Car quality is very good. Picking the car up took longer than originally told as half the paperwork hadn't been done by the sales guy... Pat however was excellent and easy to deal with but had to clearly clean up after the sale to make sure all was in order... hence the delays .. overall service and car is great but the sales guy needs some help getting his sales in order to drive up customer journey as oppose to just worrying about landing the deal and leaving a mess for others... lesson to be learned here ... "sales through service, not ego".

So good we bought one, and as it goes it's good with little pre- sale bodging to correct with clay bar and polish. Just a shame the roof aerial went missing before collection! Wasn't overly clear at the start where the entrance was in terms of if you had to go into the main building or where the cars were only to find that when heading towards the cars they were actually part of an auction site next door so a little bit awkward and embarrassed which is never a good start. The sales person who took us through to show us the Motorpoint vehicles did mention in passing that there was a on site facility for tea coffee and soft drinks and just mention his name. Maybe something for them to consider in the future is to actually take people to that area and get them their first drink so they've got that by the wandering around and looking but I can understand that they might not want people wondering amongst the cars carrying hot drinks. We were told that most cars are open so we can look inside and sit in for me that was going to be my priority because I suffer with chronic arthritis in both knee caps and a lower back condition meaning I need to know so that I can actually get in and out of any vehicle before I even consider it. Sadly most of the cars that I wanted to get in, to check them out, were locked and whilst the young man had said, if I that was the case, just take a picture of of the the info in the the car window and he would organise the keys I I wanted to just go with the flow and open the door get in check it out move on and then narrow down my choice is as it happened I was only able to get into one vehicle that would have met my criteria so overall not a great experience

Okay here we go after spending time at main dealers mercedes and landrover who by the way are very much money orientated and less focus on the customer and not delivering good service at all. I was pleasantly surprised by the service I received from motorpoint,firstly the px price given without seeing my car and upholding to this when seeing her ( she was out of the box mind) way more than those other dealers mentioned. And the car we hadn't seen until pick up due to being transported from Widnes down to Newport, it was prepped and cleaned and impressed with the standard overall. One critical criticism it was a deal that envolved a substantial amount of money back to us which took a week to come back to us and constant chasing I was shocked and apprehensive about leaving with out our money however it did arrive. Would like that part of there buisness streamlined and quicker.

I took my Landcruiser back for a suspect caliper failure which is a common fault on the big trucks due to their heavy weight etc. I was pleasantly surprised to hear that all parts on a braking system with air suspension were in good working order. The checks and monitoring prove it's a worthwhile exercise and Toyota are excellent in that respect. The technicians ably led by Ian are thorough and this gives you piece of mind when driving such a beast in the heart of the Brecon Beacons with roads which are frequently 1:4 slippery ( mud. water or ice in winter) and would virtually be classed as off road compared with the surrounds of Newport. Thank you to the Toyota Maesglas workshop and in particular to the new Service Manager Gareth Hemmens who impressed me with his consideration for my concerns regarding the vehicle. Thank you Toyota.

We knew what we wanted and found the right car at an extremely good price. We also thought they would give a low part exchange price on our car but the price was more or less what we expected. There was no pressure to buy and Alex was very patient -even when we returned the following day when the car had been valeted as it had not previously been prepared. I would highly recommend Motorpoint in Newport. The cars are in excellent condition and are organised into Zones, so it is easier to look through the stock. Keys are logged out and handed to you so you can look properly at the cars you are interested in, without the pressure of having a member of staff with you. The staff are however extremely friendly & not at all pushy. I do not like pushy car sales at all and it was a nice experience to be able to get advise without a sale pitch. I dealt with John, who was very helpful and made the whole process simple. Liam who dealt with the financial/legal part equally made this part straightforward. I part exchanged and drove away with my new car within a few hours. John & Liam went the extra mile and took my belongings out of my old car and into my new. Great Service! Thank you both!

We had an absolute blast car shopping yesterday. Went in as we needed a new car and ended up buying one there and then. The process is great and you are very much left to your own devices when looking at the cars (unless you would like advice). When we had decided on the car, we were helped by an absolute gent, Ayrton who talked us through all of the options and various things that we had to be aware of. Got our car insurance and taxed the car all very easily. We were then passed to another colleague in the payments department who helped us buy. Michael was a legend and despite problems with our bank, sat with us through it for an hour and a half. Overall, the entire team at motor-point Newport are fantastic, friendly and we even were treated to a bacon sarnie and coffees whilst we waited. Would massively recommend and a big shout out to the two above who were so helpful.

Their approach to the customer is no pressure and have a good look at what they have on sale. The cars are sourced rental and lease company's having done low mileage and are really presented to a very high standard. Most vehicles come with the remaining manufacturers warranty. Didn't have what I was for this time but enjoyed couple of hours there.

