Have used Grosvenor before for an MOT in the past..quick efficient service! This time..phoned up Monday for an MOT and Brake fluid service, helpful and curteous gentleman at reception booked it all in for Wednesday! Car was well looked after and a complimentary wash and vac included! Had another small request a day later which was dealt with promptly by the really helpful and knowledgeable girl that works there! I should have got their names but they know who they are..thanks once again. Definitely will be using Grosvenor again!

This was my first trip outside the dealer environment for 10+ years. And it was very good. Initial communication was excellent, speedy and informative. My first major service post-warranty.
A courtesy car came as standard and all was ready when I dropped off mine. Price was agreed beforehand and didn't change.
Early on I was sent a video of the underside inspection, covering tyres, brakes, exhaust and so on.
Car was finished and ready for collection in the early afternoon with an advisory on some bushes.
Cost was competitive and I shall return in due course.
Particular mention for Georgina who presents a helpful, pleasant approach on behalf of the workshop and answered my slightly technical questions both before and afterwards.

My BMW m3 had engine management light on and after few minutes engine went into limp mode. Called Grosvenor Reading who were very helpful. Tried to accommodate me next day and even supplied me with courtesy car. After working on my car for couple of days fixed my car for free. And valeted my car. E46 m3 smg software updated
I travelled two hours to Grosvenor to have software flash/ update to the smg gearbox and dme on my e46 m3, first time I have used them.When I made enquires and booked in for the work they were very friendly polite and knowledgeable. My car was ready within a few hours of me arriving and on the drive home my car performed exactly as I was told. I am very happy with the company and the work carried out. I will use Grosvenor for all my bmw needs in the future and the four hour round trip will be worth it. Thanks again

I brought my car here for a full service. They called me afterwards to say that the bolt that holds the oil may have been sheared at my previous service. They would look to see if it can still hold if mot I would have to fork out almost 1k.
Thankfully that was not the case and the bolt held in place. That shows honesty. The service they did was also fantastic. The customer service is second to none. Thank you.

Twice now this company has saved me £2K each time, by making sure I avoid going to other main dealerships. First by resolving a common steering lock fault, where the steering wheel just locks itself and stares at you as you wonder what you did wrong.....and 2nd by fixing a common main head unit/idrive fault where it is on a ludicrous restart loop, that Apparently is so commong they see it many times a week.
If these faults are so common, BMW need to get it sorted, but also, why can't other places offer the reassurance beforehand that they can fix the problem?

Impeccable service from start to finish. They were prompt and polite during booking and were more than happy to give me quotes with and without my own parts. A health check video sent to you whilst your vehicle is on the ramp shows you the level of care and transparency they work with. This is a gem of a garage, when it comes to any work on a BMW, you really do not need to look any further. They even vacuumed and washed my car!

I came here last month when I had issues with my E93 convertible. The convertible motor was not working and therefore the roof was not retracting.
The friendly staff here diagnosed the issue and offered me the solution; a brand new motor from BMW costing £1,400. When I explained that was out of my budget, the staff offered me a cheaper solution. £600 or so pounds later, I had a refurbished motor fitted with the peace of mind of 12 months warranty.
The work was carried out the same day and my car was looking clean and vacuumed, ready for the sunshine!
I would highly recommend this garage for all work on BMWs and I will definitely be coming again.

I brought the car in to investigate driving noise. The guys immediately identified a leaking suspension arm. Unfortunately, I had to replace it using BMW Extended Warranty at dealership, and without going into details, the contrast in the attitude and quality of workmanship couldn't be more pronounced.
Everyone I met at BMW Grosvenor is super-passionate about BMWs and making sure that their customers are happy with their Ultimate Driving Machines. The guys went above and beyond, further than one could expect and definitely much further than the official dealership did. Barry, the service advisor, Mitch, the senior technician, and Peter, the owner and director, all genuinely wanted to help and address my concerns. Peter even took me for a drive and personally demonstrated where the issues were; Barry went on a drive with me to make sure he personally understands what issues I'm concerned about; Mitch changed the wheels on my car to some wheels from their own cars to exclude the noise coming from the wheels. And as a pleasant surprise, the guys only charged me for the actual work they've done.

