Recently picked up our new car and couldn't be happier. From the first visit to the showroom to the handover of our vehicle we were treated as really valued customers. Our salesman, Niall, who guided us through the whole process, was first class, very knowledgeable and never pushy, we as the customer mattered, a very refreshing change from other dealerships where all they care about is how quick they can secure a sale and get another one! Overall I would highly recommend this dealership, outstanding friendly service.... oh, the coffees not bad either!

Excellent service from Smiths. Received a call on an excellent offer for our existing car. Chose the i20, the modelling is so up to date with excellent level of equipment, usually seen on a much higher level of spec in other marques. Very comfy to drive, highly recommended. Smiths kept us updated on delivery. Despite the global delivery issues the contact remained and all finance figures were honoured.

Ordered vehicle in May with proposed delivery date November. Kept up to date through whole process with vehicle arriving 2 months early in September. Prior to hand over received 2 very informative video's on operations for the vehicle. Hand over was superb and all questions answered. Keith was very personable and knowledgeable over all a very pleasant delaership experience. Since I have purchased the service pack on the back of the service I have already received and to maintain all benefits provided by the warranty and breakdown for peace of mind motoring.

Had no problems with the purchase of my car 1 year ago however taking it in for its first service is a different matter. Booked car in for 8am to 9am so turned up just before 9am only to find parking spaces almost non existent. Eventually managed to squeeze car into an unbelievable small space between cars parked well over the lines marking the bays. Went to service desk and told it would be around 5pm before my car would be ready which I queried saying it is only for a first service. They said it also had a recall which I knew nothing about and which they said the customer doesn’t need to know about. also mentioned about problems with parking which I was told was because everyone brings their cars in between 8 and 9.. Collected my loan car and left. Just after 1pm the blue link app on my phone pinged and my tracker indicated the car had moved so four hours after arriving on site the car was actually being looked at. Car was actually available to collect about 3.30 . Perhaps Smiths should consider a system of staggered appointments for the servicing which would help alleviate the parking problems and the customer having to wait so long for their car to be returned. Other companies have adopted this system and having had first had experience of this type of system in France found it works very well and avoids congestion and long waits. I am only happy that I did not opt to sit and wait for my car. Sorry Smiths but It looks like I will be looking elsewhere for my next service.

I saw the car I was looking for on Autotrader and spoke to Keith. I immediately felt I was dealing with a professional company. After a couple of conversations I went to look at the car which was exactly as described. We have just taken ownership of our new car and the whole experience from walking in the door not knowing what we wanted to getting the car has been fantastic. They also didn't try to change the deal agreed even though Hyundai took 10 months to deliver the car. Purchasing from this dealer has increased my overall satisfaction with Hyundai especially when I compare this to the sales experiences I've had in recent years at Honda and VW. Either for mine or my partners car in the future, I will go back to Smith's, even though it's 3 hours from where I live! Took our car in for its first service. The process was easy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Impressed that we got a video explaining something on the car we had asked about.

I reserved Toyota CHR to be picked on Tuesday (26th July). Was sent a video of the car beforehand. When I got to pick the car, I was surprised to see that it had extra brake pedal ( commonly used by driving instructors). When enquired, the sales person told me it will take only few minutes to remove the pedal. He informed us that the technicians were extremely busy and either we take the car as it is and have pedal removed privately or come another day to collect. We decided to do it ourselves as driving again from Luton to Peterborough will not be worth and took his words that it is a very easy job. Once my friend started to remove the pedal, we realized that it is not such an easy job as described by the salesperson. It took my friend over an hour and too much effort to remove the complete brake pedal. Would like some explanation/comments to the fact why this was not removed before the car was collect or shown in the video sent earlier. I got a phone call from Mr Davies (Sales Manager). He explained his version. All sorted and good now. Excellent customer care. Thank you Mr Davies. Your after sales support is very highly appreciated. Customer care is very vital for a reputable business like Hyundai and you have done a fantastic job.

Car was ordered with a guide delivery date towards the end of November. By mid November it had slipped to mid Dec. Just before Xmas it was now 4th Jan. After Xmas now slipped to 14th of Jan!!! I now have to book MOT and service on my old car which I should have got rid of by now :(

I bought a iX35 from Smiths Hyundai a couple of weeks ago and just wanted to share my experience. I dealt with James Hallam who was fantastic during the sale, and then Scottish James who helped me when I picked up the car, both really great guys, not pushy or "salesmen" types, just really friendly and honest. The car was due an MOT so they made sure ALL advisories were dealt with (it is a 14 plate so there were a couple). It was also given a full service, not just the standard oil and bulb change that you get with a lot of used car garages. The car was fully valeted and absolutely immaculate. It is fabulous and I am back to enjoying driving again after a really bad experience with a car I bought from another "dealership" last month. Full years free warranty, full years breakdown cover.... Thanks guys.... I'll be back to trade in for an upgrade in a couple of years :)

I took out a 2-year lease on a 2021 Hyundai Kona Ultimate EV from Smiths Motor Group, Peterborough. I had used CarWow to find a very good deal and the sales representative at Smiths (Niall Hunneman) dealt with my enquiry very well from the outset. As it was my first EV, as well as my first Hyundai, I had lots and lots of questions. Niall and others in the Smiths team were very good at providing all the answers promptly, which I found very reassuring. I had a part exchange, so collected the Kona at the end of May. The car is my first EV and it's excellent. I say this having moved from driving Lexus hybrid vehicles for the previous 15 years, so the bar was set high. I've had the Kona for almost 2 months now and have been delighted with it. I can't see me going back to either a hybrid or internal combustion engined car based on the EV experience so far.

Just had our i20 Active serviced. Originally planned for January but I had to change dates. I was overseas at the time but the service lady, Vicky couldn't do enough to rearrange and ensure a vehicle was available during the service for me. Arrived last week and provided with the new KONA while my wife's car was serviced. I think it was the base model but was very well equipped, excellent drive, visibility and comfort. Really just a smaller version of my Tuscon, a real challenger to other marques. Normally I leave the car all day but on this occasion needed to return by lunchtime. I was duly notified at 12:30 the car was ready. As always my car had been cleaned and was like new again. Had a useful update from one of the salesman Graham about the KONA and future models on the horizon. Perhaps that will be my next purchase.