Although I have purchased 36 cars during my lifetime, I was never tempted to purchase from Motorpoint until I found the precise car I was looking for on their website. Unlike many of the main dealers, mainly BMW and Mercedes, the deal was particularly straightforward. I was treated with courtesy and respect. I was pleasantly surprised with the levels of their customer service. Given their vast turnover of stock, I didn't expect the vehicle to be expertly cleaned so I was not disappointed when I collected it. Its a very minor point in the whole scheme of things. Would I buy another car from them? Yes, of course I would. Their cars are competitively priced and my experience demonstrated that the customer service was equal to if not better than the prestige dealerships.

We bought a van there but in all honesty this place has a "conveyor belt" feel about it. I don't care how many people come through the door of my place - each and everyone is made to feel valued and their business is always appreciated. One guy (forget his name but, by all accounts, he's from South Africa) definitely needed a personality overhaul

It's very nice but not disability friendly they had parking bay that wasn't marked on the road clearly and able body drivers just abused. Inside looks clean and tidy but no welcome till we were going through door to look at cars .. then told about a welcome pack. ( weren't given one though) it's nice your not pestered but it would help if on windscreen cars were labelled Auto.. you can only see inside a car if you go back inside with details however they were all far too busy which is not a bad thing but not helpful towards customers that have never visited before.. Oh customer lifts were out of order so couldn't even get a drink as unable to climb stairs hence 3 stars ... If you are perfectly able to walk distances and climb stairs totally recommend as the cars are nice and it is very pleasant in the office and clean from what I saw .

Visited on Tuesday the 23rd of Jan 2018, thought being a week day that it would quite but unfortunately not. Had to wait for some time for a sales rep to become free but didn't mind this. I actually preferred it as nothing worse than being hounded by sales reps. It was refreshing to be left to it. They have a system where you just ask for the keys for the car that your interested in and your allowed to look at it by yourself and in your own time. Sales staff very friendly and professional as was the finance staff. Plenty of choice at very good prices. Bought myself a new car and now going back on Sunday to buy my wife one.

I bought a bmw 420d on the 27/01/2020 from the Newport branch in South Wales. I found the whole buying experience to be excellent. The salesperson, Nikki was not pushy at all and explained all processes in great detail. The car was everything I wanted but had an issue that has left a slightly bitter taste. I had cause to return to the branch, about a week later to deliver the log book for my previous vehicle. I took the opportunity to raise a fault on the vehicle with customer care staff. The fault related to the rain/light sensor on the windscreen. The light function works well but the rain does not work at all. This means that there is no intermittent wiper function. The on site technician took a quick look but I was advised by Nikki to take the car to BMW for them to have a look. The vehicle is still under warranty so I made an appointment with Sytner BMW in Cardiff. The vehicle was examined and the technician advised me that the windscreen had been replaced with a windscreen that was not a genuine BMW part. For this reason the rain sensor will not work. The technician advised that a replacement genuine BMW windscreen would be required to rectify the fault and this is not covered under the existing warranty. Although I am happy with the buying experience and the car in general, the fault leaves me a little disappointed. Any advice on what to do next ??

The whole process was incredibly easy and the modern zero-pressure approach makes the process actually enjoyable (so many previous purchases have been a real trial). Jamie was very quick and efficient; it took longer for me to arrange my own insurance while I was there, than it did to tie up the car purchase AND my part exchange. The car itself was very well presented with all docs and accessories presented. I was offered a demonstration of the car's features although I was familiar already so this wasn't required and we drove out in a nice new car I think almost within an hour of arriving! The pre-sales service from Sam Sabir in the contact centre was also very good. He kept me informed through the process and worked hard to get me answers to my questions about the vehicle and transportation process. Great service all round. On arrival, I was acknowledged by a friendly member of staff who asked if I was just interested in looking around. He explained succinctly that I should note the stock number of the vehicle and come back if I wanted a test drive. I was able to view the vehicles at my leisure. What was particularly noticeable was that each member of staff acknowledged me with a "hello" whilst not pressuring me to choose a vehicle. I chose four vehicles and within minutes was provided with the keys. I was, again, able to view the vehicles at my leisure. When ready to test drive, the salesman, Dain, was otherwise engaged whereupon I was directed to the cafe for complimentary refreshments. I was able to test drive the vehicles of my choice shortly after that. On deciding that I wanted a purchase a vehicle, I was dealt with very efficiently and professionally by Dain. I have just come from Motorpoint. I originally wrote the following when asked to write a review: "Bought my first car at MP Newport today and was really impressed with the service. Not pushy at all, answered all my questions, and all very straightforward. Great service from both Ben and Sam. Thanks!" Incidentally, Sam chose 5 stars for me, which I've now revised down to 2. After everything was signed and sealed and I was shown to the cafe to wait for my car, a woman called Jodie came along to say that, actually, they'd just discovered the car wasn't roadworthy because of a problem with the horn. So my car wouldn't be available today after all. It amazes me that this wasn't known when the car was on the forecourt, or before I had signed and paid. Also, Sam managed to avoid delivering the news himself, instead letting Jodie do it. Having been built up to drive away today, I am bitterly disappointed. Especially given that the only recompense is a promised full tank of petrol when it is eventually ready. I am told that the car will be taken to a garage on Monday and it should be fixable. If it transpires that I can't pick my car up on Monday, I may still edit this review. *Update* It's Monday and I've just been to collect my car! I'm very pleased with it. Jodie offered to refund the £99 processing fee. And I got the full tank as promised. Because of Jodie's attentiveness over the phone today, I've revised my 2-star rating to a 3. I am broadly satisfied with the individuals who dealt with me and the car is great. It's just a shame that Motorpoint is let down by what is probably a matter of poorly-functioning processes.

