Great Service and experience thanks to Tim!!
I live in Newcastle but seen a car that I loved online from the Derby dealership. I rang and got through to Tim who has been an absolute delight to deal with. He was so great with the information about the car and sending me videos the same day. He advised me on the best ways to buy my car and advised come to see it and then arrange a home delivery for me. He made the whole experience really great and not pushy at all from a sales perspective which is really refreshing! Really responsive and really friendly Which is exactly what you want when you spend so much money on a new car! Thanks So much Tim!

I recently swapped my pick-up for an A-Class at Meredes of Derby. Their service was excellent. Finding me a time to suit my schedule - allocating plenty of time to look at the cars and then able to source the car I wanted easily. The benefits of a good network!

Mercedes Derby went over and above from the first point of contact, after I had lost faith in the Mercedes Dealership network following a poor experience in the East of England.
The service and willingness of James Smith - Sales Manager, to treat the customer with respect and understand their needs was exceptional, making sure all aspects of the vehicle buying process was discussed in full.
Andres the Business Manager, went above and beyond to secure a video of the vehicle for this long distance sale even though they were short staffed and the weather was terrible.
On the day of collection Henry and the team made sure that everything was to our satisfaction with James and Andres both taking the time to come say "Hi" before we drove away with our new purchase

I recently purchased a 9 year old SLK and have received fantastic service. I had a trade in which was only worth £1000. Considering the dealership must have customers who spend considerably more than I did, I have to say the treatment I received was excellent from start to finish. Sean and Jonathan were both brilliant. They were not pushy at all but discussed my needs and offered excellent advice relating to finance etc. When I picked the car up, Sean took his time to go through the features with me and ensured I was happy before I left. The car was immaculately presented and they went the extra mile for me (no pun intended). The staff on reception were also very friendly and helpful. Overall, it was a great experience and I recommend them highly.

In global the service was good. Two less positives. No complementary car solution for customers unaware of “you need to previously book it. £26 + £26 to get home and return to collect the car. Way too much and avoidable. Also had to chase results of the service calling as more than 1 hour after receiving email confirmation that it was finished no one had called me.

To be honest I very rarely do reviews but on this occasion the service I received from Tim Irons and Jonathan Ramsay was just on another level and I just felt I had to share my fantastic experience. The car I bought from them was my 9th Mercedes I’ve bought from a Mercedes Main Dealer in the last 6 years, I’m just a normal private customer not a business buyer.
I suffer from a very bad back and needed to find a rare and difficult model spec, I bought a GLE with air suspension thinking that would work perfectly for me but as I drove back home to Southampton from Derby it quickly became obvious that I’d made a big mistake. Tim and Jonathan found me another car within a couple of hours which was a GLC Sport (smaller more comfortable wheels) Premium Plus Pack with air suspension (very, very rare car)…. Not only that but it was in my favourite colour too.
The car was exchanged under their Dealer Exchange Plan with no fuss and at no extra cost to me in record time and within a few days I was in my new car. Thank you both for your dedicated efforts to complete your goal which was to make me happy with my new car. You also had to reverse the finance and then redo it all for me. I live 160 miles away but they will definitely now be my go to Dealership. In a time when it seems it’s more common to receive poor service and have to complain that’s it’s so nice and refreshing to be able to receive such fantastic customer service. Thank you Tim and Jonathan if your goal was to over deliver in customer service you absolutely smashed it

With regards to the actual service, I couldn’t be happier. Great communication throughout the day from Robyn who was lovely and helpful.
My issue comes when I came to collect the car. I approached the reception and it was empty. I looked around to see a lady with a brightly coloured scarf with dark hair sitting talking to a gentleman who was clearly purchasing a new car. The lady completely ignored me for a good ten minutes despite even getting up and going behind reception to use the phone. When I asked if she could help me she answered me with a huge attitude to tell me “I’m busy with other customers ACTUALLY”.
I mean in the time it took to walk across the room to the phone would it have been hard to say “hi sorry you’re waiting, someone will be here soon”
I didn’t even really care if she helped me or not, just a basic acknowledgment would have been nice. She could have even said to her customer - I’m so sorry can you excuse me for 2 minutes while I just find someone for this lady. But actually all she cared about was her sale and completely blanked everything else. Maybe don’t sit in reception if you require that level of privacy?
I work in customer services and quite honestly it seemed she just lacked the basics - I would be ashamed if I had treated any of my customers how she treated me and would question why she is working in a customer focussed environment in the first place.
Again - thanks to the service team and to Robyn but next time I will go to an alternative dealership.

The whole process was absolutely seamless and the car really lived up to expectations, looking just like a brand new one, despite being a few months old. Met Chris Greaves after he shent me a video viewing of a GLC. He was very ameanable, sent us on a test drive, and guided us through the buying process including extras such as extended warrenty, wheel damage cover, and ceramic paint protection. When we collected the vehicle he introduced us to a service colleague to set up a service plan which they made very easy.

