"Hidden-Gem in Plymouth!" I started using Motor City (& their Sister company, RH Tuning) nearly 10 years ago, I live an hour away but have been making the journey after first being recommended to them by a friend with a strange electrical fault on a car which 4 other garages couldn't sort, that they quickly managed - I was frankly shocked at the time by the level of investment there on equipment & tools. I wasn't expecting main-dealer level diagnostics, multi ramp workshops, and full tuning dyno rooms. They have helped me out over the years with lots of cars, by being a one stop shop, I have just dropped vehicles off, to have servicing, tuning, tyres, wheels refurbished, paint work done at once. The most important thing in choosing a garage I think, is trust, and I just wanted to share my experience with them - the family run business have always been very honest with all dealings, prices have been good, quality of work great. I've had work cars & vans remapped for economy, performance vehicles upgraded via software & hardware changes, gearboxes rebuilt, engines modified, engines carbon cleaned (special machine required they have), suspension upgrades (they also have a full Hunter alignment machine only usually found in top end tyre fitting stations), custom wiring / coding work done, special tools to remove centre locks on a Lamborghini Huracan which saved me a trip to the main dealer... being a car nut stuck in the SW, I really would be lost without their services! Keep up the amazing work Motor City / RH Tuning.

Really helpful friendly team. Did not feel pressured or scrutinised by Jacob. Cars vehicles are presented to a high spec. We found a slight scratch & an issue with one of the tyres on the car we wanted - assured it would sorted before we collected, it was and more! They had replaced both front tyres to ensure that all tyres were the same and the balance & tracking was right & the body shop had gone back over the car and buffed out some that I hadn’t noticed. Impressive way above expectation. This is on top of a really good aftercare & warranty package that comes as standard with all cars! I’d have no hesitation in recommending this business- this is clearly a very well run operation that has succeeded due to its care for its cars and customers- well done 👏🏽 👏🏽👏🏽

Having had the most disasterous MOT failure list ever on my old car and ending up scrapping it I researched cars on the internet and found one of the model I was looking for advertised at Motor City. I contacted them to view and discuss finance options and made an appointment for later that day with Erwan. He was extremely helpful and not pushy at all which I greatly appreciated. The car was as immaculate as it looked online and I discussed finance and made an appointment to test drive the following day. I bought the car and booked to collect later in the week. I had to change the collection time and this was no issue at all. There were a couple of minor cosmetic issues such as a clip missing from a visor and a cracked plastic trim on a seat. I asked for these to be looked at and was expecting to find they had been glued when collecting. When I picked the car up they had actually replaced the parts which was great. The car was serviced before collection and cleaned and was completely immaculate. I was also supplied with a new inflation kit and pump as the one in the car had been out of date. Unfortunately over the bank holiday weekend a coolant low light came on in the car. I rang Motor City who were apologetic that the service centre was closed due to the bank hol and told me not to worry as if I rang back in the morning it would all be sorted quickly. Obviously at this point I was rather nervous but rang Adam in service to he following morning and he told me to drop the car in straight away and it would be sorted under warranty. Unfortunately no courtesy cars were available due to the short notice but he promised if one came back in he would let me know. This turned out not to be needed as by 4pm he called back to tell me that the fault had been diagnosed and a new part had been fitted so I could pick up the car. All now working fine and I feel totally reassured that any issues will be dealt with quickly and efficiently with no quibbles. Thank you to both Erwan and Adam for your help with the car. Both of your customer service skills are second to none. Your help is really appreciated. Hopefully now I won’t need to see you until my free wash and vac next month!

Bought a couple cars here before never had an issue. Spoke with Neil on the phone, had a price range in mind, and after a 10min wait, Neil rang me back with an offer I couldn’t refuse. Even sorted for the car to be ready the next day. Arranged to pop down before closing time, but due to traffic, ended up staying late. Neil had a look over my focus, and after hearing how bad it was, sorted me out with their hire car for the day. This is probably the most outstanding service I have ever come across. Take the plunge, you won’t regret buying from here.

A pleasant & helpful team. recently had problems with my rear light setup, I first tried to get a part from a reasonably sized car part supplier next to my work place, they didn't have them & said I try eBay. phoned MCP & they got the part in & could fit it that day for me. we know anything to do with cars can be expensive, but I've never felt I've been overcharged for anything. I suppose that there are nearer garages to me but I still keep using MCP shows that they can't be that bad :)

