Been to Sytner today, the sales man was Stephen in used cars, although I’d love an M3 my wife would divorce me if I got one so I decided to have a look at the M340i Stephen showed me round and offered me a test drive.
Absolutely no pushy sales tactics at all (I’ve been some places where they are too pushy)

Booked in to Sytner for 30000 service for my BMW420i. Very easy to book the service. Very impressive explanation of what they needed to do to the car when I arrived and an accurate estimate on how long it would take given. Coffee provided in a comfortable waiting area. Updated on how the service was progressing regularly. Careful summary of what they had done given when the car was ready. Car returned having been washed.

Had my X3 in for a software recall update, and was welcomed by the front of house team who swiftly took my details and informed the service department I had arrived. Josh the service advisor was very polite and dealt with me in a very professional manner. Mid afternoon he contacted me to brief me on progress and an estimated time my car would be ready to collect. On collection he completed all the admin quickly for me and showed me back to where my car was located in the customer parking area, all in all another great experience from Sytner Nottingham.

Reported a fault with my 5 series on which Simon had managed to schedule the vehicle in the very next day. I was looked after by Josh who did a great job in keeping me updated and even managed to get my car valeted inside and out once the fault was fixed.

Annual service and MOT. Excellent service from start to finish,. Rebecca, fully explained what was needed doing to my car with a estimate of my forthcoming bill. More work was needed than anticipated, this was, again was fully explained in full. The accompanying video from the mechanic was brilliant, put me at ease with the process and what was required.
With a larger bill that I budgeted for a 0% finance option is available, spread over 6 months is really helpful if finance is tight.
Going to MINI dealership for repairs etc is obviously more expensive than the usual garage, but with the care, communication and quality of work is second to none.

Sytner had my car in on Tuesday 25th January 22 for brakes. Steve who collected my car was Genuinely kind and friendly and efficient. When he took my car he noted that the windscreen wipers needed replacing and he actioned this. My mini service was carried out efficiently, the only issue I had was I reported to the mini reception as I expected it was there that I would be received but after about 10 minutes of hanging around and several staff seeing me but not engaging I was eventually directed to the BMW reception next door where all vehicle servicing is booked in. I would suggest better signage is required to ensure visitors and customers are directed to the correct reception for all vehicles. Good all round experience with this branch of Sytners when taking my car in for service, end of warranty check, first MOT and re-call. All work to be carried out and what was carried out fully explained by service personnel. Car went in for service and I asked for the headlight washer jet to be replaced. I'd already asked for this job to be done last time it was in months ago, but apparently they couldn't be bothered to do it last time because they were trying to upsell me on thousands of pounds of other work. This time, the washer jet was replaced but the cap was left off. I can only assume the washer jet cap is a different item on the BMW parts list, and silly me for not specifying that I also wanted the cap replacing. The person who dealt with my service was unavailable, so her colleague promised she would call me. She didn't. I called a couple of times and couldn't get hold of her. Customer service called for feedback and I explained the situation. Again I was promised a call. Still waiting a week later. This is an incredibly minor problem, but one that's resulted in me being completely ignored now as a customer who has reported a problem. I was going to leave it... but then you emailed me and asked for feedback.

Car was washed and ready on collection . Left it on site for 2 days.
A binding noise from the front offside wheel was noticed on the journey home but thought it may have been from the oxidisation on the disc.
However this noise continued over the next 150 miles particularly when turning sharplyor round traffic islands .Customer services contacted me for a review and I reported the issue and was promised a call from a service adviser . I’m still waiting !! The issue seems to have resolved itself although I wished to report it to service so it was recorded. Consequently I cannot give a 5* review.

I'll be honest - my recent interactions with Sytner BMW Nottingham have not been the most hassle free. However I'm still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt and a 4/5 rating because I think the miscommunications were due to a central booking authority and not this dealership.
What I found really impressive was how far they went to put things right. On my 2nd attempt to get my X5 in for its MOT I was told that there would be a 5hr wait before the car was ready to collect, despite me having booked a "while you wait" service. John Latham overheard my conversation with his colleague in which I was voicing my frustration and went above and beyond by offering me his car for the day so that I didn't have to wait around for 5 hours. It was unbelievably kind and generous. Such demonstrations of customer service really do have the ability to wipe the slate clean and instantly make amends for any previous issues. I was very grateful.

