The salesman Corey Bailey was exceptional in both his approach and manner from the start to me driving away from the forecourt. I should mention all the staff but that would take too long. Can't speak highly enough of Mike in sales, my first experience of getting a car through a showroom daunted me a bit, however, his knowledge of the processes and systems made my experience really smooth, a credit to the business. Also, he went above and beyond to rectify some issues with the deal (not at his end, but he did the leg work sorting it out, taking time to phone the third party company to chase for me without me even knowing or asking for him to do so). Buying a car remotely is something I wouldn't recommend following my recent experience with Marshall Skoda Nottingham. I thought both Michael & Wayne were very professional and having seen the car advertised as in excellent condition, I decided to pay the asking price (which was high) plus delivery. Having now received the vehicle, I realise the bodywork can only be described as average. There are no floor mats, which is annoying, plus the clip that holds the sun visor in place is missing. There are stone chips across the bonnet, some of which have been touched in quite badly. They did service the vehicle and arrange to have the timing belt & water pump replaced, due to the age of the vehicle, which is commendable. I have purchased cheap mats and a replacement clip from the Internet, but I don't think I should have had to do that. If I wanted to get a respray on my bonnet, I am looking at GBP500+. Overall, I think 3 stars is a reasonable reflection of my experience.

I booked my Skoda Karoq in for it's first service now that it's exactly a year old. I arrived this morning and the pleasant young lady at the reception checked the infotainment system in my car as it had not been telling me that I need a service. She then informed me that my car only required a service after 20,000 miles or two years due to the long-life synthetic oil used by Skoda since 2021. She did offer me the option of a service if I wanted one, but as I had only done 4000 miles in the car, it wasn't necessary. An unscrupulous Dealer would have taken my money for something that wasn't really required. Full marks for honesty and quality of service. I'll definitely be back when the service is due and incidentally - what an excellent motor.

