After returning home with the car we rang the garage with a small query and were Told someone would call us back 3 weeks later We’ve still had no call back. Not Sure I’d deal work lookers again.

After sales no help whatsoever. Was deceived about the road tax. Told I'd pay my £20 as per previous car. Only noticed payments coming out of bank account weeks later. Got some refund, but stuck for next cple of years. Noticed gouged marks on door. It was fixed immediately & given a courtesy car while job was done. However, then told dodgy tyre after only 7 months with very very low mileage & over a month off the road due to an injury. Door lock not working for ages. Now waiting for parts after being in twice. All in all, this recent car purchase hasnt gone too well.

Although the concern that the vehicle was recovered for seems to be rectified, I was not impressed that when I lifted the bonnet to carry out my own visual check I was a bit dismayed to find a battery lead cover sitting on the front scuttle under the screen. On driving it back home I also had a smell of burning oil coming through the the vents. Having served my time within the motor trade and now teaching motor vehicle skills, one of the points I try to get across is to make sure that the job is right so there is positive customer satisfaction. I believe this may be an isolated instance but I will be carrying out a full inspection when I return back to work to make sure all is okay underneath the vehicle. I understand the pressures service departments are under, but again I was not impressed that I had to call Skoda assist to get my vehicle booked in for the eml light on condition as the earliest dealer appointment was not for two weeks.The question is are you expecting customers to drive vehicles with this sort of condition, I think a early simple code reading to collect data to make a diagnostic assessment to alleviate any stress is prudent rather than cause any further damage

Great experience dealing with Michael in purchasing our Enyaq. We found Michael and the team very professional, pro-active and very easy to deal with. We live quite a distance away, the personalised videos of the car and speed in responding to any questions we had was the best of any dealership of any car brand we have dealt with in the past. We purchased a nearly new car from Lookers in 2019. Service was generally fairly good, and we didn’t have any concerns over the service provided on purchasing. Unfortunately, we’ve had a few issues with the after sales. We purchased the additional wheel and tyre cover, and hoped not to need it, but with the two-tone wheels on the VRS being expensive to refurb, we decided it was a decent investment. The problems arose when we needed to make a claim on the cover, we were told that due to an error, we only had tire cover, despite the receipt advising wheel and tyre. We’ve now been trying for more than 8 months to get this resolved, and we’re at the point now where the sales rep, Michael, won’t even call us back to discuss. Between myself and my wife, we’ve called and mailed well over 2 dozen times and not been able to get this resolved. At this point, it looks like lost money, but probably worth a review to highlight to others the issues and that the after sales isn’t too good, sadly. It’s a shame as Lookers VW a bit further down the road have been great with their after sales care. Edit : We did eventually get this resolved, thanks to Paul Stead from Lookers for sorting, and I've altered my review to suit. It's still not been an ideal situation to have to chase so much for something that should have been simple, but at least we did get there in the end. It would still make me a slightly reluctant to deal with them, but I wouldn't rule them out for the right car.

When we arrived at the showroon to collect the car Neil was busy but we were not left unattended to, we were greeted by another member of staff and invited to sit in the waiting area and served coffee. We found everyone to be proffessional and Neil had an honest approach and did not put any pressure on us at all to buy the car. Several call backs (after meetings) I failed to get through to salesperson I was looking for, and didn't get a timely call back afterwards. Nobody asked if they could deal with me. Also when my circumstances changed and I decided I would not be buying for a few months, I didn't get a simple recognition email. It doesn't reflect well on you in terms of service and genuineness. Where while there was a potential sale attempted contact was unabating.

I've been taking my Skoda here for servicing for the past five years. Never had any problems with the staff or the servicing. They even fixed a punctured tyre for free one day when I was caught short! They're happy to distill down the technical details into a simple explanation of what does and doesn't need to be done, staff are friendly and happy to help, and when something goes wrong (once had a faulty water pump installed after a cam belt change) they'll go above and beyond to fix it.

Friendly staff but they don’t even bother to wash or vacuum your car as advertised in a service and you pay the pricey service but I did get a 50p air freshener this time. Can never get parked in a bay so can only assume they churn through a lot of cars. Only come here because I have to.

Why, oh why is it so difficult to get through to the actual place you need to speak to? The staff at Railway St and the service they provide are excellent, but the phone numbers on the various websites rarely lead you straight to them. This makes the booking experience more cumbersome and less personal than it could be.
