I did loads of searching online and driving around garages when I was looking for a good second hand car. I landed on MGP forecourt one Sunday and saw a car i liked the look of, and then came back 3 times to look at it, so it was telling me come buy me!!😁.. I met Martin, and was able to test drive the car, i was given all the back story on the car, and given service history... I would recommend looking at MGP when looking for a really good and reliable second hand car, very affordable as well. Martin is a great guy, offers a great service, and has some beautiful cars on his forecourt .. Good service all round...would highly recommend ...

I bought my first car from MGP and they’ve been exceptional. At the time of buying, small automatics were far and few, but this garage had exactly what I wanted for the right price. From the very first phone call they were honest about an issue that they had discovered but were fixing (before selling). They stuck to their word and got this sorted. When viewing it I noticed a few minor things that I wanted to be sorted if I was to buy (such as an air-con re-gas, seatbelts untwisted, a sealant tidied up, etc). Martin and his colleague assured me that these would be sorted before the sale. A test drive was possible and the sale then went ahead. There was some delay due to the arrival of some parts being behind schedule, but the garage were apologetic about this and knocked a bit off the price. Just a couple of very small teething issues since having it but these have been sorted with no issues made at the garage - they were happy to help and easy to contact when needed. Would highly recommend and will consider this garage for future purchases.

Ive had my car for 3 years, bought from someone else and Martin helped me when my power steering failed. He went above and beyond to help me, as the fix didn’t end up being as straightforward as it should of been. It was a very stressful time and Martin did everything he could to help. When we thought there was nothing else that could be done to find the part needed (unless bought brand new at £2000+), Martin kept working to find a solution and he did. I’m very pleased to say that my car is now fixed and back on the road. For anyone buying a car or needing help, I cannot recommend Martin and his team enough. The big dealer groups should get Martin and Shane to run training courses on how to deal with customers when seling them a car. Absolutely fantastic - open, honest transparent and friendly. What more could you wish for when buying a car? This purchase was a fairly modest one but the care and attention to detail was all there - most 'premium' car brand sales people I've come across could learn a lot from Martin and Shane - thank you it really was a pleasure buying a car from you.

What an easy and pleasant experience! I found the car I wanted, an E320 Mercedes, on MGP's eBay page, a quick phone call to Martin Peat booked an inspection and test drive for the following day. Really happy with my new car I purchased from MGP CARS DERBY. They had a lot of cars to choose from all looked stunning. Thankfully auto traders filler helped me find the one. I asked to look at this corsa. The friendly guys let me have the keys and left me alone with this great priced car. When I did need to asked a couple of questions the guys were easy to chat to. While I was there a father and daughter were in the process of buying a car. The dad already a customer. When we struck a deal the paperwork and road tax was quickly sorted. The no hassle feeling was great and a cycle carrier (on the tow bar) from my p/x was swiftly removed so I had it to take home with me. I managed to ring in the morning and by the early afternoon I was going home in my new car including a 30+ min drive from Leicester. If you're thinking of buying a car from MGP, I know you should.

Just bought a 307 from MGP today and drove it back to Manchester. Full service history, incredibly low mileage - drives very well. Most pleased with it, and with the service I received - Shane was very friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Even topped up the oil for me. Unless the car dies soon (which I very much doubt it will), I can't recommend this place enough - totally pain-free car purchase. 5 stars.

I bought a car from these people thinking like most car salesmen would rip me off but not Shane .He was polite, friendly and helpful not only did he knock £100 off the price because of some marks on the bumper the mot was very short offered me a years mot free and service if I wanted to bring it back, which did. as I had forgotten to put my wallet in my pocket He even Gove £10 to get something to eat while I waited for my car to be done. BEST 2ND HAND CAR DEALER EVER By Stephen R | 25 Jan 2019 Spoke to Martin on the phone regarding the condition of the bodywork. He assured me it was excellent and went on to tell me more about its low mileage and family history. I took what I thought was a chance, traveling quite a distance by train to buy the car. When I arrived at the train station I was greeted by Shane, an employee of MGP cars in the very car I wanted to buy. Straight away my eyes lit up as the car was exactly as Martin described it to me. Furthermore, Shane asked me to drive it back myself to their garage so I could test drive it. I wasn't disappointed. It drove like a new car. When we arrived back at MGP's garage, Shane made me a coffee whilst I met Martin to complete the purchase. He was very honest about the car from start to finish. Told me that he had serviced the car prior to me coming, and showed me the stamped up service book....he even gave me £20 for fuel to get me home. The car drove spot on going back on the motorway and over the Pennines. Highly recommended

Bought a 2007 zafira sri Cdti recently and was brilliant customer service very friendly and helpful. I purchased a car from MGP. It was a lovely car inside and out. It did however end up having an historic problem that MGP couldn't possibly of known about. After 7 days of running the car the intermittent fault kicked in and disabled the vehicle temporarily. MGP were quick to respond and they had the vehicle with their garage and a courtesy car with me in no time! Most dealers would of given you the 'sold as seen' line and left it with me. I hope this doesn't tempt fate... I bought my first car 4 years ago from MGP. A lovely little red 55 plate Peugot 307. So far she's flown through her MOTs with no advisories for the last 3 years. No issues whatsoever. I would not hesitate to buy from MGP again. In fact I'm due for an upgrade to a economical 4x4 (if there is such a thing!) in the near future. I'll be in contact. Buying a first car, when you know zero about them is daunting. All those questions like "am I going to be ripped off?"... "sold a lemon" etc.. I have zero concerns with MGP. 100% confidence. Nice gentleman and very friendly. I viewed a car before he went on holiday and was told that the car would still be there and he would hold on to it for me as he is the only one that sells the cars.