Always had an amazing experience with this garage. I used to drive an old bimmer: a 20 year old 320i. I just wanted to keep it on the road without spending more than its value on maintenance. I mainly wanted anything that has to do with safety sorted. Grosvenor provided me with an excellent service over the years doing everything within reason and within budget.
These guys actually have some parts better than the original ones and they guarantee them longer than BMW guarantee theirs (including some for life). Some of the part they developed fix engineering errors made by the original manufacturer. I am thinking about the parts in some of the newer engines as when the original part fails, it destroys the engine beyond repair.
Sadly I sold my old bimmer but they helped me to keep it safe on the road. It looked shabby (like inspector Columbo car) but it never let me down.
I now drive a recent 5 Series Hybrid. Uncommon model but they have no issues with that. I took it today for a break oil change. Done within a few hours and the car was even valeted. They changed a couple of settings in the dashboard so battery charge is now presented better.
To talk hard figures:
- Price for brake oil change: £49 paid at Grosvernor.
- Price for brake oil change as quoted by BMW: £98 without the smile.
In the financial equation, I also include the fact that if I want to keep the resale value of my car, I need to make sure its maintenance book is stamped regularly by reputable and recognized houses.

Had an message on car saying take to BMW immediately, I rang them up and told them about the message.
Josh told me to take the car into the garage ASAP and they will look at the car and try to rectify the problem on the same day!
Well! Amazing customer service and ture to their word, taken car in at 9am, phone call @11am with the problem and fixed the problem the very same day. (Manifold replacement & crank pulley repair)
The mechanic even comes and has a chat with you, super friendly and customer service is the best one could ask for.
What more can I say! Well done team, I will definitely be using this garage again.

I had a steering issue with my car. My local garage recommended an expensive solution. But gros were very knowledgeable and had a good idea on what to change for a fix for less than half the price. The car was on the ramps, inspected and then fixed in less than a day. Very pleased with the service and I'll be sure to use them again

Having recently booked my BMW into Sytner for a minor service costing £350, I decided to contact Grosvenor who were recommended. Asked for the same service which was £160 which considering it's just a oil change BMW must be laughing all the way to the bank . Decided to cancel Sytner & book my car in, excellent job plus also had the bushes replaced which has transformed the cars ride quality & road holding.
As someone who has had BMW's for over 20 years Grosvenor will be my future company for all my cars needs.

I have owned many BMW's over the years and always used franchised dealers for servicing etc. However, on this occasion I decided to use Grosvenor to fix my BMW 320d AC issues. Not only where the staff extremely polite, friendly and professional, they found the fault and informed me in a timely manner and carried out the repairs the same day. When I dropped my car off, they informed me of the work they will carry out (in easy to understand technical details) and when I picked up the car, I was given a detailed description of the inspection and work carried out. The costs to replace my AC compressor unit was very fair and I would say from experience very competitively priced, so I was more than happy. I will definitely come back to Grosvenor in future and I would highly recommend them for any discerning BMW owner.

Had a problem with my footwell module Grosvenor motors sorted me out a reconditioned one for half the cost of a main dealership. Also I needed a new key for my BMW they sorted on out again much cheaper than a main dealership. When I collected the car they had cleaned inside out out. Visited Grosvenor Motor Company today after finding them online last week and where do I start!
What an amazing experience and fantastic service.
I visited to get a second key coded for my BMW 135i, and after a long early morning drive I got there and the staff were superb, the premises is incredible and the customer waiting room is just outstanding.
When they were finished I saw my car being parked outside the door ready for me and it had been fully valeted outside and in! I was lost for words... to visit to have a new key coded and to drive off in a fresh and clean car was just so great.
I love my cars and take care of them, and to have a company show such attention to detail is a really amazing thing, I am so impressed.

I had my BMW 520d M Sport in for a major service, brake fluid, wipers and MOT today, all done with no issues for £485. They even sent me a personalised video of the car on advisories in the future but nothing of major concern, which was a nice touch. Everything done and the car was ready, washed and vacuumed by 3pm. The courtesy car offered was very handy to continue with your day, and considering BMW Cooper Reading wanted £660 for the same service, I will be using Grosvenor from now on excellent service.

Grosvenor are a great trustworthy company looking after my BMW 525i
Twice now, they have quoted a price which I accepted but on collection of the car, the bill was much lower ...... they did not have to tell me about the lower price as I accepted the first quote .... but they did.
That's what I call good honest service and why I will always take my BMW to Grosvenor. They have a great hospitality area if waiting, with tea and coffee a big TV with living room comfort.
This is NOT a fake review, I am a real person who anyone can talk to.

