On the day of collecting Vincent was super helpful and really informative and took time to go over every inch of the caravan with us. Carol in the office was a pleasure to deal with. I ordered a new motorhome on 1st May because Preston's website said it was due in. The salesman said it was due to come in May/June. I contacted Preston's at the end of June for an update and was told that Elddis had been on a 10 day shut down and the MH is delayed. I contacted Preston's again in July and was now told that it is now due in September. I was also told that that dealers are finding it more and more difficult to get new motorhomes on time and was told that one customer had ordered in May last year and received it this year. Dealers are apparently fully aware of the current delays and should be honest with customers when asking for their deposit, I don't take too kindly to being lied to so at this point, I cancelled my order and took my deposit back. I fully appreciate the dilemma that dealers are in trying to get the new stock on time but, they should be honest with their customers with the facts in the first place.

We went to have a look one day when we where passing by. Straight away we where impressed by the selection of caravans they had to offer. We found the one we liked straight away and went talk to a salesman about some touch ups we spotted. We had John Lawrenson help us and that he did. He checked our vehicle could pull the caravan, he got any missing parts reported straight away so they could be ordered and went through all the details of everything very clearly. He was very friendly and down to earth. John was very professional with his work and covered every aspect of buying a caravan in good clear detail. Due to me needing to take my B+E driving test John offered to personally deliver the caravan. The caravan is now delivered. Myself, partner and two young daughters couldn't be happier. Thank You.

Since initially placing our new caravan order in August 2020 through to collection in April 2021, Matt our salesperson was friendly, helpful an always responded to emails & calls. He helped to quickly re-schedule our handover date during the time the dealership had to remain closed. The handover team were brilliant and very knowledgeable and they even installed our TV wall bracket for us. The staff in the shop were equally helpful, friendly and knowledgable.

Really helpful staff when completing our purchase of a brand new motorhome. When delivery was delay due to Covid, disappointed with level and speed of communications with our sales advisor. On the two occasions I contacted them took 3 & 5 days to respond! . Slightly disappointed there was no follow up courtesy call a week/month later to ask if everything okay considering the life changing amount of money buyers of motorhome spend. We went to Preston just for a look at a model my wife had seen online, and at the time they seemed to have it in stock. We weren't intending changing immediately but they offered a brilliant deal. As our kids now grown up we wanted a different layout and a bit of luxury. Ordered Swift Challenger X850, sorted out delivery date and px terms. When we arrived to pick it up, we were treated really well until a problem arose with our trade in.(Turns out with our previous bought from another large caravan dealer, (G.C) we'd been well and truly stung). It turned out our previous one had been crash damaged and very poorly repaired, other dealer didn't declare anything to us. Preston showed us the issues and were extremely helpful sorting out the deal so it could still happen, and took the extra time to calm my very upset wife. Nothing on that day was too much trouble for them. Delivered in absolutely immaculate condition and proper detailed handover of all its systems and even hooked it up to my car for me. From start to finish we enjoyed dealing with this company as they were respectful, fair, polite, not pushy and happy to show you whatever you want to see and answer questions. As far as after sales we had a bit of an issue logging in to Swift Command, rang them and was sorted quickly, turns out was just a minor error when they put our email address into Swift control, held their hands up and sorted it straight away. Happy wife means Preston Caravans have done a great job, and we'd recommend for definite.

Hire a campervan for a week as part of a group. The lady who showed us round was nice and explain everything. First night we found the oven didn't work, so we had no oven all week...not sure how this was missed if the van was checked before being hire out again. They said they'd send someone out to have a look, but never did. The van was nice enough, but a bit tired in places. The boiler had no cover on, so wire's we're exposed. For the money, it wasn't quite what we expected.