We highly recommend a visit to Motor City Plymouth for a stress free car purchase. We've been twice to change the both cars we own, one from the forecourt and one sourced. We part exchanged my husbands Astra, good price received :-) and purchased a Honda Civic in July 2012 from Matt. The whole experience was quick and very professional. The new car was ready and in perfect condition. Superb first year and it's just been back (July 2013) for a Level 2 service and MOT, amazing value. In light of the above customer service, earlier this year when we decided my Renault Grand Scenic was due for part exchange there was only one person to ring... Matt, of course! I gave Matt my requirements, a C3 Picasso in bright blue with low mileage please and within an hour I had a range to decide from :-) A quick pop in to confirm valuation on mine, all fine there just as before and decision time on the new one it was. Once selected, deposit done to secure and then the new car made its way to them to be checked, serviced and cleaned. I am more than pleased with the customer service received and my new car. We have previously always purchased from main dealer garages but their customer service, part exchange prices and honesty is no where near the level provided by Motor City. From the first telephone call....... to picking up my car, the service was excellent. I needed my new car in quite a hurry due to travelling up to see family in the Midlands. Matt rushed through all the paperwork and had my car on the road, taxed insured and MOT within 24 hours.Including all the finance and acceptance documentation. They are a family business and go that special distance to ensure the customer is happy. Thanks Matt for excellent service and will be down for my free car wash before the end of October.

Had a really good experience while car hunting today. Mike, the salesman, gave us a nice friendly welcome and invited us to look around and come back to him when we were interested in something. He didn't then suddenly pop up over our shoulders ten minutes later like so often happens in many dealers, which allowed us to feel relaxed and take our time over viewing the cars on offer. When we found a couple of cars we liked he ran us through the information on each and was more than willing to answer any questions we had. He set up a test drive for us on Thursday and said if we chose a car we could take it home the same day and have a free loan car in between for free. The after sales services offered with the car were very generous (free MOT for life, free valeting and many more). We felt absolutely no pressure to buy, a very relaxed experience. The cars on offer all appeared to be good quality and the cars we looked at already had Hpi checks which saved us the hassle of doing this ourselves. They'd all clearly been properly cleaned/waxed before making it to the show room. They were all reasonably priced when we compared like-for-like cars in other showrooms. Very, very impressed and looking forward to purchasing our car later in the week!

Wow never before have we felt so comfortable in a car sales place. The showrooms was clean and presentable, we were welcomed by Luke who told us to help ourselves to tea and coffee and to come over to him if we needed help. To browse at our leisure was great, no one hanging over us or pressuring us. We bought a 2015 Honda CRV. Luke was very helpful and let us take the car for a test drive with just myself, my wife and kids. We wanted to test it on normal town roads and the A38 dual carriageways as well. I think we were gone for half an hour. I noticed that the brake discs and pads were worn (although the rears less so) , and the rear tyres looked old and cracked although still had tread. He agreed to replace discs and pads all around and put two new tyres on the rear. We got a fair price for our Peugeot 3008 at trade-in. I have had an intermittent fault with it since it's purchase, and have returned the car to the team at Motor City on a number of occasions, without any success at finding the cause of the fault. However they have always been prepared to take the time to look at my car each time I called them, and they never made me feel like I was wasting their time. Occasionally I feel they can be a touch patronizing - especially as I am a young female...but most of the time I feel they are very friendly and very helpful. They were considerate of my needs when I had to keep dragging my infant son to and from the garage, and they were more than happy to provide me with a lift somewhere while they were looking at my car. The courtesy cars they have to offer people are often not to be seen - I have never been given one - however that is a small bug bear overall. The issue with my car was eventually discovered, and they repaired it free of charge as a goodwill gesture, which to me is excellent service! Also their valeting service is fantastic! I am very happy to continue using Motor City for my next car purchase, and I can recommend them to family and friends.

I have never before in my 54 year let someone else buy me a car without seeing it first. I recently purchased a vehicle and to say I bought a lemon would be an understatement. Motor City offered their services to source and supply a vehicle to my requirements, simple Citroen Xsara, low mileage, full service history for a reasonable price & in silver or grey. It took two weeks and a couple of phone calls from Matt (sales team) to source a vehicle and after a call confirming my intent to purchase it Motor City acquired the car, serviced and prepared it to the highest standard. We collected it today and it drives and looks like new. The customer care from Motor City is second to none and I would recomend them to anyone without a second thought. The provision of 7 day drive away Insurance, 12 months MOT and they even taxed the vehicle (I paid) so I could drive away from the garage with the i's dotted and the T's crossed. All in all a first class service all round 4 Months on the fuel pump failed (common fault with the Picasso) I contacted Ryan on Saturday afternoon and the vehicle was in the workshops, new pump fitted and back on the road Tuesday. Motor City contacted me on both days to update me on the progeress and the vehicle returned washed and hoovered. I can not say thank you enough for the brilliant service.

I must EMPHASIZE that it was not Motorcity`s fault that the car broke down it was an unforeseen fault that no one could have predicted happening .
