Excellent staff, very professional and efficient. From the initial contact that was made by phone to on the day. The follow up emails after first contact are a testimony to providing a bespoke service for the customer. Communication was very clear and helpful; answering all questions or queries. On the day, we were met by friendly professional staff who took us through the process, selecting the right model and colour combination. We got a good look inside the selected vehicle. This was followed by an accompanied test drive, saving us from getting lost. The test drive allowed us to get a feel of the car and the drive. We went onto different routes to test the car properly. When completing the paperwork, we were also offered a nice cup of tea and coffee. This was most welcomed given the time of day. I would definitely recommend Macklin Hyundai Edinburgh. Travelled up from Glasgow.

Had a great experience with Craig Wardlaw this afternoon inquiring about our next Motability car. He definitely knew his stuff and we didn't feel pressured into making a decision on the spot. Great banter too. He sent us a video of the model I was asking about and went through in detail every aspect of the car in a concise manner which was very helpful. The test drive experience was awesome and I'm surprised (but very happy) that he let us take it out on our own on any of the roads in the area. We have been looking for a while to upgrade our car to an SUV. Two small kids, dog the family vehicle needed to be spacious. Hyundai Tucson turned out to be the family choice as per our budget. We turned up at Macklin Motors at Edinburgh West on Calder Road and lucky enough to be met by a very welcoming General Manager, whose name we established to be Mr Arun Raghu. Arun was very accommodating, provided we turned up with two young kids and he kindly guided us to one his very competent Sales Executive Mr Kelson Homes. Kelson was supper efficient. He was very patient with us, provided we turned up with the kids, very knowledgeable and he certainly helped us find the perfect car we were looking within our budget. Although busy they made time to identify the problem and repair the puncture while I waited and at an extremely competitive rate. They then took the time to wash and vacuum the car. Albeit it wasn’t a good start to the experience, was sorted out by the GM Arun. Had my 2009 Hyundai Coupe TSiii booked in for a recall and on first appointment arrived, waited around for a few hours to just be told that the part is not in stock. Second appointment Arun made sure everything was sorted out and all parts were ordered. Car was returned within an hour and was squeaky clean. Would recommend to check with service before your appointment to make sure they have ordered the part.

Brought the car in at no notice with something seriously wrong with the front brakes. This was on a Sat so the service dept was not open. First thing Monday I got a call from the service team to ask what the issue was and they said they would try and look at it by the end of the day. This was despite me just dropping the car on them. The car also needed a 10 year service and this and the issue with the brakes was done by the end of the day. I asked for the brakes to be repaired (along with some other minor issues covered in the video sent me) and also the car needed an MOT. By the end of Tues this had all been completed. Very good service at very short notice.

I took my dad's car in for a service back in December. This was perhaps the 2nd or third time I did this and each time my booking in, in-branch, was with David Law. This time I asked for his business card so that I could comment here on his excellent customer service. David is polite, professional and very patient in taking the time to explain what work will be carried out...and on collection, what was discovered and the action taken. Superb experience. I bought a used i20, and was treated brilliantly. The salesman (Ross) listened to what I wanted and suggested a vehicle - it fits my needs perfectly. I have had the car for nearly three months and I'm super impressed with it. Once I had chosen the car and arranged a pickup date, everything went flawlessly. On the day of collection I was treated like a celebrity (remember this is a used car - not a new one!) and was shown over the car - all the controls etc. I was also told about service plans and gap insurance, and while these were explained to me I never felt pressured into making a decision whether to take them or not. Overall, it was a great experience buying the car, and I would do so again in the future. In fact, six month earlier my wife bought a car from Macklin at Calder Road, and was treated brilliantly too - it was for this reason that I went there to get my own car. Thankyou to all the team at Macklin from both of us.

Macklin Motors offer genuine help in the search for the right car for you. I'd been to several of the other big names first and effectively wasted my time with sales people who wanted to match me to their car rather than assist in finding the car right for me. It is a tricky sea to navigate and Macklin Motors got it just right. The usual sales patter was entirely missing and I felt absolutely zero pressure to buy - this works wonders for me and I'm sure it does you. Nothing puts me off more than a 'you must buy this today or lose out forever approach'. Instead, I had the time to think about things and come back another day, which I did and completed the sale. In the post sale period, Jacklin were also extremely helpful and contacted me to find out how I was getting on and any issues that they could help with, including de-mystefying some of the car's features. I found the salesperson to be both knowledgable and personable - not slick, well-oiled and seedy as can be the case elsewhere. In terms of the deal negotiated. Macklin were able to match their competitors and do as good a deal, if not better. Finally, I was in the service dept today with some further questions and the service I received was also very good, with the mechanic agreeing to help with one or two small teething issues - one of them being my own error, which was pointed out in a reassuring manner. I'm very happy with my experience and would definitely go back. There are several competitors who have not provided this level of service and whom I will avoid in future. Thanks again Macklin.

I have recently returned from Macklin Motors Hyundai Edinburgh West. I got a beautiful i20 from them, picked it up a week ago yesterday. I absolutely love the car, but when I got home I realised there were a couple of scuffs on the door edge that weren't immediately obvious, and that I hadn't noticed before. I haven't heard great things of car dealerships in general and so was expecting that they would not fix it. However, the sales representative Bradley, who sold me the car, was very understanding when I explained the issue, and said to bring the car in for a touch up a few days later. This has made all the difference- it looks fantastic now. I also had an issue with my tyre, realising that it had a nail in it and this was causing a slow puncture. When I mentioned this to Nigel, one of the managers, he arranged for the servicing team to repair it free of charge, on the same day. Overall, I had a really good sales experience with Bradley, he was very attentive (but not at all pushy) right from the start and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again. The team in general were also very helpful, specifically Nigel with the tyre situation. Thank you so much for your help, it is really appreciated!