After 20 years of deliberation and seeing our ideal caravan at the NEC exhibition (from a different dealership) we visited this place and were delighted that not only had they the same caravan in stock but a 2nd hand version too. Not once throughout the decision making process where we put under any sales pressure whatsoever, this allowed us to make a long and informed decision (including several visits) before making our choice. They produced a print out of the weight ratio between my car and the caravan which answered all my questions re towing capabilities. The buying process was simple with again no pressures re add-ons and extras. One minor issue we had was with the handover - as complete novices, there is too much to take in one go. On hindsight we should have recorded the walk-through. The time allocated wasnt rushed however and all our questions were answered on the day. In their defence, unless one of their employees came on your first holiday with you to show you the ropes, I cant see what else they could do! (And they do provide an after sales service) The shop is incredibly well stocked with knowledgeable staff- a pin from a 3 pin plug snapped off inside a socket on our first trip and I envisaged a long wait for a replacement socket from the manufacturer. I got one off the shelf for £3.50. Although we use Amazon a lot, we always buy anything for the caravan from here as it's an excuse to enjoy the sausage butties in the cafe. In all, from start to finish it was a helpful, pleasing, unhurried and unpressurised buying experience and would definately recommend.

Having bought many caravans over the years I have always been reluctant to buy from a distance. The caravan I wanted was a Buccaneer and the very model I wanted was available at Preston Caravans but it was 200 miles away. Suffice to say I drove to them and bought it. We have been very pleased with the service given by them and any problems have been dealt with in a courteous and efficient manner . We travelled a couple of hours to get to Preston caravan and motorhomes because they had a broader choice of caravans than our local dealers. With this being our first caravan we were like rabbits in headlights. Luckily one of the new salesmen, Matt Bannister, guided us through the choices and he ended up on the bright idea of the Elddis Xplore range. After looking at the various xplore layouts we settled on a new 304 and the deal we were presented with was truly amazing. Not only that but with their awning and accessories shop we have come away with an awning and pretty much everything required to go caravanning. The handover was fantastic too. Being complete beginners the advice the guys gave us on the walkaround was invaluable! They were more than happy to answer any questions we had and with some of them being xplore owners themselves their knowledge was second to none. The only hiccup was that we had requested an external socket which we noticed wasn't there. However this was rectified immediately. Everybodies human. All in all if you haven't been here yet, get yourself there, I doubt you will be dissapointed. Thank You PCM

Gave us a great deal on a new van, just waiting on after sales service to get us the key that we were supposed to get as a spare with our new van (somebody lost it) and a replacement door retainer (magnet) which has fallen off after the first time of using it. 3 stars as the measure of a good dealership is not just the sales experience, but the after sales too. This will change depending on how it is dealt with. UPDATE: The person in the service department forgot to order the replacement magnet and spare key which we never received. It's been two weeks since somebody promised me that they have now been ordered and still no phone call or any update of when we might receive them. I get the feeling I will be chasing them again... So far a very poor after sales experience.

Preston sales department are very good the shop is excellent but the downside to Preston’s is the workshop the staff in charge don’t know what they are doing it’s difficult to get warranty work done we waited for them to sort out a problem and they kept telling us it was the maker so we went on a round trip of over a 100 miles to an open day spoke to the staff about our problem they got on to Preston’s and asked what was going on because Preston’s had not sent our report they had had it three months with going to the makers we finally got our warranty repairs done to satisfaction it’s the workshop staff that let Preston caravans down particularly the ones in charge as a member of the staff at Preston from a different department told me they are horrible in the work shop one director told us we can’t help you and walked away while talking to us that’s the one reason we will not be buying another caravan from them I hope you see my publication but I think the person in charge will not like it.

We purchased a brand new motorhome from Preston and initially our experience was excellent. We got a good deal regarding our part exchange and the sales staff were friendly and helpful. We did have a few problems after collecting the van, which should have been picked up on the pre-sale inspection, but these were resolved successfully, or so we thought. Three days later we set off on our long weekend only to find some of the problems still existed. On contacting them on the following Monday, the attitude of the service staff was blunt. Nobody apologized for the inconvenience although it had been a 130 mile round journey to get the repairs carried out. They have booked my van in again in just under a month, which means another 130 mile trip. Its only my experience but please be very careful when buying a motorhome from them:- sales team excellent, handing over poor, after sales even worse. I have just received a phone call from a gentleman called Rob at prestons , who apologized regarding the above matter, and also confirmed my booking in date 13th November and offered to put fuel in my motorhome to cover my journey. Sounds good. Two days before, i received a phone call from them confirming my repair and a booking in time. On arriving at 9.30am, as asked, at 10.30 they told me the had not ordered the part. another 130 mile trip wasted. They said they would be in touch when the part arrived. The van has finely been booked in on the 4th January 2018. The work as been carried out satisfactory.