Visited BMW Sytner mini to deliver my Wife’s Mini clubman for some maintenance work. I have to say from start to finish, Sytner feels like a premium offering, where the greeting (first impression) was on point, and everything else thereafter was fantastic. Amazing customer service.
The main reason for such positive feedback was Louise Taylor, who I first met to book the car in.
Louise has exemplary customer service skills, and made me feel really valued, which can be a rareity nowadays with customer service standards.
Louise kept in touch throughout the time our car was in Sytner, and kept in touch with text updates also.
I found her a pleasure to deal with and she made everything so simple with such a warm manner.
If my parents were ever in a Sytner, I would hope that they would be sat in front of Louise.
I was so impressed, that we are now looking at purchasing a new car from Sytner, and again, Louise referred me to Jaz who was also brilliant. I am sure as a business, you would want to see this reactive behaviour for a streamline service from service to sales.
In terms of my two visited, from the first greeting, to the offer of a coffee, to the service Louise provided, everything was absolutely on point from a customer service point of view.
I know BMW is a premium brand, and to a certain extent, you would expect exemplary customer service, but I’ve had much lesser experiences at other rival premium brands.
Also recognising that the staff are admirably working from the workplace during the pandemic, where the option of working from home is not an option, thank you!

I find BMW Sytner Nottingham very false talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. I’ve had 6 BMWs and the past 2 I thought I’d go to main dealer what a mistake that was. Brought My M4 in for a diagnostic last Wednesday as the oxygen sensor is not working, they keep the car overnight. I bring the car home, only to find they have damaged my drivers side front wheel. I rang them Friday, promised a phone call back - no one got back to me, Phoned Saturday - No one got back to me, Rang Monday and finally somebody got back to me and was asked to go and See him today. I show then the damage on the wheel and tyre and its a definite no from these guys, without a proper investigation. As you can imagine i was not happy
I received a call after emailing my complaint Will, who sent this to the customer service manage who has agreed as a measure of good will to repair the damage. I am not bothered about them accepting liability, i am more than happy for this to be good will. I must say, they have redeemed themselves, as earlier this was a one star review. The measure of any good company is how they look after customers. Although the start was poor, the outcome was excellent and have to say a well done to the team.

Came in for warranty work with a brilliant service advisor John. Super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. While I was at the dealership I spoke to Scott Shaw about potentially changing my vehicle. Scott showed me the stock and found me an immaculate 240i... I was sold! Phil Bailey and Scott walked me through my options and made the experience smooth and easy! I collected the car on the Friday where Alex Butler ran me through the vehicle and sent me on my way! Alex explained he got Paul, the valeter, to give one extra look over the car and it looked unbelievable! Alex really put the icing on the cake as I picked up my dream car. Overall my experience was a good one, but as I have reported to your team who called following my 2 visits, I do think a couple of changes could be made to make your customers feel valued.
After my first visit, and within 20 miles of leaving the garage, my coolant light illuminated and after a call with the service team I was asked to the return the vehicle at my convenience for them to re-check, as the engineer confirmed he had checked/topped it up. I returned to the garage a few days later and a pressure test was performed on the system, no leak or error was found, but during my visit and while I waited for over an hour for this check to take place, no manager came out to see me - even though I received confirmation the issue had been reported to them.
Also when booking a service, customers are left to guess which one to select which impacts on the charge to be paid and the time taken, especially for those customers who select to wait in the showroom while their car is being attended to. However I was informed when I arrived, that in fact a customer can pop in anytime with their car and their key can be scanned which would provide a correct quotation - you really ought to advertise this service.

