Very pleased and impressed with Cantilever Car Centre. Delighted with my car (used Fiat 500 GQ). Saw one on their site and arranged a test drive. No hard sell and friendly staff. Decided I liked the car and bought it. Alf was excellent throughout. The car had a full service, some pre mot work done on it, full mot and one year AA breakdown. He arranged for a small dent and scratch to be repaired too (which looks amazing) even though I hadn't pointed it out. The vehicle was also delivered to my home in Wirral. The whole process was very quick, smooth and reassuring. It was clear to me that Cantilever have pride in their vehicles, staff and service and so they should. Couldn't recomend enough, absolutely no pressure to buy, very friendly and helpful. Went with my daughter to buy her first car and although we found a car it looked a bit rough around the edges but were reassured to leave them a list of things we would like sorted it would be done and they knocked it out the park, can not fault these guys. The only issue is parking so you might have to drive by a couple of times to get a space but well worth a visit.

Raised a few issues with the car after test drive, and they promised to sort them, which they did and all was ready when we came back to collect the following weekend (they were ready earlier than that, but i couldn't come back until the following week). I came back a few weeks after picking the car up with a minor issue that there was no way to know about after one drive, and i don't feel it would have been obvious to the garage either. They fixed it, no problems, no delays. Friendly service, not pushy at all and happy to address any issues with the car. As ever, it's worth knowing what to look out for - if something sounds strange, mention it, but i felt very confident with these guys, and would use them again. We went here on the off chance that they might have a few cars to choose from and not really expecting much. However they had a massive selection of vehicles to choose from with really good competitive prices, the cars were in really good condition low mileage and really well looked after. My partner actually works for a huge car supermarket so we wasn't expecting much in terms of c/s however the fully outdid ours. Really nice friendly staff, we didn't feel under pressure, we were left to browse and when we wanted to test drive we were handed the keys and allowed to go for a decent test drive. Everyone that worked there was helpful really genuine people which is all you can ask for when buying a car. The car we purchased was ready within 2 days in immaculate condition, we traded in a 2015 orange jeep renegade which we loved but due to circumstances had to get rid of they gave us a really good price and we drove away in our new BMW 2 days after purchase. I would highly highly recommend these guys for anyone wanting a hassle free honest car buying experience. The best thing is is that it's family run, and they give you 12 months service and MOT will definitely buy from here again!

OK. Bought a Seat Alhambra for a reasonably good price and was assured that the car would be given a full service and MOT, including resolving any advisories that would otherwise come up. The car both inside and outside looked clean and sparkling. The salesman was friendly and my wife received a nice bouquet of flowers on picking up the car. On the way back from picking up the car I noticed the breaks were not as responsive as they should have been and indeed appeared to be quite dangerous. I did a post sales AA report in which they highlighted a few issues, most of which were not unusual for a car of that age and mileage. However they did highlight an issue with the breaks requiring investigation (the report did not say break pads which it actually turned out to be in the end) and tyres being just about legal...something I would have assumed they would have resolved given it would have been at the very least an advisory under the MOT. Anti freeze in the water was at less than 10% concentration. Following the report I returned the car to Cantilever Car Centre and they promised to resolve the issues highlighted in the report. In all fairness they did resolve most of the issues. I am not sure what they did with the breaks but they initially appeared to be noticeably better than they were at least. However, not long after the breaking distance was increasing again and I was concerned to get this safety critical issue resolved asap. Given the time it takes to go in convoy from Manchester to Cantilever in Warrington I just thought it easier to go to my local garage, especially when I already gave Cantilever the chance to resolve the issue. It turns out the break pads at the front and back were quite worn (which for a garage would have been easy to spot). I just felt it easier to pay my local garage to do the job. Indeed once the break pads were replaced the breaking seemed absolutely fine. The car is in my local garage again now because I noticed it was losing water. The garage advised this was due to the radiator, which is another repair at £230+VAT and I suspect this is the reason the car was given to me with only a concentration of 10% anti-freeze because the previous owner must have just kept topping up with water. Anyway, my appeal to Cantilever is that if you say you are going to do a service and an MOT (including resolving all advisories) then do so. I don't expect perfection given the age and amount I paid for the car but things like break pads and radiator leaks, worn tyres should be resolved to ensure it is safe to drive. I would be happy to discuss this matter further with Cantilever, if they wish to do so.

Ford C-Max Titanium I traveled from the North-East to view a car i found on the auto-trader website. I was shown the car briefly by Nick Littler and then left alone to inspect the car without any pressure from a salesman. Any faults i found with the car (which were minor anyway) were dealt with hassle free as well as the car being given a new MOT and serviced thoroughly including new floor mats which i had requested. A few days later i received a phone call to say my new car was ready for collection and that everything was in order - which it certainly was. I purchased an Audi A6 from Alf at Cantilever Cars, he is the most honest car salesperson I've had the pleasure of doing business with. The car was better than the add explained, they completed all work on time prior to collecting the car. All was done and sorted within 3 days. Moreover, the initial warranty period had expired, and i taken the car to Kwik Fit to have the brakes pads and disks done, as the caliper had failed and locked. I called Alf to price check Kwik Fit to discover they was 240% more expensive than if i have taken the car back to Alf, but i was desperate and needed the work doing today in York. Alf offered me something, which i won't put on this recommendation, hasten to say, he is an absolute true gentleman. I would have no hesitation purchasing another vehicle from him or Cantilever Cars in the future. Top Class Service from day one, well done Alf and your team.
