I have just purchased a new vehicle for my wife from Kia Reading through the sales manager, Jamie. I usually do not write reviews but the service and time Jamie gave me throughout the whole process of finding me the perfect car, sorting out the finance and the handover which was managed by Catherine was exceptional. The customer service i received from Jamie was fantastic and i will definitely be purchasing any future vehicles from him. I recommend this branch for any one who is looking to purchase a vehicle!

With the current fuel prices and being the owner of a large engined, powerful car, I decided to be a convert and go electric. Months of deliberation led me to Kia (Reading) and their e-Niro. It had a great range, brilliant reviews but, I was still worried about making the swap. That’s where Edward stepped in. I got a good price for my Audi, and Edward explained everything about the “switch”. He was an absolute superstar. He even drove my new Kia from Reading to my home in Somerset. He went through all the features of my new car and made me feel at ease (far superior customer service than Audi offered). There was plenty of follow up calls & emails to ensure I was happy. They even set me up with the local Kia dealership for servicing etc. I have to admit, I’m not completely sold on electric, but I am on Kia. I will be getting their EV6 GT next. If you are considering buying from Kia Reading, and you’re being sold a car by Edward, then you have no worries. He’s a good guy that will nurse you through the sometimes stressful rigmarole of buying a car.

Just got a new Kia Rio from Waylands and have to say the whole experience more than exceeded my expectations. We overall had good experience at Waylands Kia in Reading for our 1st electric car but could have been better. The sales representative was very professional, knowledgable and friendly. He gave us a warm welcome and listened patiently to our requirements. He arranged the test drive for us at the same time while we were on site and walked us through the car features. However, after striking the deal we found that the communication dropped down slightly and we had to chase few times to get an email reply but this may be due to busy time of the year. I would still recommend Waylands Kia in comparison against other dealers in Reading.

My experience at Waylands Kia Reading was cracking because Krystian was the best sales person ever!!! He was so kind, understanding, committed and trustworthy. He even spoke to my family and reassured them that I was in good hands! Being a young female and first time car buyer I needed reassurance and someone who I could trust and who could understand my situation. He worked efficiently, effortlessly and there were no hidden costs or hidden agenda. Best sales person ever he deserves promotion 💯!!! On the day of collection of my car, Krystian was unfortunately not in and another colleague handled all the paperwork and some things that were promised were not fulfilled to my surprise but they worked efficiently and apologised for time wasted and their lack of knowing. I know for certain if Krystian was in, it would have been an all smooth and all perfect car collection!!! However, I am super pleased with my overall service from Kia, Reading (Waylands) and would for sure recommend their swift smooth service to anyone!!! Paul Lyness is the reason I travelled from Glasgow to Reading to purchase my Kia Proceed. I have had the car now for about a month and I am thoroughly pleased with it. Paul's attitude to selling car's is like he is selling to a friend. I felt like he wanted to get me the right deal, never tried to upsell kept everything plain and simple.

After posting the review below, received a call to discuss my issues and see what can be done. At least there is some proactiveness to understand issues and resolve, which is appreciated.
No follow-up on sales enquiry. Sales people not delivering on commitments. Chased a number of times for a response and then told we're in the middle of a sales event! Only managed to get a quote once the GM called me. Wanted to subsequently place an order but no one bothered to return the call. So does that mean you don't need new business customers? Very poor experience

I originally made a phone call query to book a test drive for the Sportage. Katherine Morris was our sales rep and she was amazing and very professional from the beginning.
Her approach was nice and we never felt pressurised into anything. She explained all the features and details about the car.
My wife and I took the Sportage for a test drive and unfortunately it wasn't a car we were sure of purchasing. There was a couple of things i hated. Like the full touch screen. So didn't make a decision on the day.
However this was not anything to do with anyone. I guess we were just being fussy and used to the German brands we currently been driving for many years.
Katherine followed up with us via email which I thought was nice as she appreciated my feedback.
I highly recommend the Kia Reading branch and especially Katherine.
In the end we decided to go with a different brand but will consider reaching out to Katherine to see what's available.

I recently purchase a Kia Sorento from Waylands Kia. My experience was outstanding. Abbey provided a very professional service during the sales process. Would I recommend buying a Kia ..... absolutely. Would I recommend buying and servicing your car here.... mmmm. The challenge is they are so inconsistent. One minute their service is world class the next minute is takes for ever, the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and it turns into a hot mess. The flip of that is I bought my Kia in Brentford and they are awesome and the car (Niro PHEV) is just great.

My mum ordered a Kia Sportage through the Motability scheme back in July 2020. The team were lovely and
attentive and we were told it would likely be weeks not months for the car to be delivered. We are now in October and still no car, and trying to get someone to call us back is a nightmare. There has been several times that I've called, told I would get a callback and we hear nothing. The wait wouldn't sting as much if there was at least some attempt of communicating the progress of the order, even if there is no progress a courtesy call would be nice. The last correspondence we had was on the 4/10/21. We're now at the point that we're thinking of going to another dealership because my mum is so desperate to be able to get a bit of freedom back.

I bought a nearly new Kia Niro. Paul Lyness was extremely helpful from the beginning, friendly, personable, fair and not pushy. I’ve bought many cars over the years and dealt with many salesmen and have to say that Paul was top class.
On another point, it’s a shame that car franchises no longer offer perks like free tanks of petrol and a set of mats. But perhaps that was a thing in the sixties and seventies!

