In this review I'll taIk about the sales process the aftercare & repairs, Autocare and my final thoughts. SALES Dean Armstrong was a gentleman and a pleasure to deal with. His knowledge was fantastic helping steer us towards the right cars for both me and my wife. The whole process from start to finish was very professional and I never felt as if I was being chased for a sale. It took 2 weeks for them to get a sale out of me from the first point of contact until signing the paperwork and during this time Dean worked with me by phone and email to suggest possible cars when they got close to what I was looking for I made an appointment to go talk face to face. I also got a very good deal on both cars so make sure to push them all the way. I would recommend you go to and speak with Dean because this young man is fantastic at his job and very patient. AFTERCARE & REPAIRS I bought 2 cars from here earlier this year. I have had a number of small problems with both cars but the issues were dealt with and fixed. The customer service and servicing team were very helpful and I got a courtesy car during the time my car was off the road. AUTOCARE WARRANTY (is it worth buying?) I had been told by people I knew that the Arnold Clark Autocare wasn't worth the paper it was printed on however already we have had an issue fixed and my car is currently booked in with Mercedes Glasgow to get 2 major parts replaced costing over £2000. So is it worth it, I think so! So for that added peace of mind maybe having this cover is a good idea after all. It doesn't cover everything of course but now that I've experienced needing it I've seen for myself that it does cover quite a lot of parts on the car that can go wrong. FINAL THOUGHTS I moved away from Arnold Clark due to a couple of bad experiences in the past but it proves that giving them a final chance has worked out ok. I'm sure they aren't perfect in every department but what car business is? However this time round it seems that they have made things better and their sale experience is the reason I opted to go with them this time round.

Probable the most friendly Arnold Clark garage i have used. Car in for service i chose to stay and wait for it to be completed. Staff were aware i had been sitting waiting my choice and ask how i was. Amazed to find it has a well stocked cafeteria that takes card payments. I had the full breakfast 5 stars price and quality. Spent some time browsing the cars on display all sales staff left me alone but were pleased to answer any questions i had without trying to hard or soft sell. I purchased a car last week from this dealership last week and I can honestly say that this is the best service that I have ever received when purchasing a car. I dealt with Dean in the dealership and the attention to detail, the willingness to do everything he could for me blew me away. On top of that, he was just a nice guy too, I felt relaxed when I was sat there and it didn’t feel like I was being sold anything. I saw a C-class I was interested in and called Arnold Clark. I was put through to Harry Macha who answered all the questions I had about the car. I was coming up from Birmingham so I reserved the car and because I was 99% confident about the car I got my finance arranged on the day too - call it risky but trust me the video of the car and pictures showed the car was immaculate. Lo and behold when I physically saw and drove the car, it was immaculate and lush! Interestingly, on the way to Glasgow all the cars had Arnold Clark stickers on so this instilled me with confidence that I was going to the right car dealership. Big shout out to Harry Macha who is one of the better car sales consultants I've come across in a while! He answered all my questions, had a few jokes and didn't force me to buy every single add-on although I did buy a few extras like the VSI and warranty - their prices are pretty good! Overall it's a chilled and inviting place to be. There's a large open-space coffee area and the other sales consultants are friendly and helpful. Lastly massive thanks to Harry for the suggestion on a good food spot - the Kebabish on Victoria Rd was delicious! Cheers fella!

I saw the car I wanted on line and reserved it before coming to the south street branch. This gave me peace of mind that I wasn't going to loose out before I got the chance to get through to the branch at the weekend. I was met by Alan Sharp who was friendly and personable. Some of my previous, car buying, experiences I have found the dealer to be overbearing but Alan listened and was very professional. I made up my mind to buy the car after a quick test drive. We purchased a Mitsubishi Outlander 5 weeks ago and was astonished to read these poor reviews and don't understand the previous reviews as all we received was professional service from all staff. Everyone said hello and asked if we were being attended to if our salesperson was away getting some information we had asked for and the reception staff always had a smile and polite manner whenever we arrived at the showroom. Our salesperson phoned us after the purchase to make sure everything was OK and how many times do you have to be shown the details of the instruments! Part of the fun in buying a new car is to get the manual out and investigate for yourself. We would definitely buy out next car from this showroom and suggest to other satisfied customers to correct these unworthy reviews in our opinion.

What can I say, customer beware the vulture salesman (sorry, product advisor...) wishing to peck away at the bones of what's left of your bank account as you sign up for a PCP deal to add yet another direct debit to your already drowning bank account to impress people you don't know with a shiny new car (sorry again, nearly new ex rental or courtesy vehicle). But that part out of the road, they have a lot of cars to choose from, lots of finance to offer you, interests rates dependant on how well you deal with money, low for prudent people and high for the debt ridden. Sure they offer paint protection, interior protection, insurance, gap insurance, servicing plans, extended warranties, finance... So it's a wonderland of add-ons. But again it does offer a wide array of vehicles at prices and a guy that sure to annoy you by the time you leave. And if you do finally get round to... Buying... Leasing... Kinda a car, I'm sure you'll be happy with your purchase, I was several times over the years, because like you I'll never learn that a new car makes everything better!

Went into showroom on Saturday the 20th April for my Ford Fiesta's two year free service at MacHargs in South Street. Whilst I was waiting, I thought I would take a browse in the used car part of the dealership to take a peek at what cars they had for sale. I saw a lovely Mercedes A class which I have been wanting for some time but had thought to myself, I'll wait a few months more to get another car. I was about to walk away when I got talking to a car salesman called Alan Sharp. He is obviously very good at his job because before you know it he is talking me round to signing up for a new car and before I left the showroom I had applied for my finance. Alan is very knowledgeable, cheery and knows his stuff when it comes to cars. I am one very happy customer as I picked my lovely new car up yesterday (Wednesday the 24/04/19) which was extremely quick and am loving the fact of driving and having a Mercedes which I have always wanted. Only drawback was day after i picked it up i checked the coolant and oil and they where at minimum. I phoned the afore mentioned salesman and he has booked it in for free service. Theres not many places to buy a new car that isn't part of the Arnold Clark group, but saying that the sales men are very pleasant and informative! If you have a problem with your new car they will take the car in and resolve it! They also give you a courtesy call a few days after the sale to check how things are with the car.

This is a large car sales facility with a large customer turnover. There are various car sales departments, both manufacturers new sales and also their car sales supermarket. With this in mind, there are plenty of sales staff at hand to help assist with any questions. My only concern is with the location of the facility as it is on a busy and well used road, which has caused much road damage and created many pot holes. Extra care is required when manoeuvring around the local area.