Still surprises me how the Octavia keeps improving and evolving every time I come back. This has to be the best the best car dealer around. Why.... First and foremost no matter when I have been here (and only dressed casually) the staff have been mind blowing. Professional Smart Helpful Courteous Knowledgeable No pressure approach Polite Passionate Organised Informative Enthusiastic And more, these are the attributes that instantly come to mind. They have a nothing is too much trouble approach, the amazing thing is that all of the staff members I have spoken to, including an apprentice are all the same. They all seem to love the jobs that they are doing, the apprentice has been here since leaving school and loves it. He is looking forward to a long term future with them, I mention this as I believe it speaks volumes about the way they work The main person who looked after me was David, from start to finish the service level given was golden all the way. 5 stars, whatever rating system you use he would easily score 100% in it. My only regret is not having found this place sooner. I can this from personal experiences with other car dealers. At the bottom of this review I have left a little overview of my experiences with different dealerships and you will easily be able to see why I believe Skoda Nottingham to be a country mile ahead of everyone else in the Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire districts. The level of services offered are truly excellent, fairly priced, better than competitive in fact. For example they have the best aftercare package that I have seen yet. The showroom is always clean, well presented and open. The facilities include toilets, seating areas, multiple salesperson areas, nicely spread out, they have a drinks machine (we were offered drinks immediately every time we called in). The staff come straight over to ask if they can be of assistance and will happily listen to you and either direct you or take you over to where you want to be. All of this with a smile and no pressure, simply top notch service. You never feel rushed and even the senior management will ask how you are and if everything is to your satisfaction when passing by. Again with a friendly smile. What more can you ask for when buying a car. David gave me a full review of EVERYTHING I needed with my new car. A full induction as it were. I loved the personal touch which made taking ownership of my new car simple. I knew what everything did and where it was and how to use it. I will only be taking my car here for anything it ever needs, purely because I know it will be in the best of hands. Thank you David and every other staff member there for giving me the best car purchasing experience in my life to date. Below are some of the lesser experiences with other dealerships that I had both three years ago and during August 2018. Citreon in Derby for example kept me waiting for over an hour before someone could be bothered to come out and show me round the car I wanted to look at. We had asked over five people for assistance, non of which were interested. In the end I left, if this is ssrvice before I get the car, what the hell would it be like afterwards. The Nissan dealers in Ilkeston never ever made effort to say hello, never mind give me any information. The Ford dealership in Stapleford (now in Nottingham) at first ignored me completely despite the fact I actually wanted a car from them at the time. It is only fair to say that one lady eventually looked after me and aftercare was very good. But when I went to the new showroom in order to look at changing my car I actually felt shunned by the salespeople there (again dressed casually) until the same lady I had dealt with three years previous turned up. The Toyota dealership and the Vauxhall dealership, both in Ilkeston were both better than most but not a patch on Skoda Nottingham. Rather than bore you with every experience I will simply say that I visited Kia at Chilwell, Skoda Derby, Renault Derby, Peugeot Derby and around four others.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Craig during the purchase of my Kamiq, a fairly new recruit to this dealership Craig speaks highly of his management team, his colleagues and the overall running of this dealership which is vey encouraging to hear as a customer. Tony kept me informed of progress constantly and, as I was a remote purchase l received videos of the car for review which were as close to walking around the car yourself as you could get. On day of collection Tony also sent me videos of the Infotainment system and how to use it and get the most from it, which was a lovely touch. After having had some really poor service from another well known dealership, Marshall Skoda in Daybrook were like a breath of fresh air. Everyone from the receptionists up were always polite and efficient. The car was delayed due to “chip shortages “ but once it arrived in the UK the process of reviewing the finances and arranging handover were excellent. I purchased a used 69 plate Skoda Octavia a few days ago from this dealership, I dealt with David Park over the phone and via email and he was very helpful and professional all the way through the buying process, a credit to Marshalls! When I attended the dealership I was made really welcome by all the staff members I met and everything was concluded without any problems, my only criticism is that they are short of space and could benefit from a under cover viewing area as the day I picked up the car the weather was horrendous and could not inspect the car as much as I'd have liked to because of the high winds and lashing rain! The following day at home I gave the car a good clean and inspection and was very pleased that the car was in excellent condition, although it did have a few minor stone chips on the bonnet which were probably done on my return home, as stated earlier the weather was really horrendous! The verdict, I would not hesitate to use this dealership again, and would certainly recommend friends and family to do so, well done Marshall Skoda 👍

There’s two types of sales people I dislike financial advisors and car sales. Both due to past bad experiences. I typically hate the thought of changing my car, however this time after finding a car I liked via the Internet I ventured to the dealership bracing myself for the onslaught. However the reality this time was totally different and dare I say it a pleasant and enjoyable experience! I was assigned Tony and he looked after me and was very knowledgeable about all the cars. He arranged 2 test drives and covered all the options purchase options available to me without the sales pressure! So the deal was struck and collection day came. I recently bought a used Skoda Octavia vRS from Ian at Marshall Skoda's Nottingham branch. I am very happy with the service from Ian and the rest of the team at the dealership who were very friendly and welcoming on each visit. When I went to look around the car, both mine and the rest of the vehicles in stock were clean and well presented. There was a wide range of Skoda vehicles to suit different needs and tastes. I was allowed to plenty of time to look around the car and there was no pressure to buy. From my dealings with Ian I would happily recommend a Skoda to anybody and in particular from this dealership! Everything through the buying process was well explained and very thorough which even included a video on collection day showing how to operate various buttons and functions in the car. The dealership is well prepared for Covid-19 and has hand-sanitiser stations throughout the building, plastic screens, marked out areas on the floor and each car has a sticker on the outside which lets you know if it has been cleaned or not. Today I returned for a service and prebooked online using the Skoda website which had an option to prebook a courtesy car which I took out. This was easy to use and there was no waiting around like I've experienced in the past with other car garages. The only drawback is that the dealership doesn't have too much parking but to me this is only a minor thing. Thank you Marshall Skoda and I look forward to the next time I visit!