My Motability car was having a service and there were a few other things that I wanted the garage to check for me. I was able to have a courtesy car for the day to get us home which was really helpful as well. The staff were very helpful and while we were waiting to collect our car,we were offered a drink which was greatfully received as it was such a hot day. Raza was extremely helpful and after some initial delays in contacting him he arranged a visit to see the car and we purchased it without hesitation after agreeing a deal with him.
He subsequently (unsuccesfully but not through any fault of his) helped us try to tax the vehicle, taking us to the Post Office himself and explaining what was required. He has promised to help us again with this once we have all the documentation we require for our exisiting personbal plate and the doumentation from DWP we rquire due to my wife's disability.

10/12/21 - one of the reasons why I keep loyal and keep returning back to sytner bmw Nottingham is because of the customer service by the service department. My used approved car had some issues and Keira was quickly on the case to get it resolved for me and ensured I was still able to be on the road with a courtesy car. I had a great first time experience with Sytner Nottingham BMW, my service advisor Rina was nothing short of Amazing! Even with the current government guidelines in place, i was made to feel well at home in the dealership and in good faith that my car would be taken care of unequivocally.
Rina made a point of asking if i had any specific requirements with my vehicle whilst it was in the care of Sytner Nottingham BMW, and the handover/collection process was seamless on both ends, the contact whilst away from the dealership was concise yet informative, and the complementary health check was great peace of mind.
Although during this pandemic, they’re not able to clean customers cars, Rina made a lovely gesture by giving me a free BMW key ring, a lovely touch i thought.
As this is now my local dealership, and i received such a great level of service i will be returning for any future works/maintenance required on my vehicle, and maybe even a new vehicle when the time comes to replace my beloved BMW.

I can not recommend this place highly enough, especially Lewis. I bought my 2 series from another car retailer Car Shop and I regret not purchasing it from Sytner without a doubt. I had issues with my car making a noise when turning it to the left, the warranty I received was pathetic and they kept fobbing me off telling me they couldn’t hear a noise until I was out of my warranty. Eventually, I decided to bring my car to Sytner and got Lewis as a service advisor - he was absolutely amazing. It turns out the shock absorber had been replaced on my car by the car shop and not refitted properly, Lewis identified the issue and got it fixed promptly and I received excellent customer service and I haven’t had an issue since. Also, he noticed an issue with my mechanics in my window. Lewis called BMW as he said the part shouldn’t have failed on a car as young as mine and managed to bring my bill down by getting BMW to pay for the part. He also informed me my car had a 5 year service plan on it which I was not aware of or told by the car shop when I bought it and such I got my car serviced for free at the same time which was an excellent plus I was not expecting! Especially after they told me the car shop don’t seem to have carried out the service work they informed me they had when I purchased the car. The work carried out here and the customer service really was excellent and I regret not buying my car from here in the first place, but I am glad I have come here to rectify the problem and will not be taking my car anywhere else in the future!

I've always found this place great, however on my most recent visit to the body shop it lessend my opinion of Nottingham Sytner. The chap who served me needs a lesson in customer service. He looked me up and down and came across disinterested and rude. Im sure if they had the job it would of been tip top however i refuse to deal with any business that cant provide a decent level of customer service from the outset.
I left due to this and took the car to Derby Stratstone who were much more interested and managed to sort my problem out and I'm booked into to have the job done there. You've now lost a customer.

A generally enjoyable experience in buying an i3. Sytner's online valuation via their website for my existing Audi Q3 - which the salesman agreed was in excellent condition, and which got me into the dealership in the first place, mystified the staff, and was apparently £2000 more than they were prepared to allow. There was also pressure to take the highly priced GAP insurance and the paint treatment in common with all car sales businesses.
Otherwise, the staff were friendly and attentive, offering an extended test drive in the vehicle, of which we took advantage. We are very pleased with the new vehicle.

