8/12/22, edit: To their credit, VW did get back to me and were able to supply the part I needed. It seems my message got lost in their system. I have amended the score accordingly. Another large organisation that ignores messages. I could not find a proper email address for VW Norwich, so I used the online form on 30 October (always a recipe for no hope) to ask about a minor spare part. I got an auto reply from a no reply email. After no response I replied to no reply email in the forlorn hope it may get through. Well, it didn’t bounce back, but as of today 18 November, 19 days after the original enquiry, still no contact. It smacks of utter contempt.

After waiting 20 minutes after my booking in time I was told there was no courtesy car even though I booked one. I was told someone would take me home in 5 minutes. After 15 minutes I managed to find someone to take me home. Later I was telephoned and told a driver would be with me within an hour to collect me. After an hour no driver so rang up. Told I was not told he would be with me in an hour and he was just leaving! Shambolic and completely unprofessional company.

Pre booked courtesy car while our car was being serviced and mot’d, called 2 days beforehand to confirm all was ok, all was ok. Arrived at dealership at 08.30 as requested………….no courtesy car available! Driver had to take me home and collect me when car was ready. Luckily didn’t need a car during the day! Was offered a free car courtesy wash this also did not happen! On the good side the car was serviced and MOT’d ok.

Generally had good experiences at norwich but just lately trying to get a call back from someone just to tell me a price for some work seems impossible. They answer the phone and then the lines I get once ive asked are we will call you back or we'll pass a message to our service department, both just don't happen. I also find that only one person knows the thing that Im asking and there on break or not in, just makes me not want to bother and go somewhere else.

A great experience again from VW, the lady I dealt with Clare was lovely. My car received a complimentary valet (supposed to be a wash and hoover, however it wasn’t hoovered though and washed only. This is the second time it has been offered and the car wasn’t hoovered, maybe need to look into that). Otherwise can’t fault the service thank you.

Good simple service, only complaint is the Courtesy car was munged up with something by the previous user, hand break and gear stick was covered in something sticky, the window screen was filthy with small child like hand prints and a used wet nappy under the passenger seat and a child's hat in the front passenger door pocket, took me 10 mins to clean up apart from that nothing else yet have still hardly driven the car

We took my wife's golf in for its first service last week. The actual service seems to have been completed well, just a bit disappointed that after being called to check that we wanted the car washed, and that if we did we would need to pick the car up 2 hours later than we would have done which agreed would be OK. When we went to pick the car up it had not been washed, apparently there was someone else with the same surname and they washed the wrong car. We know it is nothing particularly to worry about, but as the wash is built into the cost of the service just a bit disappointing. They said they would look into what went wrong and get back to us, have not heard a thing. Just an offer of a car wash voucher would have been nice, but hey ho. Aside from that, no complaints.

My VW Passat Estate was booked in at Volkswagon Norwich for an MOT. I was charged £54 for the MOT. A few days later my wife's car was booked into our local garage for an MOT. She was charged £35 for the MOT. The MOT was carried out to the same legal requirements at each garage. Why the £19 extra charge for the similar job?

Robinsons Volkswagen Cars Norwich had the best price for the car I wanted to buy, and despite the lockdown, were able to help me complete the purchase. I am overall happy with the service provided. What could be better is a bit more clarity on who to contact in which case (I went through a number of people and wasn't always sure of the difference of their roles). I would also say the initial response time could have been better. If I didn't put my eye on the specific car, I might have gone elsewhere. There was also a minor confusion on the bits and bobs included, like floor mats. That would not have changed my decision to purchase the car, but I may have obtained all the necessities not included in advance. Overall, I would recommend to my friends and family due to the friendliness and helpfulness of staff and a good price.

I recently bought a passat from this dealer. Overall, no issues. Professional and courteous staff (Taxi from the station, coffee and flowers for my wife -so, fairly decent). I'm also happy with the car. I would have liked a bit more fuel as a goodwill gesture because I did have a five hour journey to pick the car up. I asked if the car could be delivered. No. I asked for a tank of fuel. No. Not all your customers are local.

Great dealership with large showroom and big 'pre-loved' stock on forecourt. Full servicing department, super helpful staff and servicing team. In the current climate they have full precautions in place. With one way systems and supplying antibacterial gel etc on entry. I've been in a number of time since they reopened and the precautions have been in place since day of reopening making you feel very safe. Reception staff sit well back from the desk and wear a "face shield" which is so nice, as means their faces are not covered so feeling more natural whilst being safe. Staff correctly don't need to wear face masks whilst working and interacting with each other, but ensure they are always used if talking with a customer. Size of showroom means easy to keep distance and still function.

The Showroom is in lockdown and all the staff are very careful to operate the service operation safely for Customers. With the current global situation it has been hard to get my car serviced and MOT'd. (overdue) after having it rescheduled a few times (obviously no issue. This process was also spot on) Robinson's opened yesterday on limited staff and a strict social distancing policy. My car was collected from my home address, the work was carried out and my car dropped back to me. this service was smooth and spot on with the situation as it is. I will start by mentioning that I'm probably one of those very exigent customers, who will always ask questions, and will always need to know what's happening with and to their car, and sometimes must be quite difficult for those who are dealing with me. But after many experiences for almost 3 years at Robinson's Volkswagen, I can definitely say that it's a lovely place, where I had excellent experiences and no matter how difficult the situation was, we always found a way forward. I never bought a car from them unfortunately, so I cannot comment about this. I dealt mostly with the service department which is fantastic. I cannot find proper words to show my gratitude to Anthony M (service advisor) who just masters the knowledge and has excellent communication skills. Also there's Leon (service advisor) which again is a very fine gentleman who knows his job. And there are others who I'm sure are part of an excellent team, but I mostly dealt with Anthony and Leon for the last year. Paul Bell (the service manager) was always so kind, patient and helpful. There's also Ben (one of the technicians I had the pleasure to deal with) a very skilled young man, who knows his job and will go to that extent where he will make you feel reassured and comfortable ( especially when there are awkward issues with your car). I must not forget Stuart A from the parts department, who will always find the right part required and will do it in a very efficient way. The reception is also kind and helpful. Spending in the waiting area many happy hours over the years, waiting for my car to be investigated or repaired, or improved, I was always made to feel very welcomed and valued. Thank you all for all your hard work, and for being there for us. It's not always easy to satisfy everyone everytime (especially customers like me), but you always found a way to be helpful. Well done.

I took my car for a service and to diagnose and fix an electrical fault. Robinsons Volkswagen Cars found a puncture in the drivers side front wheel and repaired it but couldn't find out what the electrical fault was or fix it and still charged me £60. The total cost of the failed electrical fault diagnosis, service and puncture repair was £246.20, not that cheap but they are the main Norwich Volkswagen dealer so it is to be expected I suppose. I have shopped around since then and found several more competitively priced garage repairers that I have used for more costly repair work.