The car I preferred was in Widnes, but Motorpoint transported to Newport for me to examine without any obligation (if I didn't want the car, they'd refund the deposit in full without question). As it happens, the car was immaculate and ready for me to test drive on arrival. There was no sales pressure and the sales executive, Barry, was polite knowledgeable and efficient. Within 50 minutes I had test driven and paid for the car and on my way home. Without doubt the best car purchasing experience I have had in over 35 year of car ownership.

Great customer service let down by very bad first impressions. Salesman Julian as usual has very good customer service skills putting things right when things are wrong The car was let down by very poor preparation i.e. not valet, door card and drivers seat had all streaks down it which looked like someone had left the window open and rain had got all down it, very dirty interior and found a faux flower in between the seats from where the previous owner had the car, very disappointing. There was a dent inside the passenger and drivers rear door that had not been addressed. As noted before with Motorpoint, i'm not sure who they have doing the "servicing" on the cars, all I can say is there training is very poor with copper grease being a signature touch by there "mechanics" on the locks, you should never put copper grease on locks as it wears the lock mechanism out prematurely metal on metal it's not rocket science, spray grease should be used or nothing would be better these are cars that are generally less than a year old and do not require grease on the latches!! checking oil, fluid levels tyre pressures etc ... if they even do this which by the state of the presentation I don't think they do, ripping off your customer £99 for the privilege is NOT on! This was rectified to my satisfaction by Julian and Finance adviser Barry, Julian waved the £99 maintenance fee and Barry amended the finance agreement - this is supposed to be for a service, valet etc which wasn't performed on the car, he also found some mats specific to the vehicle which he put in for me, It's a really shame that poor presentation has to let down the whole sale as first impressions are really important and should be prioritised.

Good Financial Experience. Motorpoint accepts up to full payment on a credit card (as well as debit). Paying as much as you can on a credit card gives high security and possibly points on your card. Pay as much as you can on a credit card. I also advise to check on line GAP insurance and scratch and dent insurance as they are much cheaper on line than from Motorpoint. In many cases GAP insurance is also not required.

Motorpoint has a good selection of cars and are always willing to help you... once you get 9ver the group's of young men in matching uniforms crowded round together appearing very unapproachable and a little intimidating and sort the boys whose car is bigger than your car to the men that actually no about cars and what you need and want and not what they think you should have it's all good. Anyone that goes there.... should ask for MIKE he's tall ginger got a beard and will always go out of his way to do right by you.... third car in.... top bloke... :)

Lots of cars. Prices are mixed. No one asked us if we needed assistance. The ordering of the cars is rather haphazard and entirely based on body type. I'd prefer it to be ordered by brand.

i did all mine over the phone and by email there seems to be to much of this give us the money and we take it of sale i lost the car i was after because i wouldn't give them a deposit when i chose a car it was in burnley give us £99 pounds and we will transfer it to newport you get the money back but it seems that your pressured into buying the car without seeing it motorpoint need to realise that one of there competitors move cars for nothing now as advertised on tv also i had a cherished numberplate on my trade in and well once again give us £250 and we will sort it once again you get it refunded then when i went to pick the car up the v5 was missing so walked away and phoned the dvlc up had to go back next day changing my insurance again insurance tolled me the cost of changing my cherished number plate would be wavered if it was done with in 14 days motorpoint yes not a problem it wasn't i payed £20 to my insurance company this was because motorpoint lost the v5 for the car i bought but they did not give me the £20 it cost me for there mistake this is the 3rd car we have had off the i personally will go back but i will sort my cherished number plate out my self i think ps just had a letter drive from finance company (close brothers) now charging me to change the cherished number plate over on the agreement i didn't get that with black hourse