I have to say though that this has been my best experience so far, from the first telephone call from Stephen Barradell after my initial contact for more information on a 440i M Sport on the website.He was very informative on the details of the car and offered to send me a personal video of the car as I am 80 miles away from Nottingham. Everything about this dealership is great; sales, quality of cars, service department, customer care. However, how Greg the business manager is still employed there is beyond me: rude, poor manners, extremely nice when you want to buy a car but starts acting like a child when you reject a finance deal he puts together, slamming his laptop shut and storming off etc... then several minutes later acts all nice again expecting you to part with your money as if nothing had happened.

Martyn, on the service desk, has always accommodated and provided an excellent service to ensure my car is in perfect working order and condition all at a reasonable price. Very professional and pleasurable experience with Sales Executive Martin Lam. We had an appointment booked at the showroom but, as we entered, there is such a huge difference between BMW and the competitors we visited to test drive similar 7 seat vehicles to the BMW 219D sport.
To conclude our decision over our purchase, the BMW wasn't necessarily our preference over spec and general drive; actually, our decision was made from a comfortable feeling that if we had any issues, we had a reliable, altruistic point of contact in which we could place total trust.
Now, we love the car and look forward to staying with BMW for a long time. Thank you all for taking care of us, keeping us up to date on the progress of the vehicle and the consultative non-pushy professional sales approach.

Now before I start this review people need to understand both human error happens and mechanical error happens. Any company, any time, any place. For me it’s how said company/business responds to issues in the bad times that shows their true colours. Sytner in this respect have been absolutely incredible. Took my M135i (no manufacturers warranty on it) in for an oil change and filter and the car came out with quite a severe issue, won’t divulge too much on that. John (huge thanks mate) sorted me out a fantastic courtesy car for the time being whilst the car was kept for diagnosis (brand new, new shape 3 series). Sytner took minimal time to make a decision about what was happening. They have replaced my entire engine block, internals, turbo and ancillaries at what I would assume to be a retail cost of £10,000-£15,000. Two year parts and labour warranty on all parts replaced as well for peace of mind. Whilst this was all happening, they have gone above and beyond to diagnose further issues for me that had nothing to do with themselves in the slightest and do this free of charge. They have even said if the problem resurfaces, they’ll happily get me straight back in and sort me out another courtesy car. Also want to get me back in in a couple of weeks just to double check everything for peace of mind. Plenty of calls (almost daily) and updates from John along the way which I really appreciated. Love being kept in the loop on things. All the staff are polite, helpful and very attentive. Some beautiful cars to have a look around whilst you wait if you so wish or a lovely waiting area with comfy seating, tv and magazines. Don’t know if anybody will read this from sytner Nottingham but please thank all the staff that have worked tirelessly to get my car sorted, John and also the technicians carrying out the engine swap etc especially. I can’t rate you guys highly enough. I will be 100% happy to stick with BMWs into the future and without doubt will keep them serviced with sytner. You can get an oil change anywhere but if anything happens to go wrong would you get this level of service anywhere else? Definitely not.

I don't normally leave reviews, but wanted to call out Maxwell Nicklin from Sytner Select in Nottingham. As it was a car through the Select side of the business and not a BMW, it wasn't out on display. Max came to reception to meet me and within a few minutes I knew I was in good hands. For someone who changes their car every year I am used to the process but with Max it was very easy! He brought the car round to show me, gave me some time to look over it then he took me a drive in it. We came back and did a deal! (A good deal!) Max was never too pushy and knew his stuff, even when we had a bit of an issue with some of the paperwork Max took ownership to resolve and his aftercare was also great. Would definately recommend Max and Sytner Select and will probably be back there again at some point!

