I have been using Monarch Garage ever since my Land Rover Defender needed a new engine. John took me through the process step by step being completely honest about what needed done and he completed the engine refit faster than i would ever expected - John and his team are true professionals and i wouldn't take my Land Rover anywhere else.
Since the engine refit i have also had other parts added with the same customer service and approach. In my eyes making you feel welcome is very important for return custom and that they do.
His friendly reception team always go above and beyond when enquiring about new parts, coming back with quotes and getting you booked in asap.
I would highly recommend John and his team and have never doubted the service they offer.

Wish I had only known about John and the guys before now! Helped me massively with getting my RR back to full health with a full strip down and rebuild of the car to almost new! Charlotte kept me informed every step of the way, love the texts and emails keeping me informed, and the experience and knowledge really comes through when you get the car back! Full facilities comparable to main dealer, not just another garage who says they know the brand, totally looked after start to finish. Would recommend and I'll be using them only from now on! First time using this garage and i would def recommend to others.
I had called the garage for a repair and they managed to fit me in the next day.
The garage seemed very busy with many cars being worked, but I still managed to get my car back quite quickly.
John was very helpful and took time to explain what needed done etc. Even when collecting the car he showed the damage that was done and parts changed.

I can’t say enough about the guys at Monarch, they consistently impress me with their knowledge of Land Rovers. My husband and I bring both of our cars here, we wouldn’t take our cars anywhere else! Whenever our cars are in, the garage will keep us up to date with everything and the manager takes time to talk us through what was wrong and how it was fixed. Also, as a long time customer at Monarch, I have to add in that I’m super impressed with the new garage premises, John and the team should be super proud of themselves 10/10 👍🏻

Excellent customer service. These guys really know Land Rovers. Not only fixed my Series 3, but advised me of a few other issues that needed attention. They're happy to explain things thoroughly and answer questions. The facilities at the new garage are great. I've tried a few other garages locally in the past, and wouldn't trust them with my vehicle again; but I have every confidence in the team at Monarch Garage and have been very happy with their work over the last few months.

A well known Land Rover dealership could not find a fault in my car when it would not start. John at Monarch Garage took it in at short notice and fixed the problem. I rarely post excellent reviews as I rarely receive service which merits it. However John and his team are this rarity. The service was exceptional, John kept me informed of progress at all stages and at a very reasonable cost.

I took my 21year old defender 110 station wagon to Monarch for a MOT and service. John inspected it and showed me on the ramp everything that needed done. I was able to go and seeit during repairs andhis mechanics showed me all the damaged parts that they had removed and explained what they were doing. Once finished it drives and sounds like a different vehicle. will certainly go back for future services and repairs.

Like the gentleman in the reviews below I had previously been to my local retailer who Unfortunetly couldn't get my car in for an urgent repair that day due to the work load they already had booked , which is understandable.
One of the guys told me about Monarch Garage where John kindly dropped everything they were doing to help out realising the urgent nature of my repair.
Whilst I still hold my local retailer in high regard, John and the team at Monarch offer a superb local service and have extensive knowledge in Land Rover.
Excellent alternative to the dealers for 3 year + vehicles.

I believe that the 2 most important characteristics in maintenance of a Land Rover are:-
(1) Expert knowledge and ability to diagnose and fix an actual problem.
(2) Honesty, good faith and commitment on the part of the garage assessing and solving any such complex problem.
That is exactly what I got from Monarch:- honesty, expert knowledge, commitment and proper repairs at a fair price. It was a totally positive and satisfactory customer experience.
I had recently bought a Discovery 3 from a Glasgow (non Land Rover) second hand dealership and it was an unreliable, problematic nightmare.
After Monarch fixed it, it was a totally different vehicle and a pleasure to drive. For those simple reasons, I would recommend Monarch to any Land Rover owner.
They put the car up on the ramp and assessed it as I watched; and they rapidly found the faults and showed me exactly why it was so noisy and poor in handling.
Monarch highlighted that there was play of about 4-5 inches on the back offside wheel. I was told that the car was not safe for the roads. That was certainly and unquestionably true.
Monarch was also frank and transparent in terms of the work needed and costs. Being extensive, the work (and parts) were not cheap, however, Monarch provided me with a detailed quotation and honoured it in every sense. I had full opportunity to see the defects clearly at first hand before the work; and the parts were retained for my inspection.
The difference in the car is that of night and day. I now have a car that is safe and that I can have confidence in.

I was left disappointed with the customer service from the dealership where I bought my Range Rover. I had been repeatedly let down and after I had an issue with my gearbox, was told they were fully booked and wouldn't be able to get my car in for about 7-8 weeks!!!
I searched google for an alternative and found Monarch Garage. I chanced my luck and gave them a call, and I'm very glad I did. Excellent customer service, every member of staff I spoke to was helpful and the owner took the time to tell me in detail exactly what was wrong with my car and what was required to fix it. Got my car back, good as new, and I didn't have to wait 2 months for it either!!

Just had a mechanical inspection done to look over a recently purchased L322. Monarch produced a detailed report (taking around 3.5hrs) and John was available to talk me through some of the suggested work.
This was my first use of Monarch - I definitely would go back. The advice seemed to be honest and a true representation of the condition of my L322. The premises are smart and well looked after and judging by the variety of other Land Rovers in at the time, they seem to be well regarded even by those with current (new) models.

Really disheartening to see people leaving bad reviews against Monarch Garage!! Every time I have stepped foot in the place, even before they were in the new building, I have been treated with the utmost respect, staff were happy and pleasant. I've had trouble in the past with taking my Landy to people who acted like they knew how to fix it but simply just made matters worse!! The guys here are some of the most honest and genuine people in the business, the owner has never over sold me work, just told me what was needed to fix the problems. The experience these guys have is astounding, you know straight away from speaking to them and walking into the new garage that they know their stuff!!
So please dont be misled by other unfavourable reviews, there are two sides to every story but I hate to see a small business with hard working people get hit with slander for no reason other than pettiness!!
Fantastic Land Rover garage, genuine work, amazing premises - would recommend you give these guys a call!!!!!

My Defender was looking a bit tired and needed some general maintenance both mechanically and to the bodywork. Monarch is an Aladdin's cave for Landrover enthusiasts! John took time to discuss and show what was doable in terms of bodywork, maintenance and some upgrading. He and his team worked to my budget . Car looked amazing and engine now running beautifully.