I just used Grosvenor to get a full service and a ZF gearbox service. The car was turned around in less than a day and drives much better than it did before - I was hesitant on doing the gearbox but it's really made all the difference! They're very friendly and easy to get to.
My only minor niggle is it would have been nice if they covered insurance costs on the courtesy cars (standard at the dealers and other premium garages) considering I spent over a grand with them!

Simply amazing.. I’ve just had my BMW I8 in with these guys. I first took it to BMW Sytner in Maidenhead, for a diagnostics for a error message. After being charged for 1 hour I was told BMW needed to set it up for a feather diagnostics with a specialist team for £200 a hour plus Vat (due to it being a high voltage car) just to see what the issue was. I took the car back and went to Grosvenor, they took in the car and gave me a courtesy car.. by the end of they day they had diagnosed the issue and given me a price on the fix and said they could have it ready the next day for me.
They charged me just over £300 for everything.. can’t express how impressed I am..

My 3 series developed a "whine" and I was amazed that the main agent I bought it from (£28000) and then had it serviced at wanted a £99 diagnostic fee to look at the car! Grosvenor kindly looked at the problem and took it out on a test drive at no charge .They were just so helpful and affable that it's hardly likely that I will go back to the main agent in future! The clean and orderly large workshop is fully equipped but most important was the positive attitude of all the people I met there.
2 years later I've continued using Grosvenor for work on both a BMW and Mini copper and I continue to be very impressed. Affable and happy to explain work and prices. Sadly cars cost money to run, but I've always felt charges reasonable and the service level high. Highly recommended

I had some problems with my Mini Cooper and was really expecting the worst. I called the garage and was promptly booked in and supplied with a free courtesy car for the day.
They were very honest throughout and kept me updated. When the inspection was complete they sent me a really helpful video made by the mechanic under my car! All my worries were put to ease and it turned out to be a simple, cheap job. They advised me on parts that are showing wear but showed good integrity by advising me not to replace these parts for at least another 6 months. I found everyone very helpful and honest, they definitely look after you and dont try to take advantage unlike some garages. Can 100% recommend! Thanks guys :)

I've been very pleasantly surprised by Grosvenor BMW. Having previously had the car serviced at the main dealer i decided to go else where after Coopers refused to fix the car under warranty. Instead I took the car to Grosvenor who fixed it for a hundred pounds less, within a few days of my original email. They even cleaned it and provided me with a video of the under car with useful information about tyre and brake wear.
I will certainly be using Grosvenor for all my future repairs and services !

I have been using Grosvenor to look after my two vehicles for many years now and the standard of customer service and workmanship there is first rate. I wouldn't take my cars anywhere else.
The team are always courteous and knowledgeable, providing valuable advice and the work done is always done to a very high standard at a very reasonable price.
Unlike the franchised dealers, the staff who serve you actually know what they are talking about and they won't try and do any work unless its actually required.
In my experience customer service is generally poor in the UK, but Grosvenor is the exception.

Excellent support with no prospect of gain for Grosvenor! I live near Middlesbrough and needed advice about potential issues with changing from runflat to non-runflat tyres on my BMW M135i. Grosvenor responded to my web enquiry promptly and affirmed the advice on its web site that a move to non-runflat should not be an issue. It also advised preferences on premium (Michelin) and mid-range (Toyo) tyre selection. The chap advising me is Barry who even responded to a follow up e-mail during the evening well outside opening hours! If you need support for a BMW and live near enough to use the company, at least give them a call as their response to me was excellent.

As a local car audio business we try to keep good relationships with all local specialists of car manufacturers who can give us advice and service as and when we need it and these guys are in that shortlist!
We do a lot of BMW’s for In Car Entertainment upgrades (in particular audio upgrades which can be seen on our website! :) ) and occasionally we need a software update or programming done on the car to finish our installation off and after trying a few mobile guys and other companies with diagnostic tools we found the best solution was to take our customers cars here.

I have a 2004 BMW Z4 2.2 which has been suffering from an intermittent fault. My local garage hasn't been able to get to the bottom of it, so a friend recommended that I go to Grosvenor . The best BMW/ Mini garage in the area - so much more competent than franchised dealers and fair prices; My Mini had blocked washer jets - franchised dealers wanted £110 just to inspect car. Grosvenor fixed kinked washer hose for £20. Even got a perfect car wash, So relax when car with Grosvenor!
Just had Mini Union Jack rear LED lights retrofitted - needed new wiring connector and coding - all no problem to Grosvenor. Looks great, admired by everyone who sees it. Can't stop checking lights when locking/ unlocking car!

