I recently purchased a BMW X1 with the trim and colour I’d been long searching for. I reserved online and received a personalised video. The video was very thorough and gave me the confidence to travel the 166 miles from Kent. I arrived and found the staff welcoming at Capitol Skoda Newport. From a sales perspective, it wasn’t pushy, and felt I was being served rather than sold to. Bottom line is that I would recommend them to my nearest and dearest (and seek out Lewis Thompson, if available). All in all, I found the experience wholly positive.

I'm not one to normally leave reviews but on this occasion I really need to as my buying experience through Capitol Skoda (Richard specifically) has exceeded all expectations. I had already got quotes from a well known car buying site but popped in as it is my local dealer and I thought I would give them chance to sell me a car. Based on experiences with other local dealerships I wasn't expecting much but I have been genuinely blown away. Not only was the price for the car more than competitive, the level of professionalism and communication from Richard was amazing. He listened to all of my needs, answered all of my questions without any BS and was genuine and respectful throughout. I hate buying cars normally and it's rare than I can spend more than 5 minutes with the average car 'salesman' without wanting to impart violence, but Richard actually made the experience enjoyable. I'll be back again when I get bored of this car, without a doubt!

Just had our car serviced for the 1st time. What a nice and easy experience, we were able to book it in quickly (as it should have been done in March, but given the restrictions we waited.) When we called, we were booked in within a few days at a date to suit us and offered a courtesy car, although we didn't need one this time. On the day, the showroom was clearly designated to ensure safety. WIthin a few h ours we had a call to say there was a vide of what work had been done. Completely shattered the image of car sales staff being pushy and uninterested, a credit to the dealership and to Skoda. The dealership is easily accessible, clean, modern and welcoming. Majority of paperwork was done online electronically and communication was on point, ensuring that I never had to step foot in the dealership until absolutely necessary. If you have reservations about buying a vehicle or servicing in the current climate then dont. They have adapted very well to limitations and have measures in place to ensure the safety of the public and their staff. Had my car keyed and the petrol cap door ripped off, my first claim in 13 year's, very happy with the repair work but feel the damage to the paintwork around the petrol cap door should have also been sprayed or at least touched up, a minor cosmetic detail until rust sets in, overall very happy with the work that was carried out, only gripe is the poor attention to detail , bottle of tcut might do the job but for the sake of spraying an extra panel feel that it could have been repaired on the claim