Handling of Covid - very good
Parts availability - Poor - I booked my car in on Tuesday for Friday due to parts not available pick my car up Monday. Due to a leak I could not use my car and the delays took this to 7 days
Cost - exorbitant and confusing. Initial quote didn't match the final invoice. I believe this is done so that it is difficult to cross check. Still not sure how much parts are and how much labour is. I believe parts are small cost and labour is very high cost. Difficult to justify.
Mercedes Contact didn't understand the breakdown of costs and wasn't sure how long each job took. However, he did reduce my costs from the original quotation. Unfortunately, £999 still left an unpleasant taste in my mouth for a coolant leak that didn't involve my radiator being replaced.
Quality of work - I am pleased with the results, my car feels better and runs better.
Credit Card - I am disappointed that a dealer such as Mercedes does not accept American Express. I couldn't even get the satisfaction of adding to my Avios.

Spoke to Jeremy and Jonathan extensively over the phone. They were both excellent and provided all the information we needed to make a purchase decision. The majority of this was done via email and phone and was a very easy process. The final part was actually collecting the car and finishing of the paperwork as we managed to sort the majority of paperwork remotely. The dealership is one of the best, very impressive and with lots of choice. Jeremy provided a detailed run through of the features of the car and provided lots of additional valuable information. It was one of the easiest and best purchasing experiences and I will not hesitate to go back to them when we are looking at changing the car.

Excellent service from Mercedes, Lee showed me around the car that I had booked in to look at, no pressure to buy which makes a nice change. After deciding to go ahead and buy the car Lee promised to have the car valeted and ready for me by the weekend. Lee kept his promise the car was immaculate and ready to go when I arrived to collect it. After care has also been amazing, Lee called me to check everything is going okay with the car and reassured me that I can contact if I have any issues. At Inchcape I found everyone from the receptionists to the sales team very friendly and helpful. I was greeted as if I mattered, offered refreshments, and a test drive right there and then by Martin Harvey. Nothing was too much trouble and everything was explained fully, despite it being quite obvious my knowledge of a car was little more than it had four wheels, a steering wheel and a door to get in. There was no heavy handed sales talk making me feel I would not get out of the door without signing on the dotted line. This treatment was repeated on the day I returned to place the order with Martin, and also when I picked the car up. Five star treatment? No, that should be ten.

Lovely staff that kept me up to date with my service, only issue is still not able to delete a Mercedes me message! That appears on the display! So it’s another appointment needed! Also my car is just under a year old and now I’m informed that I have to pay to update my maps app! When purchasing the vehicle I was told that this would be all done free of charge by Mercedes as I don’t have a home computer to download from! Was told not to worry these things would be done for me! Well that’s not the case anymore! £100 charge! I don’t think this is acceptable!

We have rated the service received from Mercedes Benz Derby as fair. Our car went in, this time, to have the rubber seals on the windows replaced and to have a rattle looked at. The car had an issue previously with the steering wheel fraying and when the new one was fitted, it was fitted out of alignment, and we had to send the car back in again. This time, we were told the car would probably not be back to us the same day, but we would be kept informed. We called mid afternoon on the second day for an update from the service manager, but he never returned our call. On day three, we tried again to get an answer as to when the car would be ready. After numerous calls and assurances from the reception lady that she had sent an email to him, asking him to call us, we finally were told it would be ready mid afternoon.
The sales team were brilliant when we bought the car, but the problems we have had in the first few months of ownership and general after care service has been far from satisfactory.
We only hope there are no more problems with the car itself and that communication in the future is greatly improved. We expected more from such a well known and prestige company.

Dropped car off for MOT and got a call when it was ready. The process was much much quicker than it normally is when the showroom is fully open. 30 seconds to drop off and 30 seconds to pick up. What's your name and registration - drop the key in an envelope - all done.
In the past the process has taken around 15 minutes and involved going to reception who then phone someone and I have to take a seat for the person to come out (lots of staff around busy doing other things) which normally takes 5 to 10 minutes and then go through some superfluous paperwork - with a similar process on pick up.

Had to drive there to pick up a bolt for a job I was doing in Nottingham. 2 hours in traffic I arrived at the dealership quite irate as I was put so far behind. Fantastic! Although we weren't able to speak to someone the receptionist explained the process very clearly and was very helpful, we didn't make an appointment as we were just passing through, the used cars were arranged very well and the showroom was very well prepared for the current circumstances, again! Excellent service! Andy the technician diagnosed and fixed a minor fault on my car quickly and efficiently. He saved me buying an expensive part that I was told I would need by another garage. Since my car e220d is less than 18 months old and had its oil changed less than 6 months earlier I took it in for them to check out, they confirmed it did need oil likely due to the engine still bedding in (it's only got low mileage as I have another car I tend to use for work) they topped the oil up as a gesture of good will and I'm hoping everything will be okay now.
I'm pleased it was sorted out efficiently and happy with the explanation they gave.