Where do I start, I've had my 4 Series 430D in there at least 3 times and everytime I visit I get great service and professionalism. They have carried out a full remap of my car which has made the overall drive of the car 10x better. The drive home put a smile on my face as the difference was night and day!
They have also carried out various coding on my car giving me digital speed readout between the clocks, beeps when i lock/unlock the car, auto start/stop override (this is a must!!) plus lots of other cool features that the BMW dealership wanted hundreds of £££ for.

I used Grosevenor for the first time to work on my Z3M last week. I can't rate the professionalism of the Grosvenor team and the quality of their work high enough. Whilst my car was with Grosvenor, they kept me updated throughout and made some very useful recommendations for future preventative maintenance, but at no point did they try to get me to book the car back in for additional work. In fact, they even gave me some advice on bits that I could do myself .
After this first visit, I can safely say that I will not be going back to a main dealer again, Grosvenor will now be my default choice for any work on a BMW.

I have only gone their once and I have to say that my experience was a bit mixed.
It looks like they have to up skill their knowledge on resolving issues around BMW idrive units. I had a recent issue with my NBT idrive unit (2016 F10) rebooting every few seconds and I took it to them. They did the diagnosis (think I got charged around £100 or so for the diagnosis) and told me that the head unit needs replacement and quoted me around £1400-1500. I took my car back and was searching for quotes for this (as I didn't want to spend this much amount) and an independent BMW retrofit specialist I found in internet just laughed off hearing me that the head unit needs replacement for this issue. He repaired the issue for around £150 and additionally coded to add bluetooth audio and some other extra features (mine was not the professional edition so did not have bluetooth audio). He even came to my house for repairing this (travelling cost extra). But to be honest, this may not be a normal case with all the mobile specialists - may be I was just lucky that this guy was very knowledgeable around BMW programming and looking at reviews of him, it seems even the main dealers sometimes call him.
Having said this,there are lots of positives also about Grosvenor - location is good and quite close to town centre,good customer service, seems to be a group of decent guys who are honest and knowledgeable overall and have a good relationship with customers. And I will still be going there for routine servicing and other jobs.

My 745i is now 12 years old, but thanks to Grosvenor, just keeps driving beautifully. These guys really know their stuff regards BMW engineering and Pete even forgives the fact that mine is not diesel!!! Sometimes they have to deliver bad news (re cost of replacement parts etc) but it is always accurate and Pete and Justin don't do BS............... they just get the job done better and cheaper than BMW.

I first visited Grosvenor 5 years ago to seek advice after hitting a scaffold pole on the motorway in my E46 M3. They showed genuine concern and got the car straight on a ramp to inspect it for damage. Have been using GMC for years and would highly recommend them (they were recommended to me by several people) - consistently better customer service, quality of work and prices than the BMW dealerships.
Unlike a certain BMW dealership I could mention, they are never patronising and will always take your concerns seriously and spend the time answering your questions - however silly/basic they may be. They have dealt with some smaller issues (like a top up of oil) free of charge, on the basis that you are a regular customer - I have never come across this anywhere else. They will never push you into having work done unnecessarily and will give you advice based on your available budget. They are also appreciative of your sense of time / urgency and will try and minimise any inconvenience to you as far as is possible.
Finally, ALL of the team provide professional customer service and you can tell that they all have a genuine interest in providing the best service they can (including Trigger the delightful dog!).

so I was looking at and wondering
if there was a way to do other stuff
I found a website called Carly and other apps plug and play that does
windows and sunroof ect but doesn't work on gen 2 r56 or older BMW minis only newer BMW 😒
I had this done pressing and holding the lock button on the key fob
does windows and sunroof up all the way.
2. Panic mode – if the trunk release button is held on the key remote for 5 seconds, the vehicle alarm will be activated attracting attention.
3 .visuals and acoustics can be activated so when the vehicle is locked/unlocked the indicators will flash and an audible chirp is heard (single chirp for the lock, double chirp for unlock).

