A good experience. In all honesty I didnt expect it to be. Its been my experience that large main dealers like Perrys Doncaster can feel impersonal and you can end up as a number rather than a customer. This was not the case when I recently purchased a used car from them. Exactly the opposite. Travelled 100 miles to buy a 2nd hand car. In under a day the sales team set up a viewing, test drive and started to prep the car and negotiated a mutually acceptable deal. Really fast and very good value service / deal. However, the sales team were unhappy with some discovered damage on the car which they tried to resolve immediately. Salesman Carl Todd could not have been more helpful & took time & trouble to source the perfect pre-owned car for my requirements & reasonably under my proposed budget & also facilitating a part exchange deal. I appreciate it's more cost effective to sell privately if you're prepared for the ensuing inconvenience, however preferred to avail myself of the excellent customer service provided in store ie; all DVLA paperwork taken care of, 12 month warranty & service plan. Other quality service & maintenance packages are optional. On balance , I am well under my intended budget & feel very satisfied with Perrys Dealership where I did visit several times over the past few weeks to peruse, & found all the staff to be helpful & not in any way obtrusive. Just purchased an ex-demo Viva from Perry’s. Have to say that from initial enquiry through to completion of purchase it was an excellent experience. I’m a bit “old school” and appreciate that kind of of service. My purchase was handled by Roy Shaw who, I have to say, was a commensurate professional. Bought a used BMW X1 from Carl Todd at Doncaster, easy to deal with and talk to, a very straight forward guy, he didn't start pouring water on his tie trying to sell fabric protection or refuse to sell the car unless I took PCP which seem common tactics in the car supermarkets. Products like extended warranties, GAP and wheel insurance were offered but in no way did I feel pressured. I was happy with the price of the car and the part exchange price given for my old car. I didn't like having to pay the admin fee, all fees should be included in the window price, apart from that I'm happy. I found a small fault with the car when I got it home, they took the car back off me, gave me a car to drive off the forecourt and took it to the local BMW dealer to be rectified. What more can you ask for?

Very mixed opinion on them. They tried adding on their warranty when it wasn’t even mentioned never mind agreed. They did some work I wanted done then tried over charging me 80% more than the agreed price. Due to COVID I had a booked appointment and the person wasn’t even there left waiting an hour without even an apology was just told he at the post office which was just down the road. Never received the V5 so phoned DVLA to ask why I hadn’t received anything to find out they never even sent anything but were on the phone a week later asking for mine as changed registration from private reg. That’s the negatives the positives are that had a couple of problems with the car after I had bought it which they did deal with at their expense so can’t fault them for that. So my advice would be make sure you double check any paper work as they may try it on.

I recently decided it was time to upgrade our family car and started looking at options. I was concerned as to what was available on my budget until I came across Perry's of Doncastor. The staff were excellent and very helpful. I saw an advert on line regarding a car stating the price plus terms of the deal and was amazed and delighted to find the that deal offered on line was exactly what Louis from the garage offered me! Suffice to say I bought the car over the phone there and then! A great deal , a lovely little car at an incredible price. I really was pleased. I actually live in the South of England and happily travelled the 120 miles north to collect my new car, but the service and support from Perry's really made it worthwhile They even collected me from the train station!!

We were assisted by Carl, we had had previous experience with him and he is patient and not at all pushy. The only thing I didn't like was when we set up the finance agreement there were far to many add one. We have always taken payment protection but the chap we felt with became pushy with alloy wheel cover, tried the "what if" and that just gets my back up. It's bully tactics and I had not fell in love with the car walked away. I did at the time tell the chap to back off!! I'm not a silly kid who has no sense. The final paperwork we did notice an £8.16 petrol charge bit cheeky as this is added into the final amount so your paying interest. My one thing is that the the add ones are done and your paying interest. We took the gold package for 1 years garage cover had I read the small print I wouldn't have took it as ALL repairs are subject to the "wear and tare" clause. This can be manipulated to the garages advantage. Carl 10 out of 10. The finance chap although friendly too pushy so 4 out of 10. Over all I'm happy.

