Sales: Purchased our first ever car in 1973 (Morris 1100) Since then have purchased many vehicles, including a few Volvos from Ivan Kessel at Summercourt. Upon retirement decided we would like to return to a youngish Volvo. This is when we turned up at Truro Volvo and met Sales Consultant Mike Butler, we were looking to offload our old Citreon C4 and purchase a Volvo V40 R Design. Mike had done a quick video in the wind and rain and emailed it to us prior to our visit. To cut a long story short, purchased the R Design, soon realised the "sporty" set up was not our cup of tea. Mike organised a deal for a V40 Inscription, did the deal, a couple of months later decided perhaps something bigger and younger would be better. Back to Mike, deal done for a V60 Momentum Pro, this is the one, beautiful car. Every time we turn up Mike has gone out of his way to help us, he has shown great knowledge of the vehicles he has sold us and has been courteous and friendly and most important with us, very patient . I have no hesitation in stating that in the 49 years we have been buying cars he stands at the top of our league table of Sales Consultants. Service: Have dealt mostly with Jo Venn with the minor niggles we have had. Again, as with Mike in sales very happy with his knowledge and customer care even when turning up with a problem without ringing ahead. When it's time to trade up again Truro Volvo will be our only port of call, meanwhile it's time to negotiate a good deal on a retrofit reversing camera! Added to review 14/09/22. Completely forgot to mention my gratitude to Alex Walker who stepped in and helped me through setting up Vodafone sim card and Volvo oncall. As soon as I contacted him he put together all the info I needed and helped me through the procedures via email, worked first time perfectly.

We had thought about changing our car and had looked at Volvo's alongside other cars. We decided that we would like to explore Volvo further and went into the Truro store. From the minute we were spoken to by the receptionist we were impressed. The showroom is bright, inviting and has several vehicles to look at. We were then greeted by Mike Butler and our experience from then on, up to and after driving our new car off the forecourt was exemplary! Mike carefully and methodically talked us through our choice of car and buying/leasing options. He was patient, friendly, helpful and professional and we did not feel under any pressure. We left with a clear understanding of our options and how to order online. We ordered our car and much to our surprise and delight it arrived much earlier than we expected. From the point of ordering to delivery, Mike kept us informed at every point, he promptly either responded to e-mails or returned calls. He gave us lots of advice about how to arrange an electric point for our hybrid car and how we could research best options etc. At the time we collected our car Mike was exceptional in helping us set it all up and explaining all the functions etc. He was incredibly patient and polite and nothing was too much trouble for him. Mike also offered his continued services to us as we got used to our car and is available to us for any questions, queries etc and always offers very sound professional advice. Choosing Volvo has been a really positive experience for us, it has been completely stress free, and we LOVE our new XC40! I would highly recommend this dealership and Mike Butler without hesitation!

I was unlucky enough to seriously damage my clutch on my Volvo XC70 after towing my caravan down to Cornwall from Leicester for our first holiday in in 2 years, new grandson followed by covid keeping us at home. On arrival my overdoing the manoeuvring of the caravan burnt the clutch enough for me not to want to attempt the trip home. I looked for a local Volvo dealer and found the Truro Motor Company and service rep Daniel a true gent. To shorten this story they looked after me fantastically although not a cheap job which I was fully aware of Daniel pulled out all the stops out to give me a generous discount also carry out a big service and MOT and arrange a little runabout vehicle for me with one days notice !! Absolutely brilliant service thank you Daniel and the mechanics etc at The Truro Motor Company 5 stars from me.

After many months, wasting time and money taking my car to an independent, I decided to let the professionals take a look at my Volvo to diagnose and repair a continuous and annoying knocking noise that had been present. The whole process from initial contact to the final handover after the work had been completed was seamless. I was kept informed by my service representative (Daniel, big shout out to him) along the whole process. A courtesy car was sourced for me after I had given minimal notice that I required one (a brand new Volvo V60!). Thankfully, after a test drive, the fault has now been fixed, something that no other garage could sort. It's refreshing to actually be treated as a customer and human in this day and age and all of the staff I encountered were friendly, polite and welcoming. Will definitely be returning when the car is due its MOT and service. Many thanks from a happy customer.

I recently purchased a 6year old XC90 from Truro Motors via Volvo Selekt. The salesman Alex described the car over the phone and sent pictures for me to make our decision because we live 256 miles away from Truro. Alex made sure the whole experience was smooth and pleasant. The car is exactly as Alex had described, in mint condition. On arrival home I found a non mechanical fault not covered by the warranty, but Alex and the sales team offered to have the problem fixed at my local Volvo dealer and paid for the work as a gesture of good will. I recommend anyone who wants to buy a Volvo to go to Truro Motor Company first. They really go the extra mile to provide a level of service over and above expectations. Also the whole experience was Covid safe, even the steering wheel had been shrink wrapped ready for collection. Well done and thanks. Mark.

What a difference a review makes! a totaly smooth and pleasant visit was had by my XC70, Simon the previously mentioned "pompous" service adviser, was helpful and informative, the courtesy car was, although outwardly needing a quick blast over with the Power Wash located 20mtrs away, presented at the door with plenty of fuel, so searching for a garage before getting off on your way, Simon explaining some of the control's, paperwork signed off I went to return at 17:00 as advised. At approximately 15:30 my mobile phone, "hatu matu"ed its jungle for now until my intrest wains, demanded my attention, upon answering a very polite Simon informed me that XC70 was ready and if i wanted to collect early I may, this option a took up as i had also finished buisness for the day. The journey from our Country pile to Truro Volvo Via the Shell refuelling station and attached mini hypermarket was uneventful upon reaching Volvo, XC70 was just being parked in the customer parking area, XC's Magic Blue paintwork gleaming in the mid afternoon sunshine. Simon greeted with a pleasant smile and upon beconing to sit proceded after the accustomed pleasantries to run through what works had been done to XC, he then showed me to XC explaining a couple of items in the settings menu of XC's onboard computer that I had asked about. His knowlege of said system was fantastic and he explained in a way that even this "self confessed luddite" could understand. So in conclusion and without prejudice I have to give TRURO VOLVO New score of 4 out of 5 loosing that final star because of the muddy courtesy car, a not so surprising turnaround as i did predict i believe that it was within TRURO Volvo's abilitys to deliver excelent service.