Having struggled with BMW franchise dealers and "supposed" experts on my achingly annoying steering lock fault I can only say I have the highest admiration for this company. Not only have they saved me thousands in clearing this issue but as a previous reviewer stated they do not charge the earth.
Quite frankly the service from BMW themselves is scandalous on this issue and I urge anyone reading this to contact Grosvenor. Its a clear design flaw across the range on slightly older BMW's and of course BMW wash their hands if you have not been squeaky clean on services being carried out at a franchise. A sensor on the steering rack, which is a sealed unit!!!, needs (in BMW's words!) the whole steering column changed over at a pocket crunching £2000 ....... for a sensor!!!. These very kind ladies and gentlemen sorted it and fitted a new motor to my drivers window which I supplied for .....£119 inc vat. A bit of a difference!!

Had a new key coded, great. Thank you. They have a problem with dashcams and will unplug them, not sure what they were trying to hide apart from the fact that whoever looked at my car tuned the radio in to Radio 1 and listened to it. Fine, do what you feel you need to do. Poor music and DJ choice is not a crime in and of itself. HOWEVER, upon getting back into my vehicle I noticed that not only was the dashcam left unplugged but the tiny micro SD card had also been removed and discarded in the cup holder, this was unnecessary and meant that I could have lost my card and my dashcam would not have recorded any accident footage had I not noticed that it had been tampered with. If you are going to unplug my dashcam, PLUG IT BACK IN! it makes me wonder what else you don't do that's common courtesy to most people, such as flushing the toilet. Think about it. The reason that I have a dashcam is because a couple of years ago I was involved in a collision with someone who was driving without due care and attention, the car was written off and I escaped with bruises from the seatbelts. It could have been so much worse. I did not have a dash cam, and as a result I had only my recollection of events that happened so quickly, and no video evidence for the insurance company which made it harder to prove liability. Dashcams help prove liability and convict the idiots on the road. Attached is a photo of my former Mini Cooper that I walked away from. You did not have to unplug the dashcam AND the SD card and then leave it that way! Think about this next time you so carelessly disconnect someone's dashcam!

Took my Alpina B5 in to have an issue with the fuel level sensors fixed and mp3 activated on the iDrive. They were unable to get the mp3 to take even though the code had been deployed so didn't charge for it even though it may have activated after a nights shutdown. I did have to take it back for a second attempt. Despite it taking the best part of a day due to all the software updates needed I still only got charged the standard charge for the coding. Excellent service from Justin and the team and exactly why I use specialists such as these rather than main dealers who I would not trust with my car! Highly recommend.

I have been taking my BMW Touring to Cooper Reading for the last few years believing that the best service for my 2007 BMW was a Franchised dealer where I assumed I just had to live with the poor level of service, excessive costs and lack of care and attention.
It turns out I was wrong! After a particularly bad experience with Cooper, the next time my service was due I did a google search for BMW service in Reading and found Grosvenor in Richfield avenue where things couldn't be more different than what I had experienced at Cooper..
Not only do they offer a free courtesy car they also take a very personal interest in delivering great customer service and (shock horror) they only replace what actually needs to be replaced! They use genuine BMW parts so the costs are roughly the same as a dealer but their labour costs are lower and comparing bills side by side they take less time to do the same jobs as the dealer does.
The most recent example of how they treat their customers is when my left daylight running bulb stopped working and showed an error on the OBC. Having seen the youtube video on replacing the bulb I decided that I didn't want to have to take the light cluster out myself and didnt wantr to trust Halfords. So I called Grosvenor who said they could fit me in 30 minutes later. They took the bulb out to confirm the P/N and then when they put it back in again it started working. Rather than trying to sell me a bulb I didnt need or charge for the time it took to take the bulb out and put it back, they said the bulb just needed reseating, gave me the keys back and wished me a good weekend.
Fantastic service from a great garage, who have made owning a BMW that little bit more pleasurable, especially when something goes wrong.

If you own an M division BMW then this is one of the best places you can take your pride and joy. They treat it like their own car and want to give it the best treatment to keep it running perfectly. I use this garage for all my M3 servicing and modifications. They are more than happy to fit BBKs, lowering kits, etc. and the work is always done to a very high standard. Staff are very knowledgable and have run a few M cars over the years, if you need any advice then they are happy to help.

I’m from Swindon and have heard good words about Grovesnor, I had my BMW ecu remapped which has made the car so responsive and even more comfortable to drive, they also done some extra coding for me (folding wing mirrors, digital Speedo etc) which I had other BMW specialists say that the coding couldn’t be done to my car.

Had an low oil warning on my BMW on the way to work, took my car here at lunch time and handed over the keys. Got a call very shortly after telling me it was done, and when I went to collect it I was told I didn't need to pay anything and it was done free of charge.