Really took time with me going through options, made it the easiest purchase of a car ive ever had, previous experiences at other show rooms I have found the sales person to be really pushy trying to get you to buy everything under the sun. The gentleman who sorted the finance (really sorry cant remember the name) was also friendly and helpful going through things like gap insurance ect, but at no time did i feel pressured that i had to get it. Saw the car I was looking for advertised so arranged a test drive and got a good part exchange for my car so purchased the car which was only 18 months old. As it was a top of the range model the next day went through everything and found a number of things didn't work so the car went in for repair and unfortunately still had a problem which cost me £45.00 to get repaired locally (I live 40 miles from Perrys) got no response when complained until I finally managed to talk to someone in management, I was refunded the £45.00 and the rest of the repairs were carried out to my satisfaction ( with a shared cost of repairing the A/C ) and I was supplied with a curtesy car whilst mine was in for repair, I can only assume that this was a breakdown of communications over the Christmas period as the staff were always pleasant and helpful so whilst my experience was very frustrating I'm sure that this is not the usual level of service by Perrys and am pleased to say I am now happy with the car and it is now in full working order and was washed and cleaned before I picked it up.

I recently bought a used car from Perrys and dealt with Carl Todd. The car was in great condition and had been fully serviced with recent MOT and Carl had done a great job preparing the vehicle when I went to test drive it. He was brilliant to deal with from start to finish. Friendly, cheerful, knowledgeable and very well organised throughout without ever being "pushy". I purchased a 2018 1.4l White Corsa a few weeks ago at Perry’s, with help from the adviser Carl Todd. After looking around at multiple dealerships including StoneAcre and the Car Shop with a lot of hassle, waiting and pushy salesmen – Perry’s Doncaster was a completely different experience which has led me to write this review. No one approached us for a while at Perry’s which we liked, we had a good look around and then we approached a chap called Carl Todd who really looked after me, listened to exactly what I wanted and made a few suggestions and then let me have a good look and decide. 10 minutes before closing Carl was kind enough to let me test drive the car I had my eye on, and explained all about the car in great detail. After the test drive, there were no pushy questions, Carl simply said have a sleep on it and come back tomorrow if you’d like another test drive. There was no pressure to leave a deposit or anything at all. We weren’t rushed to leave as the dealership had actually closed by this time. So I left and had a think, then came back the next day as the car was perfect for my needs and a great price. Carl was even kind enough to point out that the car in the colour and model I wanted was available with around 200 miles rather than the one I was test driving with 1,000 miles – which was very open and kind. Ultimately I purchased the car the next day, part exchanged my existing car and got an even better deal after a very simple and stress free negotiation. The whole experience was very easy and stress free and the price was great. I then picked up the car a few days later and it was in pristine condition. Carl was kind enough to wait for an hour and a half while I sorted my insurance on the phone, while I was comfortable at a desk with a coffee. After having the car two weeks, there were a few teething problems as you get with new cars, not the fault of Perry’s. Carl booked me in straight away and dealt with myself in a professional manner, as I know I can be quite difficult at times but Carl was very kind and calmed me down, as with cars its easy to panic due to work commitments and needing a car for a living. At one point, Carl actually polished my car for me to remove a slight mark – this is how picky I was and it was dealt with. For all Perry’s knew, the mark could have been my own fault as I checked the car before I drove it away, but this was no bother and Carl sorted it for me, despite being busy with new potential customers. I have since been booked in to sort a minor error with the tracking, a curtesy car will be provided for free, along with insurance with all the charges waivered. As I’m under warranty, the work won’t cost a penny. I was booked in the next day after I called, it could have been even sooner if I didn’t have work commitments. All credit here to Carl and Sophy on the service desk, she was excellent as well. So to summarise, after being young and naïve at times with lots of hesitation and questions, Perry’s and Carl Todd in particular were excellent. Even after panicking about the slightest things, Perry’s and Carl dealt with everything and I absolutely love my car to bits. You really can’t ask for any more. When I come to replace my car in the future, I will go back to Perry’s, as they treat even a picky awkward customer like myself very well. If you go there, ask for Carl! Been dealing with Perry's for several years. I would like to think over the years there has been a trust built in the relationship, no pushy sales and willingness to find the right vehicle. Since Phil (Doncaster) is now sales manager I only deal with Roy who makes the process nice and simple. This time round the car I originally saw had been sold the night before, but he was able to find me a like for like car with less mileage on clock and the process was completed in a matter of days. Henry (Finance) as stepped into the role Kurt had left behind fantastically and shown he knows his stuff and when probed for the impossible information he is willing to forgo the BS and find the answer. I would say the sales team are the real credit to Perry's Doncaster if you are going to get a negative impression it usually comes from the service department, but we shall see when this new (used) car is ready for its first service with me. Everyone will have their own impressions of Perry's Doncaster, and I can only speak from experience. Sales team - Top notch, be fair with them with your expectations and they generally deliver a decent car and are open to negotiations. Service team - Melissa (Doncaster) is probably the best person in there pulling up the departments trust ratings, the poor lass as had to deal with a few mishaps from the service team in the years I have been dealing with them. Parts team - Only had to deal with them once or twice, like service side don't expect miracles.

