First of all, the problems that we had are MG UK and not the local dealer.
Paul at Stoneacre is always friendly and helpful and he replies to emails quickly and is very helpful. He is very personable with us and I think that he genuinely does actually remember all his customers and their names which really makes you feel like he is making a real effort. He is not a pushy salesman. When we came before to test drive the MG5 we told him it's not really the car for us and he was absolutely fine with that and we never got chased about it. When we test drove the ZS EV we told him how much we liked it and we cracked on with the purchase. Most of the paperwork was able to be done digitally and from home so no need to drive to and from the showroom and he gave us a fair price with our trade in.
Where it falls down is MG UK are appalling at keeping their dealers up to date with delivery delays and this reflects sadly on the local branch, but for anyone reading this it is not their fault and that is why there is a five star review. MG UK - if you ever read these to see how your dealers are doing please improve your own practices and keep them informed so that they can keep their customers informed!!

It was the first time I’d used the garage and it turned out to be a pleasure dealing with them. The staff especially Katie are extremely friendly and helpful.

Small garage, 3 stars due to how difficult it is to book in for any work for Ur car. They always seem to be so busy and never be able to book you in within a week or 2. Never seem to have any courtesy cars available for when u need one unless Ur willing to wait 2 weeks for one

Fiat 500s - lovely quirky cars fraught with the usual Fiat nuances and glitches. Daughter's Fiat 500 wouldn't start and lit up like a Christmas tree. Under 3 year warranty (just) so spoke to Stoneacre who managed to fit the car in at Derby rather than local dealer in Wolverhampton.
AA towed car to Derby and, thanks to the amazing Katie and Ian (and Connor at their Doncaster HQ), car was booked in, courtesy car via Enterprise arranged in Wolverhampton and all repairs completed under warranty! THE most amazing and customer-focused team where nothing, and I mean NOTHING, was too much for them. Daughter happy (though not so after being spoilt with her brand new Corsa courtesy car!), myself very happy and a guaranteed third sale when she renews for a "grown up" car!!!

Brilliant customer service and very good bodywork repair. I had a non-fault accident back in November and once the ball was rolling with the insurers, Stoneacre were quick to respond and get my car in the shop. There was a small delay in getting my car back, but it was beyond their control due to the busy Christmas period & bank holidays etc., which they dealt with very well. Excellent service from Emma behind the desk and Jack (the mechanic who did the bodywork) even re-painted my bonnet for me as well, due to noticing a bad reaction in the paint from some sub-par work a previous garage had done! All in all, very happy with the work that was done, standard is MUCH higher than a garage I dealt with back in April for a different non-fault accident. My one small gripe is that the courtesy car I was given was quite different to my car & what I needed it for, but it was adequate nonetheless. Definitely recommend!

Bought a Fiat Bravo from them about a month ago, James was a great help in showing me the car and putting the deal through. Had a problem with the car a few days ago, turns out the alternator and battery needed replacing, but they replaced them for free and vacuumed and cleaned my car as well as giving me a courtesy car. Update: Had my car serviced with Stoneacre Derby for the first time recently and the level of customer service continues to be excellent. No long wait for a booking slot with a courtesy car and they had no problem with me dropping off the evening before the appointment. Service report is provided electronically in real time, with any areas for concern highlighted (with photographic evidence) and a quote for the additional work, but no pressure at all to have additional work carried. A seamless experience.

Took my car to Stoneacre Derby bodyshop recently. Very pleased with the service. Emma quickly came and took photos and did the paperwork for the job. Also helped me sort out getting a courtesy car from Auxillis. The work was carried out quick considering they had to wait a week for a part. Once they had the part Emma quickly updated me and the work was done within a couple of days. I had constant updates every time they found an issue or something I should be aware of. The work carried out by Jack is outstanding. My car isn’t in the best condition as it is. But it looks perfect when I got it back. Thanks again to the team!

Fantastic experience right from the first phone call from the Derby branch.
Tom was great on the phone and very reassuring to our requirements. Upon meeting him face to face the experience excelled past experiences at other car dealers. After helping us find a car we met with Peter, again very helpful and helped find a finance package tailored to our specific needs and requirements.

What brilliant customer service. We recently bought a pre-owned Fiat 500 1.2 Lounge for our daughter to learn to drive in and which had a patchy service history. I rang several providers to find out what was recommended and how much it would cost expecting Stoneacre to be the most expensive. Not only were they the most knowledgeable, which you'd expect from a Fiat dealership, but I was pleasantly surprised to find they were the cheapest. I booked the car in and had it serviced within a week. The service received from greeting to collection was fantastic. So much so that my husband commented at the time on how great they were. MG Dealership. Had Comfort software update on MG ZS EV done here. Bishop & Bishop Leicester no longer MG dealership. Only reason for 4 star was 2.5 hour wait for it to be done whilst sitting in the showroom. Otherwise no complaints and easy to get to.

Very friendly and professional service. I had my car booked in as ‘waiting’ appointment to update the software. I was welcomed by Natalie and once paperwork was done, I was offered a coffee and also I could look around the showroom and try all models displayed (including 595 Abarth which I absolutely love). My car was taken care of by Jonathan, experienced technician who is also passionate about cars. On top of the software update my car had a full inspection and aircon re-gassed and cleaned. Thorough inspection picked up brake fluid change required – which I agreed to do on the spot. There were no problems with dealing with additional, last minute repair. All was completed in about an hour.

Took my DS here for the first time. Called at 4pm to see if it was ready for collection and I was told that I would get a call when it was ready. Didn’t hear anything and had a missed call at 5.15 when I was already on my way. Thought the service was overall ok all day but what annoyed me was that I was told Twice that my car would receive a complementary outside and inside clean. First when I made the appointment and again when I went to collect it. I was told it had been cleaned!!! When I got in my car it was evident that it hasn’t been cleaned and wasn’t clean on the outside. They also didn’t realise I was on a service plan so tried to charge me for the full service. Just annoyed me slightly because with a big company like this you would expect them to have systems in place.

Having found a car on the website on Sunday, we went to see Sue at Stoneacre on Monday, Sue was very professional and efficient. She arranged a test drive for me straight away, we completed the whole deal in an hour. Excellent service ! Highly recommended.
Updated 21st May. After only three weeks of owning this vehicle I have discovered it has a couple of major issues. The first being the seatbelt locks and I can’t actually put my seatbelt on ! Quite a major issue as obviously it’s illegal and highly dangerous to drive without a seatbelt. The second being I can’t always get out of ‘Park’ numerous times now I have had to switch off the engine and start again just to be able to get out of park. I have phoned today to explain, no apology, no real concern. I could get the car booked in the day after tomorrow however no courtesy car available. Next available day is a week Monday, so 12 days away ! With no seatbelt?!? Hmmm
Not impressed at all after only three weeks, I don’t really expect to be dealing with major issues only three weeks in.
Latest update, car swapped for another, more expensive but service was great. Still a drama to have to endure but garage have been very understanding.

My wife Katrina is absolutely buzzing. Visited Stoneacre Derby to look around the cars on show. As we were perusing we were met by Sam Varney on the forecourt who very politely introduced himself. This gentlemen supplied us with information regarding the Fiat 500's which we originally went to view. His patience was impressive as Katrina's mind was changing rapidly. Anyway we arranged to see him the next day. We got there and was met again by Sam. We had agreed to buy a fiat 500 then Katrina noticed the MG, again changed her mind.