Bought a approved kia car from here a few months ago. Overall very positive experience. Had a few troubles initially getting someone to call me back but Jamie took over and was very helpful, easy to get hold of and really knowledgeable. Made the process as easy as possible. Only other criticism is that we did agree half a tank of petrol and the car was practically empty on leaving the dealership - only just made it to the petrol station! Can’t speak too highly of the staff at Waylands reading, from my arrival in the pouring rain to me leaving with the car I had travelled 300 miles to see and buy they were courteous, helpful and very efficient. Katherine Morris had offered me a great deal and subject to a test drive I was ready to buy. Katherine gave me the keys and invited me to have a good look round the car whilst she finished with another customer. I noticed that the spare wheel was missing and the battery of the spare key was flat, these were quickly sorted later. A colleague of Katherine showed me round the controls and fitted trade plates so that I could take a test drive and I went off into the wilds of reading. The car was very well presented and all that I expected, so after a short discussion with Katherine I agreed the purchase. Katherine dealt very efficiently with car tax temporary insurance and add ons, and arranged for the spare wheel and battery to be sorted. I got a great trade in price, and a good deal on my new sportage, I found Katherine’s communications throughout the whole process timely and at no time did I feel pressured into a sale. I am very happy with my sportage, I had a 55 plate 2l sportage for nearly 10 years, and I am very pleased to have returned to the brand.it certainly justifies the 600 mile round trip I made.

Negotiating the best, most appropriate new model and ensuring all deals and promotions were taken advantage of as well as getting a great trade-in for my then current car, Katherine was knowledgeable, attentive, friendly and enthusiastic throughout the process.

Took my car here (Peugeot) to be repaired under warranty as part of the Evans Halshaw group. The first time I took it down they identified the issues but needed to order the parts to fix them, they washed my car INSIDE and OUT!
Took my car back on the day arranged and had the issues fixed and again they cleaned the car inside and out. Now during Covid I would assume they would sanitise the bits they touch but these guys went to the trouble of even hoovering the back seats!!

Really disappointed with Evans Halshaw, original sale was fine but without getting into to much details I was mis-sold the service plan which has left me out of pocket.
I have given the company adequate time to find a resolution and submitted a complaint, it took over two months to respond and now they are ignoring all communications on a resolution which was originally suggested by themselves.
Getting hold of someone on the phone is near impossible as all I get told is someone will call me back and emails are ignored.
If you lucky enough to never need any aftercare I'm sure you'll have a pleasant experience but don't count on any issues being dealt with adequately.

My car's engine went, and didn't have a way to get my heavily pregnant wife around to dealerships. Finally got round to listing my review. I was looking for a replacement Nissan Note at Christmas time. I found the one I wanted via Evans Halshaw Reading. Dan Smith the salesman made the whole process of purchasing a pleasurable experience from start to finish. The car was ready to collect at the agreed time and although it was a 3 year old car was cleaned to look just like a new car. Aftersales was good as well. A small fault developed with the door handle after 2 months. The booking process was faultless, and it was fixed under the used car guarantee. Bought a new car from them recently and it certainly wasn't an easy experience. Wouldn't recommend buying from them. Had a number of issues:
Firstly we upgraded to the trim higher (picanto 2 from initially being interesting in the picanto 1) because "there was a huge waiting time on getting hold of the picanto 1's". Fine we thought, bit nicer anyway would rather not wait months to get it. Down goes the deposit, a week later I ring to enquire and sort out dropping off the old car for the scrappage scheme (tax and insurance running out so wanted to get it off to the garage beforehand), get told they are halfway through checking other dealerships to find us one. Couple of weeks further and get a voicemail saying "great news! can we give them a call back". Okay, we think, try and call back. The salesmen we were dealing with was always 'with a customer', never called back. 5 days later and many many calls we get told he's on holiday, so who I was on the phone too will resolve it. We were after the car in blue (cheap run around, no need for paying lots for a different colour), but the 'great news' we'd been told about was that we could wait until April for the car in blue or pay half a grand more to have it in black next week. Not impressed, we agree to the car as we'd rather not be waiting til April!
We go in to pick up the car and the 'handover' specialist couldn't explain anything to us. First time we've ever bought a new car, so was caught off by the receipt breaking down things like a 'delivery charge' (we had come to the dealership right?!), but apparently that was from the factory, the price advertised includes all these little bits but the receipt breaks it down. That's fine, but I can't believe we were the first people to ever ask this, and every question was met with a puzzled look and him needing to check with his boss.
To top it off, we'd tried to get asset protection insurance, signed up for it (and received a confirmation email), but when we got to collect the car, it didn't appear anywhere on the receipt (we only realised later when we tried to make sense of the convoluted thing!) and it seems to have just been missed off.
Overall it was a fairly stressful experience, and at no point did it seem like the staff had a good handle on what they were doing. Very poor communication, poor grasp of the meaning of 'great', and not easy to deal with, although they were always friendly, I have to give them that for sure!

Wow! Picked up my new car tonight and I LOVE it! Walked through the door a week ago to meet with Kane, a cheeky chappy but lovely with it and nothing was too much trouble! I went in to get one thing, but came out with something completely different but soooo much better! To be fair I put him under pressure and timescales, but he came up trumps. He worked late, got the guys in the body shop to do a top job and made sure that the car was perfect before I picked it up. He was thorough with everything, and went above and beyond to please. Found the Ford Galaxy we wanted @ Evans Halshaw in Burnley and it was transported down to Reading using their “move me closer” service. Had a couple of calls from Jordan in Reading who explained the process, asked a few questions and confirmed when it arrived 7 days later. The only minor negative was having to wait 30 minutes for the test drive, but apart from that minor blip the service was slick friendly and un-pressured, the price very competitive, as was the px price (even after we had a hiccup our side) and picked up our car 3 days after seeing it.

Nice enough people but just like we but any car the amount they offer for a car over the Internet not even close to what they offer when you're there waste of 2 hours