Came here today as my zafira has been recalled, never had a problem on the handover, I started browsing the fleet just to pass time, spoke to a gentleman sales man called sunny! He wasn’t pushy or try and tactics as I told him I was only here to pass time as my car was being repaired! We spoke about new cars and hypothetically crunched a few numbers, so 10 out of 10 to him! The problems started as I went to pick the car up from the service department and they tried up selling me 4 new tyres ( I know there’s 1.8 - 2.0 mm of tread on all 4 corners ) also I have a slight oil leakage from somewhere underneath my vehicle but not serious, they were so pushy into me getting these jobs done ASAP! Therefore overall a pleasant experience but not with the service team, I can understand you have a job to do but please selling products people don’t need is so off putting maybe a advisory report similar to a MOT?

Definitely no pressure selling here, had the car I was wanting, felt like I had the salesman’s attention till I had paid the deposit and then was left for ages sat waiting for different members of staff to sort the red tape and boring paperwork out. Car could have been cleaner when I picked it up and I did point out scratches that hadn’t been buffed out. Took it back following week to get scratches and a few other minor details sorted, again a lot of waiting around but it got done finally. Still early days but so far no big complaints regarding the car.

I saw my intended vehicle advertised on line and went by appointment to Doncaster to meet the sales team. The sales experience was very good with no feeling of pressure and every step was explained expertly and concisely. My sales advisor was Will Farrar who appeared very knowledgeable and friendly, and I enjoyed working towards buying the car with him. After driving the car home however, I noticed an oil leak problem. Because it was the weekend, I had to abandon the car until I could seek advice from the service team on the Monday. Upon phoning the department, and talking to two people they decided to seek advice and said someone would phone back that day. Nothing happened that day, therefore the following morning, I decided to risk driving back to Doncaster to find out why nobody was communicating with me. I explained the above to the service team, who immediately got the fault fixed whilst I waited, and apologised deeply. I was very disappointed that Perrys could spoil my first few days of enjoyment of my new car, hence only four stars.

I had seen the Vauxhall Grandland X on Autotrader however it was a three and a half hour drive away so I called and spoke to Sunny and told him about my situation and told him that I wanted an immaculate vehicle. Sunny called back within ten minutes after looking around it finding no fault, I put a deposit down and picked the car up the next week, I had a test drive and was told to have a good look and if ther was anything at all wrong they would rectify this., all was good and I took the car home. The day after there was a fault with the centre console door, when I called Sonny he told me to take it to the nearest Vauxhall dealer and if it wasnt covered by the warranty they would sort it out as nothing was a problem,i t was fixed under warranty by Vauxhall. I cant speak highly enough of Perry's and Sunny is a gentleman and a credit to Perry's, if I need a car in the future this is the company I would always go to first and I wouldn't hesitate driving three and a half hours to pick it up, I have had the car for around three months with no issues at all, thank you Perry's.

The only issues I have is the fact I was advised I had 3 year warranty and free 1 year breakdown however ive never been told how to view this or where to go should I need anything in relation to these 2 things. I then went in to Vauxhall just for a look , but I met a Gentleman called Adrian Bailey , we did “chew the fat” for a while and worked out which car was best for me. I did have my heart set on a German Brand , but I think you buy off people and after the time and effort Adrian has put into looking after me in the CORRECT WAY ! I have placed an order with him. I would recommend that if you do visit Vauxhall you go in the first door on the left and ask for Adrian – he is a gentle and genuine character and puts the customers’ needs first.