Visited Sytner Nottingham for the second service on my 3 year old BMW 5 Series . Whilst I expected the usual professional service that they normally provide, on this occasion I found the whole process to be exemplary.
First of all the reception relating to my appointment with regards to my service requirements.
The Service desk was expecting me and I was introduced to Simon Sytners Service manager who took me through the process and advised me what should be carried out and at what the estimated costs would be. He made sure that my pre -paid service pack was maximised and that a full oil change was completed before the agreement ran out of time. I very much appreciated Simon,s personable but straightforward approach. He made feel that he wanted to serve me well . He did just that. Made sure that I was served with coffee and sitting in comfort in the waiting lounge area.. 5 star service plus,plus.
Secondly
Before visiting Sytner, I had considered changing cars and upgrading to the newer model . So, whilst I was waiting for my service to be carried out I decided to enquire and see what was available. Anthony Clarke came out to see me, listened to what I was thinking and understood my limits reference price expectations . It wasn't long before he came up with a car which met with my requirements exactly. There was some expected too - ing and fro - ing before we settled on a price which I was able to afford. During the time it took to agree the purchase I had several conversations with Anthony who helped me along the way and did his job in a friendly and professional manner throughout the process. Of course he was doing his job but he seemed to able to achieve my satisfaction genuinely and left me with no doubts about his sincerity to assist me properly. Another 5 star plus,plus rating.
Sale completed, two good cups of coffee and my visit was complete.My old cars service was completed on time and a follow up from Simon was
appreciated.
During my visit ,another member of Sytners staff i,e Simon Leeson remembered me from when I purchased my first BMW some 15 years previously, recognised me and took the time to get up from his desk and asked after my heath etc.. he did;'t have to do that but he did underlines the type courtesy and professional the level of staff Sytner employ.
Takes a lot of effort and skill to provide services to the levels I experienced. Well done to Directors and Staff !

Jake in sales certainly went above and beyond his call of duty whilst my car was in for a service on Saturday. Jake assured me that after buying my vehicle he would maintain regular contact and always be a point of contact at Sytner Nottingham should I need any assistance. Well needless to say Jake is a man of his word!
The day before my scheduled visit, Jake called to check I was booked in and what my plans were for the day while I waited. On arrival, I was greeted with a warm welcome and Jake had kindly arranged for his car to be available for me to use instead of walking into the Nottingham for lunch.
After a few hours I got the call to say my car was complete from Simon in service. As I started my journey back to London in my pride and joy, the engine management light came on. Unknown to me, my coil pack was defective and needed replacement which could not be done on the day. Simon kindly offered a service loan car but Jake saw I was unhappy as the vehicle offered wasn’t to my liking but did the job and that’s all that was available at such short notice. Jake approached me and asked if I minded waiting 30 minutes or so while he looked for something that would make me smile and be comparable vehicle as I wasn’t best please with the news about my car... He came back with a beaming smile and said ‘I think this will be more to your liking Jayden’ and he wasn’t kidding. Jake managed to provide me with the same car and even with the M-Performance kit like mine. Needless to say I left feeling happy and valued as a customer of Sytner’s.
Jake certainly made my experience that day unforgettable in terms of aftercare service. My family and I have always had BMW’s and we always will... I won’t buy from anywhere or anyone else.

Recently purchased a second hand bmw 1 series from here. I live in Sheffield and the car was brought to me.
Jake Greatorex contacted me after I’d made an enquiry and did all the work from there so when it came to collecting the car, most of the work was already done so it was only an hours job!
I put off buying a new car as I find the experience can sometimes be pressured and you can be pushed into things which takes away the enjoyment, but with Jake I was never once made to feel uncomfortable and the whole process was so smooth. Will definitely use again!

The front of house team are courteous, attentive and really helpful. I can’t speak for all of the sale people but I bought my vehicle from Max Nicklin who made the end to end process an absolute pleasure, from initial personal video of the vehicle, to collecting me from the car rental garage, signing the paperwork and handover. The 2 year old vehicle was really well prepared by the onsite team and looked like it just come off the production line. Not all BMW dealers are equal – for me Sytner BMW Nottingham set the standard.

