Recently relocated and was paying off finance on a car I wasn’t using. I decided to sell my car to Arnold Clark who are settling the finance for me which makes the process so easy. When I had my appointment Jordan Lewis was so helpful in taking me through the sale process and completing a full vehicle inspection but talking me through it as he went. I have just bought my first electric car from Arnold Clark and I just love driving it. I knew that I wanted a Kia E Nero and I went to Arnold Clark on the recommendation of my daughter who had recently bought a car from them and found the staff friendly and informative. I have never found buying a new car exciting as I have found some garages to have staff who can be quite intimidating and try to push extras onto you. Not so at Arnold Clark! Rico was our consultant and he was professional and informative, explaining everything in detail but not pushing any of the extras which I found very refreshing. The manager Dominic was very helpful in enabling me to make up my mind between different car choices and didn't make me feel awkward at all when I said having a white car as really important to me. The whole experience was positive from start to finish and yes I was excited when I went to pick up my new white E Nero 4! Jordan was amazing when I was selling my car , super helpful & helped me sort everything before selling as I had to transfer my personal plate on to retention and put the old plates on. Had to go back with my V5 when Jordan was off so he made sure to contact me when we was back in the office and kept me in the loop the full process. Even checking my car for me when I asked as I thought I had left something! The other staff weren’t that helpful .. when I would call they wouldn’t take a message or rebook me said just to wait on Jordan, or when I had to hand my v5 in there weren’t sure what to do with it & the new girl Jade who was lovely, wasn’t able to get any help or support from anybody else on the floor they all just seemed to say it wasn’t there problem really! My deal was carried by telephone with a Motorstore in England. I would advise caution when agreeing a part-exchange figure, so as to not be rushed into agreeing the amount. The first figure I was offered seemed too low to me, so I questioned why this was the case. I was informed that the data was showing no second key and uncertainty as to the number of previous owners. When I challenged these erroneous statements the salesperson took a pause for 20 seconds then returned accepting my version and offering me an additional £500. If I had not been on the ball, the deal would have gone through based on inaccurate information and I would have been £500 worse off. It does look a bit as if the ADD500 promotion gives with one hand but if AC can possibly claw it back with the other from un-suspecting customers then they will. In all other respects I was happy with how I was looked after by everyone involved in my purchase. In particular, full marks to Hollie and Arnold Clark Seafield Road. ROBIN LEACH

Went to collect a car that was bought on line from the Wigan branch of Arnold Clark, Joshua Tootill was very helpful from there describing the vehicle and giving us a video 'tour', and kept us informed of the progress of the car until it was at the click and collect showroom in Edinburgh. When we went to collect the car we were greeted by a very cheerful and friendly Hollie Dow who was equally helpful assisting us through the paperwork, and then showing us to the car, after a little bit of guidance as to the working of the car, making sure I felt comfortable in the driving seat, I drove from the showroom and had a short drive round Edinburgh. Cant thank Jacob enough for going above and beyond regards to finance and communication, this young man is very dedicated to ensure each of his customers are well looked after. We had moved address and were not showing to vote at our new address, and the standard Arnold Clark options were not suitable for us even when we have perfect credit histories. Jacob took the time to work with us and was sorted with our current finance provider, and in my opinion this should be an option for everyone who buys a car from Arnold Clark they would sell a lot more cars, great idea Jacob and a perfect outcome for us both. I understand salesmen work long hours, however Jacob came in on his day off to ensure everything was in order with our purchase. I think Arnold Clark should be proud of the work put in by this young man he made sure we were well catered for and feel anyone dealing with Jacob should be made aware of his great customer service skills. I only gave 4 stars (Jacob gets 5 stars though as this was not his fault but Arnold Clark policy) as I had purchased a full 3 year servicing package from Arnold Clark with the car I traded in and this was non transferable and only used one service means I was out of pocket by quite a lot and never purchased another service plan for this reason. Come on Arnold Clark, change the policy your customer are out of pocket by hundreds of pounds and you are loosing lots of additional work that may need carried out on these cars. I hope the branch manager is aware of Jacobs capabilities, you have a great member of staff and is the only reason I would come back.