Recently bought a new caravan from them. Got a good deal, with a good sales team. Was just let down on collection day which had been arranged for over 4 weeks. Due to staff shortage we were rushed through the details of our caravan, which was a very stressful day as it was also my first time towing as well. The van was missing the personal touch. Everyone was very helpful and were there to assist us in choosing extra equipment. It was like they had forgotten we were picking it up that day...I have given the feedback to Prestons and they have apologised for the situation. Subsequent communications they have been very helpful, I will be happy to use their services in the future.

Go here first! Great place. Can really recommend this shop for motorhomes campervans and caravans. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The standard of vans are out of this world. Great place to take a van for part ex. They really look after you, they are professional and you don't feel pressured. You can look round without fear. Lol :) I hate heavy sales like you get at some places.This was a totally different experience. Happy to answer our questions but not breathing down our necks. The purchase of our van was the smoothest transaction. Paul was a gentleman of his word and really professional We felt really valued as customers and really taken care of. I would definitely recommend people come here! Definately the best in north west by far! After you buy a van from them you also get 10% off from the accessory shop for a couple of weeks, which is great too. I bought some lovely new compact pans and a very contemporary looking malamine dinnerset.

This is the third motorhome we have purchased from Preston Motorhome and Caravans. All issues have been dealt with professionally. In particular I would like to praise Mel who deals with warranty issues. She spent 8 months arguing with a manufacture's warranty which the manufacturer would not acknowledge. She won! Bought a used caravan from here and received a good level of customer service, they even phoned to say they had found a problem(damp) and couldn't go through with the sale, but later on i bought for a reduced price. I never received my cris registration which they said they would send off for me though. The problem of damp was covered by the reduction in price so l can't complain to be fair.

We have just traded our motorhome in for an Affinity 554 caravan ,for mobility reasons. We have had a number of issues with Preston this past week.After speaking with a Sales manager on Monday I was promised a call back on Wednesday, it's now Thursday and have had no response. Couldn't do enough for us. Just picked the caravan up from storage and noticed a broken jockey wheel. Had no idea this place existed and called in on the off chance as drove on the way to Southport. I didn't get the woman's name that helped but she was amazing. Walked all the way to where I had parked with my van with a couple of wheels, decided which we needed and fitted it at no cost. We came from huddersfield to collect a part for our caravan. Although sat nav sent us to fields opposite! We found it easily once knew where to Park. Staff very helpful & professional. Covoid safety equipment & rules all in place. There seemed to be a hugh choice of caravan & motorhome accessories. Displays were v gd. V big impressive garage & repair shop. Snacks & ice creams at exit. A gd experience for us in these difficult days.

There is now a larger caravan and motohome dealership, service centre and a well stocked shop on a much larger site at Clifton just a couple of miles nearer Preston. Well worth a visit.

Decided to invest in a new touring caravan and went to NEC Birmingham where we met the team was greeted with a warm welcome and a brew, Phil showed us around the model we wanted and then told us that it was a supreme model they did oh thought that was way out of our budget so with Phil and Adam they sorted out what my van was worth so paid deposit and set a date in April for pick up, went before to double check on things and greeted again with a smile and he showed us the new van left us to have a good proper look at it time was not a problem for them left us alone completely . Then date came and we went to pick up the van left us with a free brew while they checked our old van then came back unfortunately did not get what the price we got quoted for our old van as had a bit of water ingress which we were unaware of, thought that was it as our budget could not stretch but after a chat with the team we came to a great deal and a big thanks for the help they gave us, on collection Karl showed us all the essential workings of the caravan thoroughly after final payment sent away with big smiles all round and if any problems ring them and they would help sort it out , many thanks again Tom & Eileen

