If like me have a busy schedule and having to wait around is not an option this service is amazing and if your lucky it free. Fabulous service from Evans Halshaw Durham. Shaun a lovely polite young man, collected my car free of charge, (used to be £20) and dropped it back to me once the MOT was completed. There's good and then there's special. Evans Halshaw Durham are special, they don't just service a car or sell you a car, they actually feel like friends. We changed our thinking on the brand of car - from Toyota to Renault - because we missed the service that we were getting from Evans Halshaw Renault Durham. Toyota were OK, but it was transactional, with Evans Halshaw it is all about safety, comfort, and play - they ensure you feel welcome, know you really well, engage and solve problems. It's honestly a pleasure to do carstuff with them. So, in this time of major stress, we recommend Evans Halshaw Durham very highly indeed. People to look out for are Jo, a fantastic manager, Carol who is like a dog with a bone and is unstoppable, amazing Amy who is laser efficient and hilarious, and their festidious service team in the workshop who just crack on and fix things or spot trouble. Finally, if you want to buy a car from them talk to Gina (who is also hilarious).

Took my sandero in for some warranty work - the service from Amy B was great. Diagnosed the problem quickly, really clear on timescales for parts and having the work carried out, and courtesy car was provided without any problems. I was kept in the loop with progress as well as reminder calls the day before etc. once the work had been carried out I returned to the car which had been cleaned and hoovered out and was no damage or grime on the steering wheel/gear lever as I have experienced commonly with previous cars I have owned when having warranty work done. Considering Dacia is a budget brand the level of service was fantastic and glad to see they are taking a long term view on customer service. Looking forward to taking the car back for it’s annual service later this year - well done! Whilst there is some stock on site I haven’t found a problem parking when I’ve visited the dealership.

Just completed the purchase of a new Duster at Evans Halshaw, Durham. Now confessions first; this was not the perfect transaction having been adversly affected by the impacts of Covid, the silicon shortage and the conflict in Ukraine all adding to a delayed delivery date. These are all circumstances beyond any individuals control and in the context of purchasing a vehicle become mere minor inconveniences when there is excellent communication from EH. My sincere thanks to Georgina Cruikshanks over the course of the transaction. I expect there were fustrating time for Georgina haveing to relay dissappointing news; however, Georgina did not shy away. I do not think Georgina recognises how much I appreciated being kept informed. I give Georgina the credit she is due and would recommend seeking her assistance when purchasing.

Daniel was very friendly and likeable. My experience with car salesmen is not great but he gained my trust. I didn’t like that he had to disappear to the sales manager to authorise anything and I never saw the sales manager once. It would have been better if the person making decisions actually came and explained them to you in person and not like the Banker in deal or no deal.

I enetered the site and enquired about the Renault Zoe Electric Car, and I must admit, the salesman was fine, and was very imformative and not pressurising. I did some research on the cost of running one of these cars and ended up more expensive than my current 2.2 diesel Civic, as the lease of the batteries is high!I have been buying cars for more than 25 years now, and all I can say is, read reviews if possible, try and get reccommondations, and find a good mechanic locally at a good price. The moment I feel uncomfortable when buying a car I just walk away..it becomes an instinct after a while.

purchased a pre reg clio for my son on 6/3/15. driving the car home warning lights came on.phoned the garage who told me to take it to nearest dealer which was Benfield motors.there was an issue. durham collected the car then kept it to rectify the issues.we were without a vehicle for 4 days.i am now dealing with after sales a mr tony coils. I went to the garage for a real argument I couldn't contain myself any longer. mr coils was superb, courteous, professional, I couldn't fall out with him. an absolute credit to this company. he was not evasive in his answers, aplologised for there being an issue and I am now happy to say that the garage is going to rectify our issues and we appreciate their offer of recompense, which as a customer is greatly appreciated.do not try and hold a gun to anyones head they don't want to sell a faulty car and we don't wish to purchase one. in our case as long as lessons are learnt every one can be a winner. I now have a son who loves his car, as a parent I am very happy and this garage with its level headed response has made it possible thank you
