I live in Manchester and last week i found our perfect car at DCC Southampton when looking online! I called and spoke with CARL and i cannot praise him enough, its now 7 days later and our new Mercedes is already on its way in the trailer to be delivered to us! Carl from start to finish kept me updated sending me photos and videos because we live 4 hours away to make sure we were happy! Nothing was too much for him! Jon, the sales person who dealt with me was superb, very responsive and helpful with any enquiries I had with the car. The only reason I have given 4 stars and not 5 is because there were problems with the car which I was not made aware of. There was a large crack in the leather on the drivers side seat and overspray onto the plastics and also in the wheel arch where they had touched up previous damage. Fortunately they were kind enough to reimburse the money needed to repair the leather and get the car valeted to hopefully remove the overspray. The overspray is still there and if i want it removing will need respraying… the alloys which they “refurbed” was poorly done and now the lacquer is peeling off, this is not a problem as I am getting them powder coated soon anyway so this did not trouble me. I took the car to a garage a few days after purchase as i could hear a noise within the brakes, they said i needed new pads and discs. I was quite surprised after only owning the car for 2 weeks… the brakes were 66% worn and DCC replaces them at 70%… fortunately they were kind enough to cover the charges of the new brakes which was very kind of them. The gentleman who helped the most was Matthew in after sales who kindly and generously helped me with the problems which I had with the car. Three weeks on now with my ownership of the car and i am more than happy. The team was amazing with dealing with my enquiries and could not fault the after sales support of Matthew.

Range of warranties offered - details well explained. Picked up car 3 days after paying deposit - very clean inside and out, in perfect condition for its age, plus fix of minor issue spotted during test drive. I was in the market for a luxury high spec car and after plenty of searching came across one on the DCC website. I found the car I was looking for at a brilliant price compared with other sites. The car was well presented and had a very detailed description. I enquired about the car and expected the usual pushy salesman trying to drive the sale. I must say I was pleasantly surprised to find it was the complete opposite. Marc was extremely helpful and answered all of my questions without any feeling of pressure. That level of service combined with a fabulous looking car prompted me to put a deposit down over the phone. I went and test drove the car a couple of days later and it was exactly as it had been described. Needless to say I purchased it. So if you are after top quality car without the usual sales pressures I couldn’t recommend DCC enough!

So, I admit to trepidation! Over the last 20 years we have only bought new or demonstrator cars from main dealer franchises, then our 1st son needs his first car!!! He cannot afford new or ex demonstrator. I found Iain and The Diesel Car Company and they had a 13 plate Seat Ibiza which is what we were looking for but was hugely worried, we all know the reputation of second hand car salesmen! The good news for us and the reason we went down there was that they are affiliated with the AA and have a 128 point inspection on each car, oh and the great reviews online! In fact the AA have a site for their approved dealers and stock and if the inspection has been done it can be downloaded straight from there. The garage offers a (not so basic) 6 month warranty on their cars but for peace of mind I purchased a comprehensive warranty from them for £399 that is better than main dealers (really!!) I want to point out here that Iain did not hard sell this, it is what we wanted, in fact he did not hard sell anything!! Well let me tell you this, I need not have worried at all, they deserve those great reviews, I get the impression that this garage is run by people who care, who want you to have a great experience. I dealt with Iain, he was professional, patient and great at communication apart from being just a really nice bloke. Time will tell if the car is great obviously as I am no mechanic at all but it looks sounds and drives beautifully. and at this moment and with a 15 month warranty I bought from them we could not be happier. Thanks Iain, I say this with with honesty and sincerity.... see you again in 2 years for son number 2 when he turns 18!

I visited the diesel car company as their very up to date website showed several cars I knew I would be interested in but because I already had a car on finance I was sure how it would all work. I was approached by a lovely young guy called Rich. He asked me what it was I liked and what I was looking for in a car and a realistic budget. Not your usual salesman, he wasn't pushing the most expensive car on me but was considerate to what I could afford. He even offered to buy a car in for me if they didn't have exactly what I was looking for. After him offering a good amount for my previous car we could start some calculations to what I could afford. Rich spent a lot of time with me and let me test drive a couple to make sure I was 100% happy with my choice. After never having much luck buying cars in the past, Rich made this the easiest transaction. He took care of all the finance (getting me the best deal), swapping my personal plate over and even having a door panel re-sprayed due to a scratch that I hadn't even noticed myself. Rich went over and beyond what I could ever expect from anyone selling a car. Not you average typical car salesman! wish they were all like Rich! Happy Audi Driver :)