Rear suspension had dropped. I hadn't booked a time but was told to turn up and ask for a salesperson. As it happened I needed to speak to someone from the service department. When I saw someone they advised me to leave the car with them as it might not be safe to drive. I was going to the Yorkshire Dales the next day and they arranged for a hire car to cover my stay and for a taxi to take me back home.
As things turned out, my car was repaired that day and I could use it to go away and return the hire car.

I’ve not been a direct customer here, but visited with a friend who took her car for a service. The staff were so attentive and friendly, and really made the visit great. There was a girl there who chatted to us like we were friends and I thought that was great as it put you at ease (sometimes I can feel on edge in car places) didn’t catch her name but she had brown hair, really chatty and like a London accent.

This was my first experience of a service and whilst I recognise that you have your procedures to follow, I would nonetheless like to give you my perspective.
I arrived early for an 8am appointment and; as i was on a service plan and everything was pre booked, I expected to drop my keys at reception and get off to work. No. I had to wait and see someone to check: phone number, email address, registration, work required, inside leg (no). All of which was a matter of record and proven.
To be fair it didn't take overly long, but not at all would have been way better!
On a positive note car serviced and washed and a piece of trim where the "chrome" effect had delaminated replaced under warranty so pleased with that.

I've had a mixed experience. When I come for services the team are excellent. From reception staff through to parts and Engineers. All good. But I came in to discuss buying a new car or getting a car on lease. I couldn't get the time of day from the sales team. When I did sit down with someone, after about 5 minutes they were stood up and basically felt they didn't want to talk to me. It's an 18k investment. It takes time to get right..... So, I baught a new car elsewhere and now only do services here.

Windscreen wash refill OK although was too concentrated, diluted 3 times before getting the right mix.
The workshop never bothered to wipe down the engine cover although the car exterior was washed, which is a shame because the car cant leave garage when engine bay looks like it has been on the farm for years.
The interior of the car cleaning is rubbish, can you please add another £5 0r £10 to the price of the service so the interior can be cleaned satisfactorily.

As usuual all the work was carried out efficiently and well and the staff were all very helpful and firendly. Covid 19 arrangements went well with no hassle.
Only problem was a missunderstanding regarding tyres. I believed only the front tyres were to be changed when all 4 were so the extra cost was a surprise. The work was arranged over the phone after the last service so I had seen no paperwork. I will make sure I check all the paperwork more thoroughly in the future before leaving the car!

My car was receiving it's A service, and as I have not owned a Mercedes before, was surprised to receive an email with video commentary explaining the parts checked, outcome and any costs on completion. Fortunately I only needed to pay for the service as the car, lovely as it is, passed needing no works and was ready to collect after an hour and a half, spotlessly cleaned inside and out.

As usual with Lexus I was greeted by a very pleasant male greeter who immediately served me with a "Lexus" coffee.
I was then introduced to the service department where my details were checked.

My Mercedes GLC had a problem - when turning wheels there was a clunking noise from the front wheel area. Booked car in for investigation
(10:30am - 3/1/18). Upon arrival asked to wait in the waiting area - with around 12 other customers - a long wait ensued, established that each customer had to be seen by a member of staff (driving licences checked and then staff disappeared to presumably photocopy driving licence etc, eventually returning and after documents signed the staff member would have to take customer out to their loan vehicle. So times this by numerous customers and along time passes before I am eventually seen. Upon being seen - I am politely told that this is a known fault and new tyres are required as the original ones fitted appear to be of the wrong compound causing them to grip the road surface too much.
(1) If this is a known fault - I could have been advised about this, say over the phone, rather than waste everyone's time. It would be better if when booking vehicle in, that someone with knowledge advised me of the situation and order tyres as required and then notify me when they have arrived etc.
At 1:30 pm (17/1/18) - I arrived for the tyres to be replaced - informed that it would take an hour. I was advised that the tyres had been fitted and would I like my vehicle washed etc - which I accepted, but all this took time, i.e. I eventually left at 4 pm!!
Throughout everyone is polite and professional, but the whole waiting experience is well and truly too long. On the original visit I feel the whole "set up" needs serious re-think - I think two ladies appear to be the only ones dealing with the "receiving" of customers - the "set-up" is appears for the benefit of Mercedes not the customers.

The only down side was that you quoted me £771 for brake pads and discs - I rang my local garage who quoted £280. I realise that a premium must be paid for using a Mercedes-Benz Dealer but the difference does seem a little excessive.
