I made a shortlist of the cars I found in Autrader and ranked them according to my preference. I decided to ring Shakespeare Street Garage first and spoken with Tony to schedule a test drive which he also gave me a brief description of the car over the phone. I travelled from South East London to Lincoln, with high hopes that it was worth the journey. I was happy with the condition of the car which is exactly how it was described on the advert. We have recently had excellent service from the sales team. As part of the part-ex, our old car was thoroughly checked over. The garage were keen not to take on a 'duffer'! My car was taken here due to my gear box having a fault. I spoke to a lady on reception, Tori, who was so professional and lovely to speak to, she really helped me with my situation. She offered me the towing of my car to be free to the garage (due to me being located in town), she also informed me of prices etc etc, and I was assured I would have a courtesy car available if my car wasn't ready for me, fortunately my car was done the same day! Shakespeare Street Motors had exactly what we were looking for, an immaculate used Mazda MX5 roadster. The garage was much bigger than we thought and was very busy but we were soon seen by Gary. Gary wasn’t at all pushy but friendly and efficient. A test drive endeared us to the car and we agreed a deal, which included an AA 3 month warranty, a year’s breakdown cover. a full service and an MOT test. Gary was very helpful in ensuring we could collect the car sooner than arranged to avoid the second lockdown. When we went to collect the car we found that it had been prepared to a very high standard all the documents had been prepared and the tank even had plenty of petrol in it! Shakespeare Street Motors may lack the glitz, glamour and the pushy salesmen of most main dealers but they do excel in what matters most; good communication, quality of service and honesty. Every time I have taken my car here the work has always been something simple and I've always been given a fair price. Fantastic garage and fantastic good quality cars. This is the second car we have brought from Shakespeare, our first car was brought 2 years and ago and we've had no issues with that one and we've just purchased our second car from Shakespeare. All the cars are given MOTs and services (if needed) before they are handed over to you. The staff at Shakespeare are friendly and welcoming. They will also answer any and all questions you have and they will give you time to look around the car of interest or all the cars available and they will give you plenty of time to decide on your car. We will happily return to Shakespeare garage to buy our next car in the future and we would definitely recommend shakespear garage to anyone looking to buy a car themselves.

I’m very reliant on my car for work. When my brakes needed urgent work, the staff at this garage went out of their way to work around my needs and provided a curtesy car at no extra cost. When I left my SatNav holder in the curtesy car, staff again went out of their way to return it to me the same day. I honesty’s cannot rate the service here high enough! The work on the car was also done quickly and all costs were checked with me before going ahead. Easily the best garage experience I’ve ever had!

Just before Christmas I had a crisis with my car. I drove it (about 30 mins out of Lincoln) turned it off and it never started again. After exploring the local garages (I am new to the area) I found that Shakespeare Garage was willing to help me collect my car and attempted to repair it. Unfortunately, my 2001 Mazda Demio was no longer reliably turning on every time. I therefore decided to part exchange my car with one at Shakespeare garage. I was very short for time as I had to drive down to the South of France for Christmas (the whole 13 hours of driving had to be done within a day of buying the car!!!). I am not a car person but with Tony's help I felt very comfortable buying a car (Seat Mii) from Shakespeare Garage and driving it so far! Tony ensured all the necessary checks were made to get the vehicle in tip top condition for my travels. He even changed parts at no extra cost. I have since travelled to France, then Andorra and back to the UK ( 3000 miles + ) since I brought it a month ago and I have had 0 problems. I would definitely recommend this Garage to my friends and family. The service I received was truly excellent.

I have used this garage for some years, following word of mouth recommendations. I have always found the staff friendly, and fully up to a bit of banter - give and take always works! Really pleased with the car and Gary was very helpful and professional. We appreciated his help with registering the car for tax. Only one thing to that we would have preferred - we asked Gary to put two new front tyres on the car as they were worn. When we collected the car, he had done this, but when driving home the road noise was appalling, and after taking it to a garage near home, they said it was because of the tyres which were budget and directional which created excess road noise. We subsequently changed the tyres for better quality that were more suitable for the car and every day use. We would have preferred it if Gary would have given us the option to upgrade to a better tyre and we would have paid the difference, which would have saved us time and money. .......................................................................................................................... As a follow up to the above, Tony has contacted me and has offered me a contribution as a goodwill gesture towards the new tyres we purchased.