Being a nervous purchaser, I was very grateful to have a long solo test drive in the car. This is a great element within The Diesel Car Company's sales process. I was also able to have a second test drive in the car which helped me to make my mind up. Excellent. I was very impressed by Iain's sales method - patient, friendly but not pushy. He did his level best to ensure the whole process was as painless as possible. Thank you Sir. The car was well presented on collection and I feel that they did a good job of preparing the car for me. Although the fuel gauge was showing that it needed refueling promptly - which was a little disappointing. I was not too keen on the fact that the monthly payment on the finance deal increased by £2.00 per month from agreeing the deal on Sunday to picking up the car and signing all the paperwork on Wednesday - I know it's not a lot, but still.... Also, if your budget is tight, I recommend you check on the amount of fees that the finance company charge before you agree the deal (in my case, the final payment is over double the the cost of the monthly payment). P.S. Although they state in their dealership blurb, it's not shown on each car's advert (on their website or on Autotrader) that each car is subject to a £99.00 admin fee - so add this onto any price you see advertised.

We bought a family car from here, after 2 days we started having problems with the car, garage took it back in and tried sorting the problem out, they gave me a courtesy car and when I needed a bigger car they gave me a lovely new 7 seater to use whilst problem was being solved. Communication was excellent and the owner personally dealt with us throughout. The car we had bought needed a lot doing to it so we were given our options and we decided we had such excellent customer service we would get them to source us a different car. I had a long list of wants from the car I wanted and they met them and I ended up with a better car than I had originally purchased. I would not hestitate to buy another car from them or recommend them to family and friends. We have experienced their aftercare service 1st hand and i was very impressed with all of the guys that worked there.

I recently brought a new car (Mazda 6 sport) from The Diesel Car Co. and it was such a refreshing change to buy a car from a decent, relaxed, friendly and none pushy car dealer! I dealt with Ian, who was really great throughout the whole process and is what really made me want to go ahead and buy from him. He wasn't pushy or sleazy, with pound signs in his eyes like most car salesmen, and i felt he was really genuine and very helpful. We noticed a tiny dent on the body work and the alloys needed doing, along with a small scratch and a low tyre. Ian dealt with all these things no bother at all and when i picked up the car all the marks had been fixed and car was like brand new. I px'd my X5 and have never done that before so was a bit worried about being stitched up on cost, but Ian got me a fair price for it and made the whole transaction very painless and no stress at all. Also a great bonus to get the 3 years free Services! I'm so happy with my new car and will definitely recommend them to friends looking to buy, and be back in the future should the time come to get another. I even had my baby and dog with me and Ian put on CBeebies TV and let us bring our dog inside the office. Thanks guys! :o)

Recently bought a used Vauxhall Insignia from the Diesel Car Company. Very pleased with the deal. I couldn't find a cheaper model with the same mileage and same age within 100 miles, except a couple of dodgy sounding Cat D cars. The car itself was very clean and tidy and they serviced it and provided 12 months free AA cover and a 6 month warranty. When I test drove the car I detected a slight wheel wobble at motorway speed and I was pleasantly surprised that they had indeed fixed it when I picked up the car. I don't know why people pay main dealer prices when you can pick up a second hand car 20% cheaper from a local car dealership. My only slight quibble is that I think personally they should include their £149 admin fee in the sticker price, but that's only a small criticism and I am so happy with the car I have awarded them the full five stars. I am a very fussy customer and extremely anal about my cars, so take this as good feedback.

If the car is due a service or MOT when purchased, it is taken care of as standard before you drive it away. Any problems you find with a vehicle are corrected before you drive it away. Having seen a customer return with a car they recently purchased from here which unfortunately had a couple of issues, these were taking care of no questions asked. In an ideal world, nobody wants to have these problems but knowing they will be sorted should you find any is a real weight of your mind. So lets see what the future brings but so far all is good. Note: Quality = Good due to the sales office condition, not the cars themselves. Lets just say it is a no thrills showroom.

Subsequently I have had a problem with the R/R EGR valve and I had only a couple of weeks left on the warranty. I called in and Marc advised this wasn't a problem and he would get it sorted for me.
