I took my not so new Cali van to Lookers Battersea to get a battery issue sorted. The service was absolutely incredible from my initial contact with Mitch in the phone to Richard in the workshop. The environment is spotless, full updates via text during the day and they even washed the van (which had been camping the weekend before and needed a wash!). Great experience.

Lots! First, your survey tool is weak. It vanished after I got halfway through, and I had to start again. It should save as it goes along so I can return to it if that happens. Second I found Jack Ormond of Lookers in Battersea most helpful and approachable Third, the sale process I experienced was not as good a Toyotas’. I have had six Prius, so know what I am saying. For example, Lookers failed to mention GuardX, and once the contract was complete and the car delivered, I could not find anyone to apply it, including Lookers. After pressing Jack Ormond, he agreed to apply GuardX but without any guarantees! Why? Because the contract was complete and it was too difficult to unravel the paperwork. Fourth, the ID3 has two C connections for mobile phone charging but no USB socket except via a lighter converter in the boot. It, therefore, needs a C to C cable, which should be built into the sale offer and not as an afterthought. Fifth, it is almost impossible to get through to the VW Looker’s Service in Wimbledon. They admit they are having problems, but it does nothing to enhance VW’s reputation. Sixth, the car comes without mats. That is simply a false economy.

Gave 5 stars but changed to 3 stars because I was told 2 hours for MOT but it went well over and I said to let me know if there's a delay as I have an appointment. So I missed my appointment and the car took over 3 hours. It was suppose to have been valeted, that's why it took long but it was still dirty. Not happy at all today!!

Booking was an easy, straight forward process. Some additional necessary work was referred to me for prior approval. I was kept informed about progress and completion of the work so I could plan when to collect my car. Had to buy a car during this lockdown as the old car had died. I’d been looking around online for months and saw a polo I really liked at this branch. It’s a very nerve racking experience buying a car over the phone without having seen or test driven it, but it is what it is right now. All of the staff at this branch were super helpful, Junior in particular. I got 2 years warranty and breakdown cover with my car for peace of mind. It was a really straightforward transaction and all the paperwork was sent to me before I picked up the car. Once there, Junior was really helpful with everything and showed me how to use all the gadgets in the car. Just wanted to say thank you for making this a really painless experience during these unusual times...I’m really happy with the car, so far so good!

My car wasn't washed like my previous service. I was told they have no cleaners, but I observed every single car washed and shined for collection by other customers so I'm very disappointed about this. I also requested for my rear window wiper to be changed on booking my service, on the collection of the vehicle I was told they dont have any in stock, I believe this should of been ordered before hand at point of booking. I wasnt called when my car was ready I was the one who came to see if its ready at 5.30pm and then told its completed and wasn't washed or anything like other customers vehicles.

Bought an ID3 from them. was sold without the available software updates. The car itself has so many issues with holding charge, the 12v batter drain etc. And now, I am asked to bring back my car for a software update and they might need to keep the car for 2 days. No courtesy vehicle during this time (citing COVID excuses) and forcing paying customers to risk it in an Uber or public transport! Edit: spoke to a representative post this review. I agreed with them that the overall sales and service was extremely good and professional. They agreed to their fault on the only aspect which prompted the one star review and agreed to take the matter up internally. Overall it was a five star for sales and service and I docked one star for not offering the courtesy car in a risk time such as this.

To be quite honest I’ve had nothing but first class stellar service from these guys. I first ordered a VW polo 2 years ago on an offer that came with 1 years free insurance. They hooked me up with a decent package and I was able to haggle a little. When it came to upgrading to the Golf last year I got an even sweeter deal. Not old did I get the model above the one I ordered. I got it 2 months earlier. They send a video is your car being serviced. And they don’t mind you coming round to steal a cup of coffee or even a chat. The team are really helpful and put you in touch with the right people if there’s anything you need help with. I can honestly say it’s the best showroom I’ve been to. And I’ve had a few new cars in my lifetime. Only downside is, the garage is abut far away and it’s in the middle of nowhere in Wimbledon, but they offer to collect your car and drop it off of you like.

Generally very helpful and pleasant staff. Most staff will engage and say hello. They have an efficient system for dropping off and collect your car for servicing and problems. My brand new golf (bought from another dealership) was having electrical issues, and despite my frustrations, everyone at the Battersea branch was helpful and diffused the frustration. At all times, they were clear on what work needed doing, how much it was going to cost (if not warranty) and how long it was expected to take. The service team called me to update me regularly. This has definitely become my preferred branch. They will drop me off and pick me up from Clapham junction when they have my car. My only recommendation would be to have someone at reception until the end of the day. I’ve found that getting in contact with reception after 5:30pm can be difficult. Which is a pain if I was expecting a pick up from the station.

Having spent quite a significant amount of time in car sales forecourts recently, I can honestly say that Lookers set themselves apart. I was in the market for an SUV, and bought my polo here 6 years ago. Ryan was great in terms of listening to me, asking good questions, showing a genuine interest, and was reasonable when negotiating price. The service received was great, the test drives were a good length and he answered all my questions as best he could, being honest when he didn't know (always easy to tell when someone is being liberal with the truth). He did a great job considering he had only worked in sales for a few months. The only advice I would give is perhaps focus less on the 'sales process' as that will come, and focus more on depth of knowledge on your products. If you are passionate about these, the selling is natural. I'd also say that the service department at Lookers is exceptional - excellent at communicating, adhering to deadlines, and being good human beings. This sounds odd to say, but they did factor into my sales decision, and although I did not buy a VW, I am left wondering/concerned about the service department at my new place!

The new showroom is very nice, most of the staff I have dealt with have been friendly. The reason why I have not given this showroom a 5 star is, when I dropped my car off they did not go round the car with me for damages, 1 hour later when I left they informed me that they have done it, but did not show it to me. On the day of the collection 31/01/2019, the car had marks on the body panels, which I did not have before when I dropped the car off, as I always take the car for a wash before going for any services or repairs. So when I ask service and car booking guys downstairs to view their recording or their damage log sheet I was faced with all the excuses, after waiting around for about 40minutes, i left disappointed, but hopeful they might email me atleast after leaving my email address to have the recording or damage log email to me, I even emailed the two people involved on this matter directly and a waited over a week for a response, but to no surprise they have choosen to ignore my request. Which has now resulted in me leaving this review. My advice to anyone taking their vehicle for a service or a repair at this branch or any other VW Franchise is: DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL THEY HAVE GONE AROUND YOUR VEHICLE WITH YOU, FOR EXISTING DAMAGES ON DROP OFF & HAVE GIVEN YOU A COPY OF IT, SO THAT IT CAN BE COMPARED WHEN YOUR VEHICLE IS COLLECTED. AS I HAVE NOW EXPERIENCED THIS FROM THIS DEALERSHIP & 'ALAN DAY'S'. They have also marked the car on the invoice as having a complementary wash & Vac. Which is very dishonest as mentioned above I brought it in with the car cleaned in & out and fragranced.

A great experience. We popped in on Saturday on a bank holiday weekend in desperate need / hoping to get a roof rack. On arrival we were told the person we needed to talk to had left for the weekend! We bumped into Shaun the man in question just as he was packed up and ready to go and enjoy his long break. He then proceeded to help find the right rack for us which took at least half an hour and did so which such welcoming, thoughtful and professional mannerism. We truely felt he went above and beyond to help us that weekend and must have had better things to run off to do instead of helping us out in his own time. A true asset of VW.