I have given my review of the service that I received from BMW Nottingham 5 stars for the following reasons. Having previously gone to another BMW dealer in Leicester due to poor service at BMW Nottingham, the first class service I received from Nick Drewitt at BMW Nottingham has restored my faith in customer service.
Nick contacted me following me making an enquiry with "Whatcar." Nick was very pleasant and polite making every effort to assist me with my purchase. I informed Nick that I was looking for an SUV and informed him of the three vehicles that I was interested in. Nick did not pressurise me but offered me a test drive and his services whenever I was ready.
I visited the two other dealers that sold similar SUV's that I was interested in buying but due to the poor service I received from the salespersons I decided to go to see Nick at BMW. Again Nick went above and beyond fitting in with my schedule and allowing me to complete test drive that included completing manoeuvres that demonstrated the features on the vehicle, something that others declined to do.
Also following my purchase Nick has kept in touch asking me if there are any issues with my vehicle or if I needed help with any of the features.

Firstly everyone is very pleasant and polite and they did get me in for a service at short notice so brownie points there. But everything else was not so good. It's the first time I've used sytner and my first impressions is it's like a huge industrial car parking lot cars are dumped everywhere and it's so big and impersonal it would be quite easy to get forgotten about I'm sure. Everything was so scatty, Firstly I was overcharged by almost £60 and the paper work was nowhere near right. Wrong registration date for my vehicle, Wrong vehicle health check, my car someone else's name and adrress and just looking at it now the video review doesn't match the data and figures for what the technician said in the video and what's put in the box's on the health sheet. I'm seriously worried if such things like this are wrong has my car had a proper service for my £500, I'll keep a open mind. Non of this has any bearing on the advisor he was very good it's the systems and the fact it's just too big and impersonal . Stratstones of chesterfield and soper of Lincoln do it much better although they are not without faults. I can honestly say most bmw dealerships have seriously dented my faith in the brand in one way or another .

Absolutely disgusting! My son and I visited the NAME yesterday looking to buy a new car...we were totally ignored.
We returned today joined by my surrogate son. They boys wandered around together and they were not challenged as did I alone too.
My surrogate son then walked around alone, as my son did the day before. The only difference is my son is white and my surrogate son is black.
When he walked around in front of the sales office, the sales men stopped, stood up and one came out and spoke to him.

Batman and Robin, Han Solo and Chewbacca, Fish and Chips... Laurie Kavanagh and Robert ‘Bobby’ Pal. These are some of the greatest partnerships the world has ever known, and this was confirmed after collecting my new car from Sytner BMW Nottingham yesterday. A three year relationship with this company and these salesmen had led me to foolishly believe I had experienced the peak of customer service, but all records were smashed after my latest purchase.
3 words to describe this dynamic duo:

Ground-Breaking
Presentation wise, these two young men were incredibly well groomed. Sharp haircuts, smart suits and polished brogues reflected the impeccable standard of care I received whilst in the dealership. Their relationship struck me as a mentor/mentee dynamic similar to that of Mr Miyagi and Danielson. Both offered a wealth of product and financial knowledge, and rather than assume my level of familiarity with motoring (I only recently learnt how to operate the car radio), they carefully explained the relevant terminology and components that allowed me to make an informed decision on my purchase.
I was upgrading to a bigger car and my inexperience and naivety in such matters would have had most other dealership salesmen circling me like lions around an injured gazelle, but not this dynamic duo. They showed genuine interest and enthusiasm into the type of car I wanted and spent time going through the different options available and what would suit my needs the most.
In the end a 320D M Sport (I’m told the ‘D’ stands for ‘Deadly’) was deemed the most suitable motor to reflect my lifestyle. Bobby particularly sold me on the headlights, which like the car, have shone a beam of light into my life. Pun intended.
With the bum flufferies concluded we proceeded forthwith to carve a deal. Being a cunning and tactile businessman I immediately engaged my negotiation mode, but I soon discovered that this was not needed. After discussions with the some of their knowledgeable and talented colleagues a price was agreed on and without going into details, let’s just say it blew me away. Laurie, Bobby and the entire team at Sytner Nottingham went above and beyond to create the perfect customer experience for me.
I was so amazed by the deal I offered to sign in blood but was assured this was not necessary.
All in all, it was the greatest flipping sales experience of my life (Sorry to curse). I could not recommend this dealership and these salesmen enough.