Have dealt with Marshall Skoda before at Oxford. But I have to say Nottingham were excellent. Sadly lost my VRS and had to replace. Found Marshall Skoda at Nottingham on line and searched what they had in stock. Found exactly what I wanted and at a reasonable price. In these very strange times it’s stressful to make any large purchase, keeping your distance, plastic screens, face masks and hand gel. Not forgetting the pen you use at the showroom, the keys, the test drive when will it end? I digress! All I can say is it was a pleasure as all the above was covered all I had to do was bring my mask. The car was cleaned and labels placed on the door gap to designate it has not being opened since cleaning, keys in a bag, pen in a bag, clear screens at all sales desks and reception all distances kept, walkway areas clearly defined. The only thing unavailable was coffee or tea but that was fully understandable. So pop along you may see something you like, I travelled 70 miles but it was worth it. Simple and easy and a pleasurable drive home in a quality car.

I’m always slightly sceptical about car sales men and that they would tell you anything to “close the sale” but this wasn’t the case with James, he was very genuine and knowledgeable about the Skoda we were buying. Started ok with a test drive and general discussion of options, with a pleasant salesman but any sale was then lost on the second test drive. Having been clear that time was tight and agreeing a test drive time to suit, arrived to see the car in question being driven away by a salesman giving another a lift home ( don't they have a car each ?) which promptly meant the agreed time was missed. Time filled in by salesman looking on PC for any cars that might be suitable to order, even though absolutely no deal was anywhere near at that point. There appeared to be more focus on getting a deal done by a certain date even though I had said there was no rush ( and I'm the customer.... ) The other negative which had already made any deal unlikely was a very poor part-ex offer. In the end, purchased elsewhere with no pressure and a part-ex vastly higher. Overall a shame, as dealership highly recommended by friends.

Phoned up and spoke to Sonny, I was asking if a used car was still available (not a skoda). Sonny took time to ensure he had all the correct facts available for me. A test drive was then arranged. On the day of the test drive Sonny was very polite, the person who took us out (sorry forget your name) as excellent ensuring I know all the controls before driving. I was also taken out on a good run to get the feel of the car. On our return Sonny was busy with another customer but took time out to make sure we had a coffee whilst waiting. The negotiations for the sale and part exchange of my car were carried very professionally and a deal was agreed. All the added extras were explained to me but not in a way that I felt they were being forced onto me. A collection day was arranged for a few days later. On arrival for collection of the vehicle I was treated in the same manor as the day of the test drive. I looking for a new or used car again, I would recommend Skoda and Sonny.

I booked a car repair for 8:40 am, 28th November and dropped in my car as scheduled. The receptionist said she would contact me the following day, but nothing happened. I chased up through their live web chat on 30th November and they said they would ask a member of the team to contact me as soon as possible, but I still got no update. I did not receive their health check report until 2nd December when I called them. I was a bit disappointed by their slow response.

Took the car here for a service. First visit to this dealership. Newish premises, all looks slick and tidy, including the workshop which is a good sign. Only feedback I would give is that I had to wait quite a long time both at drop off and pick up. 1 hour in the morning waiting for a lift into town and half an hour in the evening waiting to be seen to pick up the car. To be fair though the staff apologised and handled the situation pretty well. So just deducted the one star. Other than that would be happy to go back.

Looked at a specific problem with the Adaptive Frontlight System and managed to cause another fault so car now dangerous to drive; now illuminates such a small area in front of the car that 20 mph feels too fast. Computer says no fault so won't look at it again. Having to escalate with Skoda complaints. Update: It has taken a long time to resolve but finally found the issue at my own cost. However, much help from Lisa at Sandicliffe and Mark at Skoda in getting this sorted. Sandicliffe have now issued an unexpected refund so credit to them for this.
