He was very caring in his approach to us and we certainly appreciated it. Also Gracie was the hand over person and I couldn’t fault her. Again very helpful and caring. I've always had my Ford serviced at Allen Ford London Road in Coventry. The complimentary video was excellent as it makes the transaction transparent. This time I had my vehicle collected from home. The gentlemen who collected the car were very businesslike, bordering on the impression of "I don't care about you". I suppose they're not required to be friendly with customers. Unfortunately, Allen Ford has decided not to give NHS staff discount this time.

EDIT 21/02/22 Since posting and submitting a complaint to the service team, the service manager has been in contact regularly and made sure I was not only aware of everything that was going on day by day but also that my needs were met with regards to alternative arrangements. I have therefore amended my review but it is a shame that a complaint had to be made to get the service right. ORIGINAL REVIEW Service department is incredibly poor compared to past vehicles. I have a fleet vehicle with alphabet that is currently being serviced by Allen Ford Coventry and the service has been very poor. Firstly it was booked in for a recall yet I was told I would be charged for the courtesy car. Not ford as the fault was with them, not my leasing company who own the vehicle but myself which has never been the case with any of my previous company cars. I was told by the employee that in her experience the leasing company never sign off on this, despite this being the case for the past 12 years and it turned out her experience only consisted of approcximately 6 months. Next I asked for if they charge my vehicle as part of the recall. I was met with confusion as to why this was needed and confusion tht my vehicle was an electric car. Then I was called 1 hour after dropping the vehicle off to be told that the people who need to carry out the recall were not in as the booking service had not informed them of the vehicle typoe (assume because it was HV and technicians need to be qualified to work on HV vehicles). I was informed that the software update would be carried out and that the recall issue was rebooked for 2 days later. I was also told my courtesy car and vehicle charge would be complentary due to the issue, however I would have expected this as the issue was with Ford not myself. I was then called at the end of the day to come and collect my car, to which I suggested they just keep hold of it for the sake of 2 days. The day of my rescheduled service I received no updates throughout the day so I called Allen Ford Coventry Service department at both 1:30 and 4 but could not get through to anyone so left a message on the automated service. At 5pm I contacted the live chat service and was informed one of the team would get back to me. At approximately 5:45pm on the Friday I was called by a representative of Ford Allen Coventry stating that the recall issue had been fixed bu that my software update had still not been carried out (despite previously being assured it was done) and was repeatedly failing. They would need to keep my car and retry on Monday. It is now Tuesday and I have had no updates, I have called both Monday and Tuesday requesting a call back and contacted the live chat service but I still have no updates from Allen Ford. My future services and recalls will be through an alternative dealer, the communication, attitude and information provided for service by this dealership is abysmal. I cannot speak to their sales department.

The receptionist I met this morning behaved like a robot, asking questions and not waiting for answers .. the only time she looked at me was because I kind of held onto the paperwork that she needed back! .. it's a long time since I've had that kind of experience.. of being treated so rudely.. it was upsetting .. and made me forget a few things that I had wanted to say! But after that , the video was great, the phonecall advising of work that needed doing was also great and when I went to pick up the car ( having been advised that it would be ready for 5) I found that the car still needed a clean inside and out..this was going to take another 30 minutes and because I couldn't wait and had returned at the time i had been told to, the lovely (different) receptionist offered that I could come back and have the car cleaned at a time when I wanted.. that it was part of the service and they owed me that .. provided that I telephone them first ..

There was a hiccup that meant the vehicle was not ready at the proposed time which meant they had to keep it overnight and that was a little inconvenient for me!.... Tom Livmore in used car sales assisted me in seeking out the perfect car to fit my very specific requirments and budget. At no point did he 'try to pull the wool over my eyes' with sales tactics and was honest from the outset. You can tell that genuine customer care is at the heart of this department and was portrayed by every member of staff that answered the phone to me. COVID regulations were being strictly adhered throughout the office on my 'handover day' which put me at ease. The car itself was immaculate and smelt clean! I would highly reccomend Allen Ford Coventry to all friends and family and have never had a bad experience - this statement would be true for multiple members of my family. Bought a new car there and sales staff was friendly and I am happy with the communication. The Rugby branch was ripping me off and the Coventry one did better on the quotation. What I feel was a bit cheap is they don't offer customers complimentary drinks. Yes it's not a 'luxury' brand, but I went to a Kia dealership and they even offered me free coffee and I was only there for a free in-warranty repair. Surely it doesn't cost them that much bottom line for amenities when I am buying a £28k car? The washrooms are also missing baby changing tables.
