liked it. Graham Souch was very helpful and happy to answer my many questions. I'm a bit of a car enthusiast and I am aware I can bore people with my car related ramblings and opinions but Graham was very patient and helpful, no rubbish, only facts and if he didn't know the answer to one of my obscure questions, he was willing to find out. I didn't want the test drive to end, I was allowed a second test drive and that sealed the deal for me. The 1.5 is a delight but the 2 litre 184ps is definitely the one for me, it has as much performance as I would ever need on the road and just enough to have fun on the occasional track day. The 2 litre also gets a limited slip diff. It's not as fast as most of my previous sports cars but it is just as much fun as anything I've driven. If you're considering a sports car and love a manual gearbox I would highly recommend trying out an MX5, just give one a go, I now understand why it is the best selling roadster of all time. In fact it seems Mazda in general have suddenly gone all up market without telling anyone, the interiors are properly plush. They still use knobs and don't rely solely on touch screens! Audi could learn a thing or two from Mazda when it comes to interior design. To top it off I even got 50mpg from Aberfeldy Scotland to Essex on a long motorway drive before lockdown. The boot is perfectly sized for two aeroplane carry on suitcases with room for two pairs of mountain shoes and some small back packs (we like hiking). I would also like to thank Graeme Gibson in service for sorting out my boot lip spoiler. It's a weekend car for me but I've been using it for everything as it puts me in a good mood whenever I drive it. Oh and the heater is amazing, it has the ability to extend my summers; as long as it's not raining, roof down, hot seats, hot air and enjoy a summer drive in January.

As usual Clive Rogers and Philip Joy (who made the paperwork a breeze!) provided an excellent service from the welcoming coffee to the photo opp🙂. Once again it was a pleasure to do business with Underwoods and I would recommend the company without reservation. Bought a Mazda 2 from this dealership. I dealt with Phil Joy he was lovely, took me through all the finance options and answered all my questions. On the day of collection he went through everything on the car and paired up my phone to the car. I love my car, it was the best decision to buy new and the service from Phil was great. Oh and they make a lovely coffee whilst you are doing the admin.
