I had a paint issue on my 3 month old Mazda 6 and the supplying dealer advised they could not help as they did not have a paint shop. Burrows was recommended to me by a friend so I spoke to David Smith. What a contrast to the other Mazda dealership, David could not do enough to help and with his support Mazda UK funded a partial respray which looked outstanding (Mazda approved paint shop FR Pulleyn are superb as well) when completed. I have just had the car serviced by Burrows as well even though it is out of my way with a 50 mile round trip, but in my dealings with them earlier in the year I got the overriding impression that they look after their customer. If somebody does a good job I vote with my wallet. The service price was reasonable compared to an independent workshop as well. Recommended.

Since buying my car 18 months ago, I have received exceptional service, from buying the car, to allowing me to work in the garage whilst the car had a service. Just before Christmas my car was hit by another driver and I turned up at the garage in shock. The team looked after me and reassured me everything would be OK, which they didnt have to do. Recently purchased a second hand Mazda 3 Sport , due to personal circumstances I had not physically been able to see the vehicle prior to collection , but all the dealings with the team at York were smooth and everything I had been told about the car proved to be accurate when I arrived. Very happy with the vehicle and all the process of purchase, thanks particularly to Chris , and although I have only had the car a week I would have no hesitation dealing with Turnbulls again, and recommending them to others . As always the service was carried out within the time frame given, and yet again the cost came well below what was originally quoted as it has on every service i have had done here (4 in total). I took my Mazda RX8 in for some recall work and I can not fault the customer service at all. From the call when I booked it in from picking the car up when it was finished was great. I received a text confirmation also which is nice. The man on the front desk drove the car out to me and printed the recall work that had been carrid out for me also as I asked, aswell as making a note when I dropped the car off to ask them the car warm up before turning it off. Unfortunately this will probably be my only Mazda as i only bought this car to sell once the work was completed, but i would certainly return if i had or do get another.

Recently had an excellent experience here. Called up earlier in the day to check they still had the car I had seen online (second hand polo) and when we arrived about an hour later it was in the forecourt ready and waiting, unlocked so we could have a nosy round without having to bother any of the staff. The member of staff who had organised this (David Smith) was great - friendly, approachable, not too pushy and really informative about the car, as a first time buyer of a car I had lots of queries, which David thoroughly answered. The staff at Turnbulls were not pushy in any way and were understanding when told that we would be test driving other cars and would need time to deliberate our decision. I have purchased 3 new Mazda 3's from Turnbulls over the last few years so was already hugely impressed by their quality of customer service, which is second to none. Last week I had an accident on the M1 and after being stuck in a "call menu loop" phoned Turnbulls in the hope they could help. Even though it was nearly 6 pm "Dave", who I now know is the most senior manager, answered my call, got Mazda Roadside Assistance to call me and offered to help further if I still couldn't get support. He followed up with numerous texts of support and information over the next few days. This is the kind of aftercare you get from Turnbulls, they always go above and beyond. As a senior manager myself and someone in my mid 50's with years of experience of buying cars / engaging with dealerships I can honestly say they are a glowing example of how a business / customer service should be run, in an industry which sadly often falls far short. Agreed to purchase a used car over the phone! Travelled 100+ miles on the appointed day, collected my new car and left mine in part ex. 24 hours later my new shows a dreadful fault (probably as result of the VW emissions 'fix'). Without any issues all repairs were arranged to be done locally by Turnbulls as was a hire car. This lot cost them £2000 and they took it in their stride! That in my book is amazing service, just doing the right thing for the customer with the minimum of aggravation!

I found what appeared to be a lovely second hand car advertised online. It looked to be in nearly immaculate condition, and was priced very competitively, so we drove 2.5 hours to Turnbulls Mazda in York to test drive the car. We were greeted very warmly and professionally, by David Dalby. Turnbull's are a Mazda dealership, but sell other cars second hand. When we took the car for a test drive (a BMW), David knew everything about the car. The car was beautiful and we bought the car. They did a thorough check up of the car and repainted a door for us. I decided to take the train to pick up the car, and David came and collected me from the station! If you are concerned about driving long distances to buy a car, go see them at Turnbull's. You won't be disappointed. The next time I need a new car, I may very well travel up to York to give them my business again I am so impressed.

The 'business' involved firstly helping our son purchase a most beautiful, almost new, Mazda 6 Sport 2.2 SportNav saloon. Secondly, it involved us enquiring about the availability of an older Mazda 2 as a second car for ourselves. The offer of a very attractive Mazda 2 later presented itself and we duly purchased that car a week or so after our son purchased his. Impressive too, was the competitive value of the three year service plan for the Mazda 6 and the free MOT for life offer on both cars. For both pieces of business we dealt with salesperson Chris Sawyer.This is a car salesperson I would thoroughly recommend to anyone. In addition to having a very personable and non-pushy style he was incredibly helpful and constructive. What we liked as well was that with both purchases Martin Turnbull spoke with us all and as well as personally thanking us for our business, assured us in a very believable way that if there ever was a future concern we needed to discuss, that we would receive first class attention. In these days where so much car business can be conducted in pressurised and sanitised environments it is good to know that here is a firm who still obviously want your money and business, but who exhibit values and practices that show they really genuinely care about you as a consumer and as an individual.

From the first call to the moment I drove away with courtesy fill of diesel for the return journey by turnbull the whole experience was a fantastic one. I called at Turnbulls looking for a replacement small car, my existing car did not meet my requirements. I was met at reception by Mr Chris Barnes. We discused my requirements in detail, and he recommended a test drive in the new Mazda2. What a pleasure it was to drive, the finish both internal and external was of a very high standard. The extra power from the 1.5 cc engine was impressive. The Skyactive Technology was something new to me but has proved to be a very useful aid. I purchased the SE-L version with automatic transmission and SATNAV which adds a lot of extras over the SE model. In addition to the 7 inch colour touch screen controlled by the Multimedia Commander DAB radio is an additional radio station. I could go on describing the benefits but feel the only way to find out as I did have a TEST DRIVE and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Very well played out garage selling Subaru's as well as Mazda's. The limited range of cars on show was slightly disappointing, as Mazda stock mainly consisted of the 3rd and 4th generation MX5's and a Mazda 3 although the showroom was well stocked up on brochures for all the models of both Subaru and Mazda. Cant say anything about the showroom however you can only take people on their actions.My car broke down outside this dealer at 3.30 pm yesterday.i had three young children with my me an initially we sat on the wall waiting for the AA which unbelivably took around 4 hours to get us on our way ..Point being that the staff and managers at the Turnbulls showroom took my young kids in gave them hot chocolate,toilet facilities and could not have done more for us in a difficult cold situation.Even when they closed at 6pm they gave me a personal number to contact if we need them..Restored my faith in human nature and kindness...the kids insist that i should but a car from there now although unfortunately i am skint[especially after my extortion from the AA] and only deal in bangers!.....IF you want to buy a car off decent ,good,honest people this place i can recommend.