We met the sales team from Prestons at the CC National Rally at Sandringham, they had a selection of caravans and motor homes on site and we found the motor home that ticked all of our boxes. Although we are 300 miles from Prestons we brought a new motor home as we felt the sales team (especially Kim) were very thorough and agreed a pick up date. I had read some of the online reviews and can honestly say I was a little nervous. We were greeted by a very friendly sales team and Kim bent over backwards to make everything go as smoothly as possible. This was the weekend our dream came true. We took ownership of the vehicle of our dreams, our Elddis Supreme 196, the one with the drop down bed! Still dreaming, driving out of the site after the handover, I glanced at the fuel meter and suddenly realised PCM were indeed providing us with the stuff of dreams, expecting us to drive this dream entirely without fuel. How thoughtful! The tank was right at the very bottom of the reserve at the very point where this luxurious motorhome stops running on fuel and starts to run on fumes. Miraculously we made it to a filling station. At the camp site we proceeded to set up, trying our utmost to remember all of the information given during the handover, the first of which, was to open the gas. To my utter dismay the orange coloured gas cylinder we had seen with very our own eyes at the handover had evaporated We knew this is what gas did, or was, but the whole canister? When I phoned home, like ET in the movie, I found an alien voice not sounding very empathetic to our predicament, suggesting it was somehow our fault driving off without gas. Fortunately he, the alien on the phone, did not know how irresponsible we actually were attempting the supreme feat of driving solely on diesel fumes. I told him I didn't like his attitude at which point he proceeded to enlighten me that what he had wasn't an attitude at all. So, into the dream vehicle we stepped and drove back to base. I was looking for the guy without the attitude but fortunately I was met by the patron saint of the whole company, 'n little woman named Cindy appeared, who listened, empathised and with the help of Kim sorted the problem with attitude, a good attitude, demonstrating clearly in this case that a good after sales attitude was better than none. The next day we started our work of getting to know the supreme vehicle, the one with the drop down bed, inside out, but unfortunately our dream got dented again when we dropped the drop down bed. We learned it was apparently good at dropping down but not great at going up, or going all the way up. It got stuck halfway up in a sort of a semi position. Phoned home again and met by another individual with no attitude who proceeded to explain how impossible his situation was. It was Saturday afternoon if I hadn't noticed and it was late. They did not have people, they probably wouldn't have the part and it sounded as if they did not want to be part of the whole thing. That we were going to have to crawl around under our drop down, half-up bed like luxury cave dwellers, wasn't really his concern. I told him, sounding somewhere between desperate and ominous that we were returning to base anyway (again!). To our pleasant surprise we weren't met by a deserted landscape but a hive of activity even though it was Saturday and late. Fortunately the patron saint, appeared again, Cindy who promptly provided the assistance of one, Paul, who started a meticulous search for the fault which turned out to be just a resettable, unforgetable fuse somewhere in a compartment high above the driver's head, and in my case, knowledge and competence. Having reset the regrettable resettable, the drop down bed not only dropped down, but defying gravity also went up, all the way! What a combination, Cindy with the superpowers and Saint Paul performing miracles where the non-believer on the phone with no attitude had not thought it possible. Regarding the rating issue of stars, there are some at PCM, some brilliant and vibrant, but there are a few black holes too! A bit like family then.

We have dealt with Campbells Caravans over several years, but never been happy with the service side of the operation for warranty work or other issues, as a consequence we had to deal with other companies. However with the company being local to where we live we decided to give them another chance and purchased a new Motorhome in 2014 from Paul Parkinson in the sales team, which was a professional and pleasant experience. But, yet again the service issues let them down. However since the Company changed names to Preston Caravans and Motorhomes early this year it is a totally different experience as they are proffessional and efficient in dealing with after sales, warranty work, service and the customer care, I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Just keep up the good work for all of us Happy Campers.
